SETTING UP YOUR BUTANE STOVE
1. Conrmthatyouhavetherightmodelforyourtypeofgas
supply.
2. Whenunpacking,makesurethatallofthepartsofthe
stoveareincluded.AssemblethepartsasshowninFig. 7.


in“O”positionandcartridge
leverisin“RELEASE”position
(Fig.9).Iftheignitionknobis
notcompletelyin“O”position,
thecartridgecannotbe
engagedinto“LOCK”position.

• Turn the ignition
knob on the stove
to‘O’,tostopthe
gasowandturn
the unit off.
• Ventilate the
area.
• Check for leaks
(see LEAK TEST)
• If odour or sound
persists,release
the cartridge
lock lever to the
upward posi-
tion and remove
and isolate the
gas cartridge
and contact
your dealer or
local gas supplier
immediately.

insertingthecartridgeguidetaboftheunitintothecartridge

5. Checkthatthecartridgesare
positionedproperly,andthe
cartridgeleversareinthe
“LOCK”position.

theunit.Turnthecon-
trolknobanti-clockwise
u n t i l  y o u  h e a r  a  ‘ C l i c k ’ . 
Repeatifnecessaryafter
waiting20seconds.(Fig.12).
CAUTION:
Incorrectpositioningofthegascartridgewillcausetheburnerto
breakand/orleakwhichwillproducehissingsoundandasmell
ofgas.Inthiscase,pleasefollowthe“LeakTest”.

LEAK TEST
Theleaktestmustbecarriedoutinawell-ventilatedarea,free
fromanyamesorothersourcesofignition.
• Withthecartridgesinstalled
inthestove.Opentheignitor
knobs.
• Brushtheconnections(stove
tocartridges)withasolution
ofequalpartssoapandwater
(makesureit’sfoamy).
• Astreamofbubblesforming
indicatesagasleak.(See
Fig.13)
• Ifbubblesappear,turntheigni-
tionknobOFF,‘O’,(clockwise)
andreleasethecartridgelock
leverstotheupwardposition
andremoveandisolatethe
gascartridges.
• Re-installthegascartridges,
makingsurethecartridgeslot
ispointingupwardandretry
theleaktest.
• Ifyouareunsureorifyou
cannotinstallthecartridges
withoutaleakoccuringplace
thebutanecartridgeoutsidein
acool,well-ventilatedareaand
contactAlvaon086 100 ALVA
(2582).
• Aleakbetweenthestoveand
canisterscanleadtoare,
whichisverydangerousand
canresultinextensiveinjuryor
evendeath.
USING YOUR BUTANE GAS STOVE
Howtoigniteyourbutanegasstove
Turntheignitionknobcounter-clockwiseuntilyouheara‘click’
sound.
• Iftheburnerdoesnotlight,repeattheignitionprocedure.
• Flaringmayoccurduringthewarmupperiodorifthe
applianceismovedduringuse.Thearingwillstopwithin
oneminuteorwhenitisnolongerbeingmoved.
