1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Description
Your All American Scoreboard has been carefully inspected and tested before leaving the factory. It is
possible, however, that components may be loosened or forced out of adjustment in transit. If this occurs,
follow the troubleshooting guide (section 4). If equipment then fails to operate, contact immediately:

NOTE
If you need to send parts in for repair, please call the ALL AMERICAN
service department for a returned goods authorization (RGA) number.
1.2 Identication
The serial number tags are located inside of the battery compartment located on the back center of the
scoreboard. When contacting the factory for assistance it is important that the model number and serial
number are known.
1.3 Damage
Upon receipt, check for visible damage. If this occurs, or if damage is found after shipment has been
accepted, follow the damage claim procedure.
1.4 Damage Claim Procedure
An instruction sheet is enclosed advising the consignee in case of damage in transit.
If damage is noted at the time of delivery, consignee must obtain an ‘Inspection of Bad Order’ from the
delivering carrier. In order to process your claim, this must be properly lled out with a complete statement
of all damage and it must be signed by the carrier.
If damage is discovered after delivery, you should call the delivery company. Have them make out a
Concealed Damage Report. Fifteen days after delivery
are allowed, so this should be done promptly or it is impossible to process this claim.
Advise EVERBRITE corporation of necessary replacement parts or repairs.

Consignee will be invoiced and then should le a claim with the carrier to recover charges. To le your claim
follow this procedure:
(A) Cost of replacement parts or repair charges are invoiced to the
carrier by the consignee.
(B) The following documents, properly lled out, plus invoice are
forwarded to the trucking company in support of your claim:
(a) Original bill of lading
(b) Original paid freight bill
(c) Certied copy of original invoice
(d) Standard form for presentation of loss and damage claim
2. INSTALLATION
2.1 General Information
Shipping papers accompany each scoreboard. Check carefully to see that you receive the following:

2.2 Inspection
Tighten all screws and ttings that may have loosened in shipment.
NOTE
This equipment complies with the requirements in part 15 of the FCC rules for a class A
computing device. Operation of this equipment in a residential area may cause unacceptable
interference to radio and television reception, requiring the operator to take whatever steps are
necessary to correct the interference.

3. CONTROL CONSOLE OPERATION
3.1 Scoreboard Power
Plug the 9.6V rechargeable battery into the battery compartment located on the lower back center of the
scoreboard. The battery must be inserted so that the velcro on the bottom of the battery connects to the
velcro on the battery compartment. The battery power terminals will push into the metal prongs on the
left-hand side. The negative power (ribbed side of battery) will be facing outward closest to the battery
compartment cover. Push the red switch located on the back of the scoreboard down to turn the scoreboard
on. The scoreboard will automatically light up. Push the red switch up to shut the scoreboard o. When the
battery is low an “L” will appear in the period indicator. The scoreboard will automatically shut o when the
battery is completely out of energy. The scoreboard may also be operated by plugging the 12 VDC power
supply into an A.C. outlet.
3.2 Console Power
The control console is supplied with 2 “AA” Alkaline batteries located on the back of the control console. The
control console will automatically start functioning once the batteries have been inserted into the battery
compartment. Replace the batteries when necessary.
3.3 Remote Radio Learning
Each remote has an ID which is set at All American Scoreboards headquarters. If the Remote ID needs
to be changed, please call technical support. The remote should display the ID on a label in the battery
compartment. If the label is lost, the ID can be identied by listening to the tones that sound when the
batteries are replaced. Short beeps represent a single digit and long beeps represent a tens place. For
example, 3 short beeps would represent an ID of 3; 2 long beeps followed by 4 short beeps represent an ID
of 24.
Each scoreboard must learn to communicate with the correct remote. This will be set in the factory.
To teach the scoreboard to communicate with the correct remote:
1. Turn scoreboard OFF.
2. Press and hold the “LEARN” button located next to the power switch and turn power ON.
3. Release the “LEARN” button.
4. Press the
CLEAR
button a few times on the remote that will be used with the scoreboard.
5. Turn Power OFF.
6. Turn power ON and test.
NOTE
Replace batteries only as a set. Use only Alkaline batteries.

3.4 Changing Remote ID
The remote ID is set at All American Scoreboards Headquarters and will likely never need to be changed. It
is possible, however, that 2 boards will be sent to the same location with the same ID set in the remote. In
such a case, to avoid communication issues, the ID number must be changed on one of the remotes.
The ID number can be identied by removing and replacing the batteries in the remote. The remote will
sound a number of long beeps and followed by short beeps. For example, if 9 short beeps sound when
batteries are inserted, than the ID=9.
To change the ID number, remove the battery cover (batteries must be installed). Press the small button
located on the printed circuit board (pc board). The button will be visible through the hole for the battery
cover tab after the cover is removed. The remote will beep a new ID. The new ID will be the old ID+3. Using
the example illustrated above, the old ID 9+3=new ID 12 (one long beep, 2 short beeps). IDs can range from
1 to 64.
3.5 Time Setting and Control
Refer to diagram 6.1 for keypad layout.
To set an 8 minute period, Press:
TIME
SET

CLEAR
. This will reset the last time selection. The time will now
read “0”.
Press repeatedly or hold:
TIME
SET
MIN
until desired setting is reached.
Press and hold the lower middle button while pressing

to decrease the time.
Any time up to 59:59 may be preset in a similar manner.
To set the time to 3 minutes 35 seconds, Press:

until incremented to 3 minutes.
Press:

until incremented to 35 seconds. Increments in 1 second intervals.
Press:
TIME
IN/OUT
to start/stop the timer.
Press:
TIME
UP/DN
to change the mode of the timer.
The mode can only be changed when the timer is not running.
3.6 Team Scores
The Home and Guest Scores can be changed by doing the following:
Press repeatedly or hold:
HOME
SCORE
or
GUEST
SCORE
until desired setting is reached.
To reset the score: Press
HOME

followed by
CLEAR
.
Press and hold the lower middle button while pressing

3.7 Horn
The horn will blow continuously while
HORN
is pressed.
The horn will blow automatically at the end of each period for 2 seconds.
3.8 Period
Press
PERIOD
once to increment to the next period.
To reset the period, Press:
PERIOD
CLEAR
.
NOTE
An “L” appearing in the period indicates a low battery
condition in the scoreboard.
3.9 Setting up the Portable Stand
The portable stand is stored in the back of the scoreboard (see parts list, item 8). To remove stand, squeeze
wire stand together and pull out of storage area. Insert the ends of the wire stand into the two holes located
just below the handle in the backside, top and center of the scoreboard. The stand is intended to be used
on grass or a rough surface.
The scoreboard may also be hung from a fence using the supplied S hook and handle.

4. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
4.1 Introduction
This section gives maintenance and troubleshooting information. Included are troubleshooting guides
for typical scoreboard malfunctions. If the cause of a problem cannot be determined, please contact the
customer service department.
4.2 Test Equipment
A simple analog or digital voltmeter will be sucient for all user repairable problems. Printed circuit boards
requiring troubleshooting should be returned to the factory.
4.3 Troubleshooting
Whenever possible, follow the troubleshooting guides prior to contacting the customer service department.
If a problem not described in the guides exists, contact the customer service department immediately.
Refer to the diagrams provided for assistance in troubleshooting scoreboard malfunctions.
4.4 Troubleshooting Guides

batteries if necessary.
Scoreboard is out of
range
Ensure that you are in direct line of sight to the Scoreboard.
Ensure operating range is within specied parameters. If
learn button blinks on back of scoreboard, then the board is
getting a signal. If using more than 1 scoreboard, the learn
light will blink when any AAS portable remote is being used,
but the scoreboard will only operate the intended ID.
Scoreboard needs to
learn remote ID code.
Follow instructions in section 3.3 to teach scoreboard to
communicate to correct remote. If the light blinks, but nothing
changes with keypresses, it is likely that the remote isn’t
properly learned. See section 3.3.
Scoreboard
doesn’t display
correct information
The multi-sport
scoreboard is setup as

1. Turn power off on the scoreboard.
2. Press and hold the “LEARN” button by the power button.
3. While holding down the learn button, turn scoreboard ON.
4. Program the correct sport by:
Multi-sport: While still pressing the LEARN button, press
“TIME IN/OUT”.
Baseball: While still pressing the LEARN button, press
“INNING”.
5. Release button. Turn power Off.
6. Turn on and test.
Scoreboard digits
are dim.
Scoreboard is being
used indoors, after
dark or placed in
shadows.
The 6300 and 6400 scoreboards uses NCAP digits which are
intended and recommended for outdoor use. The digits will
be brighter in direct sunlight.
