IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
USER INSTRUCTIONS
When using the Hotplate, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the Hotplate to the electrical power supply, check
that the voltage indicated corresponds with the voltage in your
home. If this is not the case, do not use the Hotplate.
3. Never use the Hotplate when it is damaged in any way.
4. WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the Hotplate to
avoid the possibility of electric shock.
5. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cable,
plugs or the Hotplate in water or any other liquids.
6. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufactureroritsserviceagentorasimilarqualiedpersonin
order to avoid a hazard. See Returns Policy.
7. The user must not leave when the Hotplate is being used. Do not
allow children to use or be close to the Hotplate.
8. Do not let power cable hang over the edge of the table or kitchen
worktop or close to hot surfaces.
9. StandtheHotplateonatableoratsurface,ensurethatthe
Hotplateisplacedonrmlevelsurfaceandclosetotheelectrical
supplysocketandkeepawayfromanyinammables
and explosives.
10. Always ensure that you have disconnected the plug from the
electrical supply socket on the wall before proceeding to clean the
Hotplate or after using every time.
Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the
Hotplate for the rst time, and always keep these instructions.

11. Make sure that the power cable does not come into contact with the
heated parts of the Hotplate.
12. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the
Hotplate is in operation. Do not touch hot surfaces.
13. The use of attachments that are not recommended by the Hotplate
manufacturer may cause injury.
14. Do not use Hotplate for anything other than original use.
Do not use outdoors.
15. Do not leave the hotplate “on” without pots.
16. No liability will be held for any damage caused by noncompliance
with these instructions for any improper use or mishandling.
17. This Hotplate is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the Hotplate by a
person responsible for their safety.
18. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the Hotplate.
19. Do not use the Hotplate together with a clock timer or a separate
telecontrol system.
20. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be
placed on the Hotplate since they can get hot.

OPERATION INSTRUCTION
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before using:
1. Place the Hotplate on a level surface.
2. Plug your Hotplate into the electrical power supply.
3. Place the pots you are going to use onto the plate you intend to use.
Note:
a) The base of the pot must be the same size as the plate of
the Hotplate.
b) Do not put a pot/pan that has a larger base on the plate of
the Hotplate.
c) Do not put a pot/pan that has a smaller base on the plate of
the Hotplate.
d) Ensurethebaseofthepot/panisatandnotconcave.
4. Turn the Left or Right Temperature Controller to turn on either the
Left or Right Hotplate.
5. The Left Temperature Controller controls the heat of the
Left Hotplate.
6. The Right Temperature Controller controls the heat of the
Right Hotplate.
Note:
a) Donotoverllthepot/panasitcanboiloverwhichisa
burn risk.
b) The Hotplate will stay warm once it has been turned off so
do not touch the Hotplate.
1. After using the Hotplate, set all Temperature Controllers to the
“OFF” position.
2. Make sure the Hotplate has cooled down to room temperature and
wipe the Hotplate surfaces and with a damp cloth or a sponge.
DO NOT IMMERSE THIS HOTPLATE IN ANY LIQUID.
3. Do not use any chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clen
the Hotplate.

TheManufacturerherebyprovidesawarrantytotheoriginalpurchaserofthisproduct(‘the
consumer’)thatthisproductwillbefreeofmanufacturingdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship
which under normal, personal, family or household use (commercial use expressly excluded)
manifest themselves within the 2 year from the date of purchase.
EXCLUSIONS
• The warranty does not include and will not be construed to cover products damaged as a
result of disaster, misuse, commercial use, not in accordance within the written instructions
includedwiththeproduct,abuseand/oranynon-authorisedmodicationoftheproduct,
incorrect installation of the product or normal wear and tear.
• Remote Controls do not fall under warranty.
• Insect infestation of the electrical or motor makes the claim invalid.
• Broken Glass or Customer abuse do not fall under the warranty.
WAIVER
The warranty and the obligations of the Manufacturer provided herein are in lieu of, and the
consumer, waives all other warranties, guarantees, conditions or liabilities, express or implied,
arising by law or otherwise, including without limitation, any obligation of the manufacturer in
respect of any injury, loss or damage (direct, indirect or consequential) arising out of the use of,
orinabilitytousethisproductandwhetherornotoccasionedbythemanufacturer’snegligence
or any act or omission on its part.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
Any claim in terms of the warranty must be supported by a proof of purchase. If such proof
isnotavailable,thennotwithstandinganythingtothecontraryherein,theserviceagent’s
prevailing charges for services/repairs and/or spares will be payable by the Consumer upon
collection of the repaired product. The Consumer should call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER
CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa). Customers residing outside South
Africa can return the product back to a Pick n Pay store. During the warranty period the
productmayonlybeservicedand/orrepairedbytheManufacturer’sdulyauthorisedagent(s).
2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
If this product proves to
be faulty during normal
use due to defective
materials or workmanship.

REPAIRS PROCEDURE
Should you experience any faults on your Aim product, please adhere to the following
proceduretohavethefaultrectiedspeedilyandprofessionally.
You can return the product to the store.
Call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa) to
report the fault and make arrangements for the next steps.
Note: Should you live in an outlying area or outside South Africa, it may be necessary to
return the product to the store nearest to you.
COST OF REPAIRS
UNDER WARRANTY
Any items still under warranty will be repaired free of charge, as long as it complies with the
terms and conditions of the warranty (refer to “warranties” section in this manual). Any items
thatneedtoberepairedthatareNOTcoveredinthewarrantywillbefortheconsumer’s
expense. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the consumer
for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
OUT OF WARRANTY
Anyitemsthatneedtoberepairedoncethewarrantyhasexpiredwillbefortheconsumer’s
expense including call out fees. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be
provided to the consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
