4. Attention:
4.1 Before installing the heat pump, check whether the power supply corresponds with the
specifications for your heat pump. For details, refer to the label on the unit or this manual.
4.2 Install the recommended electrical protection devices, according to the local regulations.
4.3 Grounding the heat pump is required to protect you against electrical shock caused by an
eventual short circuit inside the unit.
4.4 An electrical wiring diagram is provided inside this manual.
4.5 For safety reasons, do not change or repair the heat pump without Permission.
4.6 Do not insert any objects inside the heat pump when running. It may touch the fan and
damage it or lead to accidents(especially with children).
4.7 Do not use the heat pump without the grid or plate work since it may lead to accidents or
abnormal operation of the unit.
4.8 If the unit is soaked by water, contact immediately our factory or our local representative.
The unit can only be reused after a completed check by our technical staff.
4.9 Unqualified technicians are not allowed to adjust the switches, valves or controllers in the
unit.

water directly. Water and electricity is separated to ensure use safe, to avoid electric shock,

Heat pump water heater absorbs heat from air, which power consumption be used only for

3.3 Project example
Fitting notice
Water system installation
●Drain pipe, overflow pipe of water tank should fit near by drainage channel to facilitate
drain, drain pipe should install drain valve.
●Service valve should be installed before installing electropneumatic valve on the system
pipe to facilitate troubleshooting later.
●User water pressure should lower than 0.6Mpa.
●User should choose metal pipe( such as stainless steel, plastic-lined, stainless steel lined
steel pipe or thin wall copper pipe), in case take plastic pipe( such as PP-R pipe, ABS
pipe etc), user should consider pipe flexibility between unit and water tank.
●Drain valve and disconnecting valve of system maybe need to stillst and in winter(as per
local winter temperature) to avoid frost shake.
3.2
●System should match pipe according manual, and according to related national standard
to construction.
●Pipe installation should horizontal or upright, pipe decorate reasonably, reduce bend
as much as possible, reduce resistance loss of water system.
●there couldn't find leakage phenomenon in pipe and the joint.
●leak proofness water pressure test should be done after finished the fitting of supplying
water pipe, cycle pipe between unit and water tank, meantime blow down to sure system
clean.
●After test permition no leakage, take steps to stillst and hot water pipe.
There are varied forms for engineering system of heat pump water heater systems, Here
introduce one split types water heater systems for reference only.

4. Fitting instruction
4.1 Unit installing
4.1.1 Fitting place choice
4.1.1.1 Mainframe
●Should fitted in bigger space and well-ventilated place.
●Fitting place ensure inlet opening and air outlet well-ventilated.(please see belowed diagram).
●Nearby filling place should set gutter to facilitate drain.
●Installing base or bracket should firm enough to sure unit running steady.
●Ensure installed unit is straight, don't lean.
●Please don't install mainframe in place gathering pollution, aggressive gas, dust, falling leaves.
●Installing places don't near to flammable and explosive and bright fire.
●To ensure the distance between mainframe and barrier as per belowed diagram.

4.1.1.2 Water tank
4.1.2 Unit installing
●Water tank should be placed where ambient temperature is more than 0.C .
●Water tank should be installed in outside or roof of room( which as per measurement of tank and
bearing force of building).
●Please don't install water tank in place with polluted, aggressive gas.
●The installation base for Unit could be concrete, or steel bracket, put shockproof rubber pading,
surface of base should be even and neat.
●Unit's design as per it's running quality.(Please see technical data parameter sheet)
●Use bolt to fix unit's bottom.
●There should have drainage channel on ground.
●The place for installing water tank should set concrete bottom.

5. Debugging and preoperation
5.1 Preparation before debugging.
a) Heat pump water heater unit inspection
●Check overview and inside pipe system of unit, whether it is damaged during transportation.
●Check whether there is air in pipe of unit, if there is , should use manual vent valve on the water
pipe inside the unit and vent valve of water pump to drain out of the air.
●Check if fan blade is interfered by fixed board and protecting wire net of fan.
b) Check Power Distribution System
●Check whether the supplied power is matched with required supplying power in the manual or
Nameplate of unit.
●Check whether all of the supplying power and controlling lines are connect properly, whether
wiring correctly, if grouding is reliable, whether all of wire connecting terminal are firm.
c) Check pipe system
●Check system pipes, re-water system, returm pipe, presure gauge, thermograph, valve, switch
of water level, wether they are correct installation.
●Check whether valves in system should open have opened and should shut off have shut off.
●Check whether heat insulation measurement are good.

5.2 Preoperation
5.3 Normal running
Preoperation must be handled by professional technical.
●The whole preoperation could be done after checked whole system and confirm they meet
requirements.
●Turn on the power, open the unit, mainframe delay 3 minutes to start. To three phase power
unit, check whether fan, water pump turn correctly at first, if not correct, should shut off
power at once, adjust the phase sequence. Measure compressor running current, to check
whether there is any abnormal sound.
●Check whether unit meet requirement after running for some days(usually for 3days),
once ok, it could be put into use normally.
●Heating operation process: power on---unit water pump running---water flow switch
detection---fan motor running---compressor running (When the low water level switch
disconnect , re-water solenoid valves open to rewater).
●Operation control

●Water level control: When low water level switch disconnected, open re-water solenoid
valves to rewater, meantime stop supplying water to water pump. Open suppling water pump
after high water level connected, shut off rewater solenoid valves after high water level
connected for 2 minutes(at least 2 minutes for rewater switch open and shut off ).
●When supplying water pump opens, don't rewater to water tank once it's temp. less than
(setted temp. -5 ) during disconneted high water level, rewater once water tank temp. more
than (setted temp. -2 ), shut off rewater solenoid valves after high water level conneted for
2 minutes. When supplying water pump stops, do need rewater timely whenever ( at least 2
minutes for rewater switch open and shut off).
●At the first time to turn on unit, Circulating pump/ compressor/ fan could run after low water
level conncted.
●When unit operates, Circulating pump opens. When unit shut off, Circulating pump will delay
30 minutes to stop running.
●When supplying water pump opens, re-water solenoid valves opens at same time, after 10
minutes to detect rewater temp., when rewater temp. is more than ( water tank temp. -5 ),
rewater solenoid valves stops. When rewater temp. is less than (water tank temp. -10 ),
open rewater solenoid valves again, make supplying water pipe keep hot water for long time.
When suppling water pump shut off, meantime rewater solenoid valves shut off.
●Four-way valves is on the disconnect status when normal running, only connect to work
during defrosting.

Maintenance
Heat pump water heater is a high automat ion equipment, regular check unit situation during uses, long term and
effective maintenance for unit could improve running reliability and using life obviously.
1. The water filter installed outside of unit should clean regularly, to guarantee wat er clean in side of system, to
avoid dirty water filter damage unit.
2. Users use and maintain the unit should attention that: All Safety protection devices in unit have setted in
factory, don’t adjust.
3. Regular check if unit power and electrical system’s connect wire strong, if electrical components have
abnormal action, if have should timely maintainance and replacement.
4. Regular check whether water system’s rewater, water tank’s safty valve, water level controller and air-release
devices work normal,
5. Check if water pump, water valve work normal, if water pipe and pipe connection leak or not.
6. Ambient of unit should clean and dry, good ventilation. Regular clean( 1-2 months) heat exchanger to keep
good heat exchange effects.
7. Regular check work situation of all parts of unit, if pipe connetion and air valve inside the unit have oil stain, to
guarantee unit refrigerant have no leakage.
8. Please don’t pile up aroung unit, to avoid jam inlet and outlet of wind.
9. In case the unit have no use for long time, should exhaust thewaterofunitwaterpipe,anddisconnectpower,
Wear a shield. When operate again, should check the whole system before turn on the unit.
10. When unit occur trouble, user can’t solve problem, pleaseadviseourlocalspecialmaintenancedepartment
to maintenance timely.
11. Clean unit condensor, we suggest to using 50℃-60℃,theconcentrationof15%ofthehotliquidacidcleaning
to clean it. Open cycling water pump clean for 3 hours, in the end rinse wit h tap water for 3 times. ( Suggest
preserve 3-ways connector when installing pipe, use filament to jam a connector), to facilitate connect pipe
when rinse. Prohibited to rinse condensor by corrosive washing liquid.
12. water tank should get rid of scale deposit after used for period ( usually for 2 months, which according to local
water quality).
13. Avoid the unit can’t start at the low flow or failure,Please installation a flow switch in the unit and check it
regularly.
