ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS SUB PF118A, MP112A, MP11
USER MANUALS
GENERAL INFORMATION
Active subwoofer. Corps form- rectangular. Made from – 18 mm birch plywood, corners connected with glue and wooden screws,
painted with structured color.
n the sides have built- in handle, which helps move the acoustic system.
The frontal panel closed with decorative metal grid- painted with powder paint and glued with acoustic foam rubber to protect the
acoustic system from direct water impact and dusts.
In the frontal panel have built- in low frequency loudspeaker 12, 15 or 18 inches. n the sides of acoustic system placed four
tunnels- phase inventors.
Active subwoofer designed on the basis of the passive subwoofer. Differs only with built-in amplifier which is located in the rear
panel of the system.
Amplifier protected against overload with built- in optoelectronic Clip-limiter.
Power amplifier is designed according to class D technology to deliver high efficiency and last heat. Cooling system- automatic.
Power supply source- impulsive.
The amplifier installed low frequency cutoff filters and adjustable crossover filters, used to limit the amplified frequency range.
Input block consists of input control knob, two symmetrical inputs (XLR female), two line outputs (XLR male), crossover filter
cutoff frequency control knob, output signal phase switch.
The line input and output connectors are parallel, i.e. the contacts of the output connector match the respective contacts of the input
connector. This allows to use the amplifier as a signal patching unit (e.g. for supplying a signal to active subwoofer).
Frequency cutoff control knob allows to set up limit of the amplifier bandwidth.
The output signal phase slide switch is provided for 180° reversing of the signal phase in order to achieve the best compatibility of
the sound signal phase of the loudspeaker (in which this amplifier is installed) with other loudspeakers within the same sound
reproduction
system.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The unit is supplied with a three- conductor grounded AC power cord, and should be plugged into a standard 3 wire grounded
electrical outlet which supplies 230 VAC 50/60 Hz.
BUILT- IN AMPLIFIER BLOCK DIAGRAMM
INPUT CONNECTORS
Use the XLR (male) connectors for the input, and XLR (female) connectors for the line output.
Make sure to use only shielded cables whether balanced or unbalanced. Shielding when properly grounded protects a signal against
external radio interference, interference generated by dimmers and other electric noise. Avoid placing input cables close to power
cords or power transformers.
As a rule, unbalanced lines of over 3 meters long are not acceptable. Greater distances require a balanced cable.
Unbalanced connection models with XLR input connectors, contact 3 (Cold "-" ) need to be mutually connected with base contact 1
(Ground)

CONTROLS AND CONNECTORS
1 POWER . power switch.
2 MAINS IN . power cable socket.
ATTENTI N! The power to the amplifier is supplied from single-
phase AC power mains
with protective grounding. To connect the amplifier to awall outlet,
first insert the power
cord into the power cord socket and then plug it into the wall outlet.
3 Channel B line output (XLR male): parallel to Channel B input.
4 Channel A line output (XLR male): parallel to Channel A input.
Channel A input (XLR female)*.
6 Channel B input (XLR female) *.
7 LOW PASS FILTER . low-pass filter cutoff point knob: sets the
bandwidth upper
frequency (80Hz ... 350Hz).
8 BASS LEVEL . input level control knob.
Used to adjust the level of the input signal applied to the power
amplifier.
9 CLIP / THERM. overload/ thermal protection LED
Indicating:
. overload condition characterized by sound distortion and
optoelectronic clip-limiter
active mode; thermal protection active condition. (See: Thermal
Protection above).
10 POWERLED.
In case of active DC protection system, the LED goes off.
11 PHASE . output signal phase slide switch. Used to set the
required phase of the output
signal:
. + . signal phase unchanged;
. . . signal phase 180° reversed.
UNPACKING
The manufacturers quality control system provides for careful examination of each product before it leaves the factory to ensure its
flawless appearance. After unpacking, please, check the unit for any physical damage. In case of damage, please, contact our local
dealer. Keep the shipping carton and all packing material, as you may require them for re-shipment of the unit.
CAUTION!
The amplifier runs on 230VAC voltage. Removing the cover will expose you to a potentially dangerous voltage! Do not use the unit
if the electrical power cord is frayed or broken. Power is supplied from 230V AC single-phase grounded 50/60 Hz source!
CAUTION!
The amplifier can yield dangerous output voltage! Do not install an energized unit into the speaker system. Do not touch the non-
insulated cable parts connected to the unit in operation!
CAUTION!
The high sound pressure level of speaker systems generated by high output power delivered by the amplifier may be hazardous to
your hearing. Please, take adequate safety precautions.
