Chapter 1: Introduction
Chapter 1: Introduction
Use RightFax Remote DocTransport Server in conjunction with your
RightFax server to distribute the workload of sending and receiving
faxes via the RightFax server. The Remote DocTransport Server can
be run locally or in a satellite office.
Requirements
Setting up and using the Remote DocTransport Server requires:
lA RightFax server with RightFax 20.2 installed
l1-4 phone lines
lNetwork connectivity and a HTML5-compliant browser
Default factory settings
The device comes configured for:
lv.34 33600 fax transmission speed
lError Correction Mode (ECM) enabled
lBrooktrout SR140 transport installed and licensed
lDCHP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
Included with the device
The device ships with anAC power cord, four rubber feet for desktop
installation, two 19-in flanges and 6 screws for rack mounting, and an
Ethernet cable.

Chapter 2: Setting up the hardware and signing in
Installing or mounting the device
To install on a desktop, attach the included rubber feet on the bottom
of the device and place the device in the desired location.
To mount on a shelf in a 19-inch rack, attach the included rubber
feet on the bottom of the device, place the device on a pre-installed
shelf in the rack, and then secure the front-mounting brackets to the
rack frame using standard rack bolts.
To mount in a 19-inch rack without a shelf, attach the two front-
mounting brackets in the locations provided on the sides of the server
chassis, using three screws for each bracket, and then secure the
brackets to the rack frame using standard rack bolts.
Attaching the cables
To attach the cables
1. On the front of the device, plug in the phone lines (maximum
number of phone lines depends on your license).
2. Using the Ethernet cable, connect your network to the port
labeled GE 1 on the back of the server.
3. Plug the included AC power cord into the back of the server, then
into a standard grounded wall outlet.
Signing in to the RightFax administration
program
Using the RightFax administration program Web Admin on the Remote
DocTransport Server, you can change server settings and tasks such
as the server IP address and domain name, and secure communication
using TLS/SSL.
To sign in to RightFax Web Admin
1. Open your browser and go to http://<remote doctransport
server IP>/rightfax/admin or http://rfrdts/rightfax/admin.
2. Enter the default Username (admin) and Password (password),
and then click Sign in. The password is case-sensitive.
To sign out
lOn the RFRDTS <username> menu, click Sign Out.

Chapter 3: Configuring the media gateway
You configure the media gateway using its built-in administration
program.
To save your configuration changes
1. As you make changes to the media gateway, click Save to save
the new settings.
2. When you are done making changes, click Reset to write the
changes to the server's internal memory.
3. Under Reset Device, make your selections, and then click
Reset. The reset process completes after 4 minutes, and then
the Web Login page appears.
Setting up dedicated fax channels
To avoid call collisions when sending and receiving large numbers of
faxes, you can create trunk groups and configure routing so that some
channels will only receive faxes and others will only send faxes.
Note Channels that are not configured in the Trunk Group Table are
disabled.
To create trunk groups
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See Signing in to
the gateway administration program on page1.
2. Open the Trunk Group Table (Setup menu > Signaling &
Media tab > Gateway folder > Trunks & Groups folder > Trunk
Groups.)
3. In the Trunk Group Table, as needed for your setup, create
trunk groups to assign channels and phone numbers.
To set up routing for trunk groups
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See Signing in to
the gateway administration program on page1.
2. Depending on the routing you want to define, open the Tel-
>IPRouting page or the IP->Tel Routing page. (Setup menu >
Signaling & Media tab > Gateway folder > Routing folder >
Tel->IPRouting or IP->Tel Routing.)
3. Under Tel to IP Routing or IPto Tel Routing respectively,
make the necessary changes for your environment.
Assigning channels to RightFax routing codes
The server assigns default phone numbers to the fax lines. The
assignment starts with 101 and sequentially incremented by one. You
can change the numbers to match your phone system, and then assign
those numbers to your users.
You can use the same destination phone number in multiple rows.
Each gateway port can be assigned a destination phone number that
correlates to a routing code on the RightFax server. To correlate phone

numbers to RightFax routing codes, assign phone numbers to the
channels in the gateway administration program.
To assign fax numbers to fax lines
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See Signing in to
the gateway administration program on page1.
2. Open the Automatic Dialing page (Setup menu > Signaling &
Media tab >Gateway folder >Analog Gateway folder >
Automatic Dialing.)
3. Click the row of the port, and then click Edit.
4. In the Destination Phone Number box, enter the RightFax
routing code (DID/DNIS) that you want to associate with the
port.
5. In the Auto Dial Status list, select one of the following options:
lenable. If a ring signal is detected on the port, the gateway
dials the destination phone number for the port.
ldisable. No automatic dialing occurs.
lhotline. Digit routing or Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF)
routing can occur. If no digits are entered during the DTMF
session, the gateway dials the destination phone number for
the port.
6. Click Save, and then click Reset.
Setting the parameter for number of rings
You can customize the number of rings the server's FXO interface
waits to answer a call.
To set the number of rings
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See Signing in to
the gateway administration program on page1.
2. In the same browser window, open the gateway's Admin Page
(http://<remote doctransport server IP>:5050/AdminPage).
3. Click ini Parameters.
4. In the Parameter Name box, enter FXONUMBEROFRINGS.
5. In the Enter Value box, enter a value between 0 and 255.
When set to 0, the FXO seizes the line after one ring. When set
to 1, the FXO seizes the line after two rings. The default setting
is 0.
6. Click Apply New Value. The Output Window shows the name
of the parameter, the new value, and a description.
7. Click Back to Main.
8. Click Save, and then click Reset.

Chapter 4: Defining server settings and tasks
You must be a RightFax administrator with full administrative access to
change RightFax settings on the Remote DocTransport Server. Use
the RightFax administration program to:
lChange settings, such as the server's IP address, name, domain,
date and time, and firewall settings.
lApply a RightFax software update.
lRestart or shut down the server.
lRestore factory settings.
Getting started
To open Server Settings and Tasks
1. Sign in to RightFax on the Remote DocTransport Server. See
Signing in to the RightFax administration program on page6.
2. In the left pane, click System, and then expand Server Settings
and Tasks. The currently defined settings appear above the
options to change them.
Important Inform other users before performing a task that
will alter, restart, or shut down the system. The color of the title
bar of each option window indicates if and how the associated
task will impact other users.
About yellow and red title bars
When you click any of the options under Server Settings and Tasks, the
title bar of the window that opens is color coded to show if changing the
option would impact other users:
lA yellow title bar indicates that the server will become temporarily
unavailable.
lA red title bar indicates that the server will become unavailable, will
have an irreversible change—such as a software update—applied,
or that required settings are missing.
Changing the IP address or server name
The IP address and server name uniquely identify the RightFax Remote
DocTransport Server on your network. The IP address is assigned
when you first set up the Remote DocTransport Server. The default
server name is rfrdts.
To use more than one Remote DocTransport Server, change the IP
address and name for each additional Remote DocTransport Server
that you set up on your network.
You can change the IP address or DNS server by automatically
acquiring a new address or by manually assigning a new address.
To change the IP address
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Change IP Address.
2. Under IP Address, click Obtain IP address automatically or,

to use a specific IP address, click Use this IP address, and
then enter the following:
a. In the IP address box, enter the IP address.
b. In the Subnet mask box, enter the appropriate mask for
your network.
c. In the Default gateway box, enter the network's gateway
address.
3. Under DNS Server, click Obtain a DNSServer address
automatically or, to use a specific DNSserver address, click
Use this DNS Server address, and then enter the following:
a. In the Preferred DNS server box, enter the address of
the primary DNS server.
b. In the Alternate DNSserver, enter the address for the
secondary DNS server.
4. Click Restart.
To change the server name
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Change Server
Name.
2. Enter a unique name that complies with standard DNS naming
conventions. Names are not case-sensitive.
3. Click OK. The system restarts.
Changing domain settings
You can change the network membership of this Remote DocTransport
Server.
To change the domain settings
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Change Domain
Settings.
2. Specify the domain or network membership for this Remote
DocTransport Server. Do one of the following:
lClick Domain, enter the domain, and then enter the Domain
User Account and Password of an account that has
permission to add computers to the domain.
lClick Workgroup and enter the name of the workgroup.
3. Click Restart.
Setting the server date and time
Normally, the local date and time is automatically set when the Remote
DocTransport Server is connected to the Internet. If the server is not
connected to the Internet, you can set the date and time manually.
To set date and time
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Set Date and Time.
2. In the Date and Time boxes, select the date and time, and then
click OK. The system restarts.
Changing firewall settings
You can enable ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) echo
requests to receive messages about problems in your network. Use
these messages to troubleshoot connection problems.
To enable ICMP echo requests
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Change Firewall
Settings.
2. Select the Allow ICMP echo (ping) requests check box, and
then click OK.

Applying a software update
To apply a software update to a Remote DocTransport Server
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Apply Software
Update.
2. Click Choose File, select the update.fau file, click Open, and
then click Apply Update.
3. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then
click Apply Update.
4. When the installation is complete, click Sign Out.
Restarting the server
You may need to restart the Remote DocTransport Server when
troubleshooting or applying system upgrades.
To restart the Remote DocTransport Server
lUnder Server Settings and Tasks, click Restart Server, and then
click Restart.
The server shuts down and then restarts, which could take several
minutes.
Shutting down the server
To shut down the server software
lUnder Server Settings and Tasks, click Shut Down Server, and
then click Shut Down.
You can safely disconnect the power after a few minutes.
To restart
lPlug in the power cord. The software starts automatically.
Reverting to factory settings
After you revert a Remote DocTransport Server to factory settings, you
must reconfigure the system settings, including the server settings and
tasks, the RightFax settings, and as appropriate, the TLS/SSL
certificate settings.
Important Reverting to factory settings cannot be reversed.
To revert to factory settings
1. Under Server Settings and Tasks, click Revert to Factory
Settings.
2. Enter the Administrator Password, and then click OK. The
system restarts.

Chapter 5: Securing communication using TLS/SSL
To use TLS/SSL security for secure web sessions via https, you must
install digital certificates on the servers. These can be self-signed
certificates or certificates from a certificate authority. Depending on the
certificate authority, you may have to also upload a root certificate to
ensure that the chain of trust will function as expected.
Using RightFax tools, you can use only the X509 Certificate, Base64
encoded.
Note If you reset a Remote DocTransport Server to factory defaults,
you must repeat the process of uploading and installing a certificate.
Start here
To open TLS/SSLCertificate settings
1. Sign in to RightFax on the Remote DocTransport Server. See
Signing in to the RightFax administration program on page6.
2. In the left pane, click System, and then expand
TLS/SSLCertificate. Current settings appear above the options
to change them.
Using a self-signed certificate
To use a self-signed certificate
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Create Self-Signed
Certificate.
2. In the Common name box, enter the fully qualified domain
name of the server. The default server name is rfrdts. Each
additional Remote DocTransport Server must be given a unique
name.
3. Enter your identifying organizational information in the:
Organization,Organizational unit,City/Locality,
State/Province, and Country/Region boxes, and then click
OK.
4. When Remote DocTransport Server shows a message that the
certificate was created, click OK.
5. Change the security settings to use TLS/SSL and this
certificate. See Setting security to TLS/SSL on the next page.
6. Download the certificate to make it available for installation on all
client machines. See Downloading a certificate on the next
page.
Using a certificate from a certificate authority
To use a certificate from a certificate authority, first create a certificate
signing request (CSR) and then download and submit the CSR to the
certificate authority. After you receive the certificate, upload the
certificate to the server, and set security to use the certificate.

To create and submit a certificate signing request (CSR)
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Create Certificate Signing
Request.
2. In the Common name box, enter the fully qualified domain
name of the server. The default server name is rfrdts. Each
additional Remote DocTransport Server must be given a unique
name.
3. Enter your identifying organizational information in the:
Organization,Organizational unit,City/Locality,
State/Province, and Country/Region boxes, and then click
OK.
4. Click Download. The completed certificate request file is
downloaded to the Downloads folder.
5. Submit the certificate request file to your certificate authority.
To upload a root certificate, if needed
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Upload Certificate.
2. Click Upload root certificate.
3. Click Choose file, and browse to the file, and then click Open.
4. Click OK.
To use a certificate received from the certificate authority
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Upload Certificate.
2. Click Upload signed response.
3. Click Choose File, browse to the certificate file, and then click
OK.
4. Click OK.
5. Change security settings to use TLS/SSL and this certificate.
See Setting security to TLS/SSL below.

To set security to use TLS/SSL
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Change Security.
2. Select the Use TLS/SSL check box.
3. In the list, select the certificate.
Downloading a certificate
You must make your self-signed certificate available for installation on
all client machines. Every client browser requires a certificate.
To download a certificate
1. Under TLS/SSL Certificate, click Download Certificate.
2. In the list, select the certificate, and then click OK.

After you specify the connection information for your RightFax and
MSMQ servers, you must make changes to permission settings: either
on the Remote DocTransport Server or on the RightFax server.
Depending on your setup, making the changes on the RightFax
server—rather than each Remote DocTransport Server—can save
time.
To specify the RightFax server and MSMQ server
1. Sign in to RightFax on the Remote DocTransport Server. See
Signing in to the RightFax administration program on page6.
2. In the left pane, click System, and then expand RightFax
Settings.
When you first access this setting, rfrdts appears under
RightFax Server. After you specify the connection information
for your RightFax server, its IP address or name appear instead.
3. Click (...) to change the connection information.
4. In the RightFax server address box, enter the IP address or
name of the RightFax server.
5. Under MSMQServer, click Same as RightFax server or, to
specify a different MSMQ server, click Use this MSMQserver,
and then enter the MSMQ server address.
6. Click Test Connection to Server.
7. When the test is successful, click OK.
8. To only receive faxes and not send faxes, select the Ignore
outbound fax queue check box.
To change permission settings
Do either of the following:
lOn the RightFax server, in Administrative Tools>Computer
Management>Services and Applications>Message Queuing, grant
the anonymous_logon account Full Control permission for the
following RightFax-related MSMQ queues:
lfaxserver_receivedfax
lfaxserver_sendfax
lfaxserver_sendstatus
lOn each Remote DocTransport Server, change the permission for
the appliance from Local System account to a Domain account that
is a member of the local Administrators group, and then change the
settings for the following RightFax services to run under that same
Domain account:
lRightFax DocTransport Module

Sign in to RightFax on the Remote DocTransport Server to monitor
status information for channels, services, statistics, and events, and
manage dialing rules and destination tables. See Signing in to the
RightFax administration program on page6.
Channel information
To view channel information
lIn the left pane, click Channels. Each column shows information
about the operation and status of the channels.

Services status
The DocTransport Services are configured and started during
installation. For descriptions of the available services, see the RightFax
Administrator Guide. Symbols help to show whether a service is
running, disabled, stopped, or not configured.
The Services page shows:
lService Name. Name of the module or service.
lStatus. Running, Not configured, Stopped, or Disabled.
lRunning Time. The length of time that has elapsed since the
module or service was last started.
lStartup. Shows whether the service is automatically started or
must be manually started.
Starting, stopping, or restarting services
If you have the permission Can Manage Services in WebAdmin, you
can also manage services in Remote DocTransport Server.

If a service stops without user intervention, it is automatically restarted
after 60 seconds.
lClick Services in the left panel.
To restart services that are running
1. On the Services page, select one or more running services.
2. On the toolbar, click Restart. If other services are associated
with those you selected, the associated services will restart as
needed.
To start or stop services
lOn the Services page, select one or more services, and then click
Start or Stop.
Remote DocTransport Server statistics and
queues
Remote DocTransport Server statistics include the Description and
numeric Value of work. Queues show actions currently in process on
the appliance.
Symbols for queues show whether work in the queue is decreasing,
increasing, stable, could not be queried, or does not apply to the server.
Symbols for statistics help to show whether the value is critical, within
or outside the normal range, or not available.
To view Work Requests
lClick Statistics, and then click Work Requests on the toolbar.
The total number of notifications, conversion jobs, print jobs, and
other activities on the server is shown for each item listed under
Name.
To refresh the list, click the Refresh button at the bottom of the page.
Event Log
The log shows events that occur during fax processing and other
system tasks.
To view log data
1. Click Event log in the left panel.
2. To see General information and Details, if any, select a
message, and then click View.
3. To limit or expand log data, select Errors,Warnings, or
Information.
Setting up dialing rules
Each dialing rule consists of a number pattern and rules and restrictions
that will be applied if the destination fax number matches the pattern or
number.
Note If your organization requires a dialing prefix for all outgoing calls
(including all outgoing faxes), specify the prefix in the Global Board
Settings. See Configuring the DocTransport Modules in the RightFax
Administrator Guide.
To add a dialing rule
1. Click Dialing Rules in the left panel, and then click New.
2. You can enter a Comment to describe the dialing rule.
To add extra weight
lIn Add extra rule weight, enter a number in the range 0 -100.
This setting adds extra weight to the rule so it can be selected over
another rule that has a better pattern match.

To set pattern matching
1. In Pattern, enter the destination fax number pattern or number
that the dialing rule applies to.
2. In Priorities, select one or all of the priority levels to apply to this
rule.
3. In Fax Traffic Type, select how to restrict the rule.
4. In Minimum queue depth (in pages), enter or select the
number of fax pages that must be waiting in the server’s queue
before this rule is considered.
5. In Minimum fax size (in pages), specify the minimum number
of pages a fax must be before this rule is considered.
To select restrictions
1. Click Restrictions.
2. Select Server Restrictions,User Restrictions, or Group
Restrictions.
3. Select one of the following to restrict each dialing rule to specific
servers, users, or groups in your organization.
lAll(Every) to apply the rule regardless of the origin of the
fax.
lOnly these to apply the rule only to the IDs you specify.
Enter one or more names of servers, users, or groups to
which the rule applies. Use commas to separate multiple
entries.
You can select users or groups from the list. To filter the list,
enter a string in the search box.
lAll but these to apply the rule in all cases except the IDs
you specify. Enter one or more names of servers, users, or
groups that are exempt from the rule. Use commas to
separate multiple entries.
You can select users or groups from the list. To filter the list,
enter a string in the search box.
To make adjustments to the fax number
1. Click Adjustments.
2. You can adjust the destination fax number. For information about
valid dialing characters supported by dialing rules, see the
RightFax Administrator Guide.
lTo remove digits from the beginning (range is 0-127), enter or
select one or more digits in Strip beginning digits.
lTo add characters to the beginning, enter valid dialing
characters in Prepend this.
lTo remove digits from the ending (range is 0-127), enter or
select one or more digits in Strip ending digits.
lTo add characters to the ending, enter valid dialing
characters in Append this.
3. You can also Adjust fax priority (priority delta). Priority is rated
on a three-point scale: low priority <= 1, normal priority = 2, high
priority >= 3.
lEnter -2,-1,1, or 2to add or subtract priority points for all
faxes that match the dialing rule pattern.
lTo not change priority, leave the default (0).
To set destination routing
1. Click Destination.
2. Do any of the following:
lTo route faxes to any server on your network, select Send
via fax server and then enter the destination Server Name
(up to 47 characters) or the IP address.

lTo route faxes as inbound faxes to any server on your
network, select Receive into fax server, and then enter the
Server Name (up to 47 characters) or the IP address.
To include a TTI line on the fax, select Insert TTI, and then
specify the Fax ID that should appear in the TTI line.
lIf the RightFax server has multiple transports, to select one
of the transport methods as the fax destination, select Send
via transport, and then select the Transport Name from the
list.
For more information, see Configuring the DocTransport
Modules in the RightFax Administrator Guide.
To set time and day to balance fax loads
1. Click Time and Day to specify time periods for each day or use
the quick set buttons to apply common time restriction settings.
2. Specify the time periods for each day of the week that the rule
will be applied.
lOn each applicable day, enter hh-hh (24-hour format).
lOn days when the rule should not be applied, delete existing
entries and leave the box blank.
3. In Quick Sets, select from these settings:
lAll Times (default) applies 00-23 from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59
every day.
lWeekend applies 00-23 to Saturday and Sunday and
removes all weekday settings.
lWeekdays applies 00-23 to Monday through Friday and
removes all weekend settings.
lPeak Times applies 00-18 to Monday through Friday and
removes all weekend settings.
lNever removes all settings.
To select Special Actions
1. Click Special Actions.
2. Do any of the following:
lTo process faxes without delay on any available channel,
select No special action.
lTo send faxes only on certain channels, select Send on
specific range of channels, and then enter the Start
channel and End channel.
lTo prevent faxes from sending based on attributes such as
time and day or number pattern, select Disallow sending.
lTo prevent faxes from sending based on attributes such as
time and day or number pattern, but allow faxes to be sent at
a time not restricted by Time and Day settings, select
Reschedule after disallow sending.
lTo delay a send time, select Delay fax to specific time, and
then enter or select the time in HHMM format (for example, to
delay the fax until 7:15 PM, enter 0715).
lTo delay a send time for a specific number of minutes, select
Delay fax for a specific interval, and then enter the number
of minutes to delay.
To set DnD Notifications
1. Click DnD Notifications.
2. Select the check boxes of users you want to be notified when a
fax is blocked.
lYou can type a string in the search box to filter the list, and
then select users from the filtered list.

3. If Disallow sending is selected in Special Actions, you can
notify senders who attempt to send a fax to that number. Select
Notify the sender that the document was blocked.
Testing dialing rules and fax routes
You can test dialing rules and fax routes without sending a fax.
To set up the Test Scenario
1. Click Dialing Rules in the left panel.
2. Click Test Dialing Plan on the toolbar.
3. In the Fax number box, enter a fax number (up to 50
characters).
4. To test how each affects the execution or route of a rule, you can
also:
lEnter a User ID.
lEnter a Group ID.
lSelect a Fax priority (Low, Normal, High).
lEnter Number of pages (1-999).
5. If the dialing rule applies to production faxes, select Integration
fax. Production faxing is implemented with the Integration
module (for information, see the RightFax Integration Module
Administrator Guide).
To verify dialing rule execution
1. Set up the Test Scenario.
2. Click Execute Rules. As the fax is routed, the Result box
shows the following:
lEach dialing rule against which the fax number is compared.
lInformation about the match weights and server availability.
To verify the route of a fax
1. Set up the Test Scenario.
2. Click Trace Route. As the fax number passes one or more
servers, the Result box shows the following:
lWhich rules are being used.
lHow the fax number is manipulated along the way.
lThe number of hops or jumps from server to server.
lThe time it takes to route between servers. This does not
include the time to transfer image data. That additional time
depends on the size, resolution, and density of the fax.
Viewing destination tables
Destination tables are used to store and organize groups of numbers
such as dialing prefixes and area codes.
To view destination tables
lClick Destination Tables in the left panel. You can sort by the
Table Name or type a string in the search box on the toolbar to filter
the list.
To create destination tables
1. In Enterprise Fax Manager (EFM), connect to the Remote
DocTransport Server, using username/password
(Admin/password) to log in.
2. Follow the instructions for creating destination tables in the
RightFax Administrator Guide.

Appendix A: Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to http://rfrdts
If you are unable to connect to the Remote DocTransport Server after
connecting your network cable and browsing to http://rfrdts, your
network might not have Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
enabled.
You can temporarily connect another computer or laptop to the Remote
DocTransport Server and use it to assign an IP address on your
network.
To use a computer to assign an IP address
1. Ensure that the network interface card for the computer or laptop
is set to obtain an IP address automatically.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable between the network interface card
of the computer or laptop and the port labeled GE 1 on the back
of the Remote DocTransport Server.
3. On the computer or laptop, sign in to Web Admin on the server
(http://<remote doctransport server name>/rfrdts) with the
default admin account:
Username: administrator
Password: password (case-sensitive)
1. Click Appliance.
2. Click Change IP Address.
3. Under IPAddress, click Use this IP address, and then enter
the IP address,Subnet mask, and Default gateway.
4. Under DNS Server, click Use this DNS Server address, and
then enter a Preferred DNS server and an Alternate DNS
server address.
5. Click Restart.
6. Disconnect the computer or laptop.
7. Reconnect the appliance to the network.
8. Open a browser on a computer on the network.
9. Enter http://<appliance IP address>/rightfax.
How to connect to the operating system
After joining the Remote DocTransport Server to the domain, you can
use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to its Windows operating
system.
