NORME DI SICUREZZA
DA SEGUIRE ATTENTAMENTE
A) PRELIMINARE
1) Leggere scrupolosamente il libretto di istruzioni. Fa-
miliarizzare con i comandi e con un uso appropriato
del rasaerba. Imparare ad arrestare rapidamente
il motore.
2) Utilizzare il rasaerba per lo scopo al quale è desti-
nato, cioè il taglio e la raccolta dell’erba. Utilizzi
diversi possono rilevarsi pericolosi e danneggiare
la macchina.
3) Ricordare che l’operatore o l’utilizzatore è responsa-
bile di incidenti e imprevisti che si possono verificare
a persone e/o cose.
4) Non utilizzare mai il rasaerba nel caso in cui:
- ci siano nelle vicinanze persone, in particolare
bambini o animali;
- l’utilizzatore abbia assunto farmaci o sostanze
nocive alle sue capacità di riflessi e attenzione.
5) Il rasaerba non deve mai essere utilizzato da bambini o
persone che non abbiano la necessaria dimestichezza
con le istruzioni. Le leggi locali possono fissare un’entità
minima per l’utilizzo del rasaerba.
B) OPERAZIONI D’AVVIO
1) Prima di utilizzare il rasaerba effettuare un controllo
generale ed in particolare delle lame. Controllare
il serraggio delle viti e del gruppo di taglio verifi-
candone l’usura ed il danneggiamento.
Sostituire le viti e le lame danneggiate o usurate per
mantenere l’equilibratura.
2) Prima di iniziare il taglio, montare le protezioni
all’uscita dell’erba (sacco o parasassi).
3) Prima di avviare la macchina agganciare il cavo al
fermacavo.
4) Controllare accuratamente tutta l’area di lavoro e
togliere tutto ciò che potrebbe essere espulso dalla
macchina (sassi, rami, fili di ferro, ossi, ecc.)
5) Durante il taglio indossare sempre calzature robuste
e pantaloni lunghi. Non avviare il rasaerba a piedi
scalzi o sandali aperti.
6) ATTENZIONE: PERICOLO! La benzina è alta-
mente infiammabile quindi:
-se fuoriesce della benzina, non avviare il motore
e allontanare il rasaerba dall’area dove è stato
versato il carburante: evitare di creare possibi-
lità di incendio fino a che il carburante non sia
evaporato ed i vapori della benzina dissolti:
- rabboccare prima di avviare il motore; non
aggiungere benzina o togliere il tappo del
serbatoio con il motore in funzione o ancora
caldo.
- rabboccare il carburante solo all’aperto uti-
lizzando un imbuto e non fumare durante
questa operazione o quando si maneggia il
carburante;
- rimettere sempre i tappi del serbatoio e del
contenitore della benzina e serrarli bene;
- conservare il carburante negli appositi conteni-
tori.
E’ severamente vietato fumare o usare fiamme libere
nella zona della dispersione del carburante.
C) UTILIZZO
1) Lavorare solo alla luce del giorno o con buona luce
artificiale.
2) Evitare, se possibile, di lavorare nell’erba bagna-
ta.
3) Non avviare il motore in spazi chiusi, dove possono accumu-
larsi pericolosi fumi di monossido di carbonio.
4) Non azionare mai il rasaerba se i ripari sono
danneggiati oppure senza il sacco raccoglierla o il
parasassi.
5) Nei modelli con trazione, disinserire l’innesto della trasmis-
sione alle ruote, prima di avviare il motore.
6) Non inclinare il rasaerba per avviarlo o effettuare
questa operazione su una superficie piana e priva
di ostacoli e di erba alta.
7) Avviare il motore con cautela seguendo le istruzioni
e tenendo i piedi distanti dalla lama.
8) Accertarsi sempre del punto di appoggio sui terreni
in pendenza.
9) Tagliare nel senso trasversale al pendio e mai su e
giù.
10) Non tagliare sui terreni con eccedente i 20°.
11) Prestare la massima attenzione nel cambio di
direzione sui pendii.
12) Non sollevare o trasportare il rasaerba quando il
motore è in funzione.
13) Fermare la lama se il rasaerba deve essere inclinato
per il trasporto durante uno spostamento su superfici
non erbose e quando il rasaerba viene trasportato
da o verso l’area di lavoro.
14) Durante il taglio, mantenere sempre la distanza
di sicurezza dalla lama rotante, data la lunghezza
del manico.
15) Prestare estrema attenzione nel tirare il rasaerba
verso di voi.
16) Non avvicinare e piedi accanto e sotto alle parti
rotanti; state lontani dall’apertura di scarico.
17) Non correre mai, ma camminare evitando di farsi
tirare dal rasaerba.
18) Non modificare le regolazioni del motore e non far
raggiungere al motore un regime di giri eccessivo.
19) Ridurre il gas prima di fermare il motore. Chiudere
l’alimentazione del carburante al termine del lavoro,
seguendo le istruzioni del libretto del motore.
20) Fermare il motore:
- Ogni qualvolta si lasci il rasaerba incustodito.
Nei modelli con avviamento elettrico, togliere
anche la chiave;
- prima di regolare l’altezza del taglio
- quando si toglie o si rimonta il sacco raccoglier-
la
- prima di fare rifornimento di carburante.
21) Fermare il motore e staccare il cavo della cande-
la:

- prima di qualsiasi intervento sotto il piatto di taglio o
prima di disintasare il convogliatore di scarico;
- prima di effettuare controlli, pulire o lavorare
sul rasaerba;
- dopo aver colpito un corpo estraneo per verni-
ciare eventuali danni sul rasaerba ed effettuare
le necessarie riparazioni prima di usare nuo-
vamente la macchina.;
- se il rasaerba comincia a vibrare in modo
anomalo (ricercare immediatamente la causa
delle vibrazioni e cercare di porvi rimedio).
D) MANUTENZIONE
1) Non usare mai la macchina se ci sono parti usurate o
danneggiate, per motivi di sicurezza. Non riparare i pezzi
ma sostituirli. Usare ricambi originali. I pezzi di qualità non
equivalente possono danneggiare il rasaerba e nuocere
alla vostra sicurezza.
2) Mantenere serrati dadi e viti, per essere certi che la
macchina sia sempre in condizioni sicure di funzio-
namento. Una manutenzione accurata è essenziale
per la sicurezza e per mantenere alto il livello delle
prestazioni.
3) Controllare di frequente i parasassi e il sacco raccoglierla
per verificare l’usura o il deterioramento.
4) Indossare guanti da lavoro per lo smontaggio o il
rimettaggio della lama.
5) Curare l’equilibratura della lama quando è affila-
ta.
6) Vuotare il serbatoio all’aperto e a motore freddo.
7) Lasciare raffreddare il motore prima di collocare il
rasaerba in un qualsiasi ambiente.
8) Non riporre il rasaerba con della benzina nel
serbatoio in un locale dove i vapori di benzina
potrebbero raggiungere una fiamma, una scintilla
o una forte fonte di calore.
9) Per ridurre il rischio d’incendio mantenere il motore,
il silenziatore di scarico, l’alloggiamento della batte-
ria e la zona di magazzinaggio della benzina liberi
da residui di erba, foglie o grasso eccessivo. Non
lasciare contenitori con l’erba tagliata all’interno di
un locale.

UBICAZIONE DELLE ETICHETTE DI
SICUREZZA
Il vostro rasaerba deve essere utilizzato con prudenza. A
tale scopo, sulla macchina sono state poste delle etichette
raffiguranti dei pittogrammi, destinati a ricordare le
principali precauzioni d’uso. Il loro significato è spiegato
qui di seguito. Queste etichette sono considerate parte
integrante del rasaerba. Se una di loro dovesse staccarsi
o diventare illeggibile, contattare il vostro Concessionario
per sostituirla.
Vi raccomandiamo inoltre di leggere attentamente le
orme di sicurezza riportate nell’apposito capitolo del
presente libretto.

I
ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO
1) PARASASSI (disegno n. 3) - Montare il para-
sassi (1) inserendo prima l’una e poi l’altra estremità
del perno (2) nei rispettivi supporti laterali (3 e 4)
dello chassis e agganciare le molle destra e sinistra
(5), come indicato.
2) MANICO (disegno n. 4) - Montare la parte
inferiore del manico (1) ai supporti dello chassis,
fissandola mediante la viteria (2) in dotazione,
prestando attenzione a posizionare correttamente
le rondelle di centraggio (3).
Montare la parte superiore (4) utilizzando la viteria
(5) in dotazione, curando il corretto posizionamento
della spirale (6) di guida della fune di avviamento.
Fissare i cavi dei comandi utilizzando le fascette
(7).
3) SACCO RACCOGLIERBA (disegno n. 5) - Nel
caso di sacco in tela, introdurre il telaio (3) nel sacco (4) e
agganciare tutti i profili in plastica (5) aiutandosi con un
cacciavite, come indicato nella figura.
4) Nei modelli provvisti di avviamento elettrico,
collegare il cavo della batteria al connettore del
cablaggio generale dei rasaerba. (disegno n. 6).
5) POSIZIONAMENTO SACCO RACCOGLIER-
BA (disegno n. 7) - Sollevare il parasassi e aggan-
ciare correttamente il sacco in tela (2) come indicato
nelle rispettive figure.

DESCRIZIONE DEI COMANDI E
FUNZIONAMENTO
1) ACCELERATORE (disegno n. 8) - L’accelera-
tore (se è previsto) è comandato dalla leva (1). Le
posizioni della leva sono indicate dalla relativa
targhetta. Su alcuni modelli è previsto un motore a
regime fisso, senza necessità di acceleratore (2).
2) LEVA FRENO (disegno n. 8) - Il freno della
lama è comandato dalla leva (2), che dovrà essere
tenuta contro il manico per l’avviamento e durante
il funzionamento del rasaerba. Il motore si arresta
al rilascio della leva.
3) LEVA TRAZIONE (disegno n. 8) - Nei modelli
con trazione, l’avanzamento del rasaerba avviene
con la leva (3) spinta contro il manico. Il rasaerba
smette di avanzare al rilascio della leva.
4) REGOLAZIONE ALTEZZA DI TAGLIO (dise-
gno n. 9) - La regolazione dell’altezza di taglio si
effettua per mezzo delle apposite leve (1) o del po-
mello (2). Le quattro ruote dovranno essere regolate
alla medesima altezza. ESEGUIRE L’OPERAZIONE
A COLTELLO FERMO.
Su alcuni modelli la regolazione dell’altezza di
taglio si effettua come da disegno n. 9/10.

ATTENTAMENTE LE ISTRUZIONI RELATIVE AL
MOTORE INCLUSE NELL’IMBALLO.

GARANZIA
1) La durata della garanzia è di 24 mesi dalla data
di vendita all’utilizzatore finale.
2) La garanzia viene riconosciuta, quindi, a partire
dalla data di acquisto. Per ogni richiesta di inter-
vento in garanzia è necessario esibire il relativo
certificato timbrato e compilato in ogni sua parte dal
rivenditore e corredato dallo scontrino d’acquisto.
3) La garanzia è strettamente legata ad un corretto
utilizzo del rasaerba effettuato seguendo con dili-
genza le istruzioni d’uso e manutenzione.
4) L’acquirente ha diritto alla riparazione e/o sosti-
tuzione delle parti avariate riconosciute tali dal
nostro rivenditore o dai nostri centri autorizzati; la
garanzia esclude comunque la sostituzione integrale
della macchina.
5) Le avarie causate da un utilizzo scorretto o dalla
mancanza di una manutenzione adeguata non
verranno riparate in garanzia così come tutti i
componenti soggetti ad usura di funzionamento,
quali cinghie, lame, ecc.
6) La garanzia decade comunque nei seguenti casi:
- lavori di manutenzione e pulizia inadeguati;
- uso non adeguato del rasaerba o particolar-

I motori a scoppio sono coperti dalle speci-
fiche garanzie della Casa costruttrice.
7) Eventuali danni causati durante il trasporto devono
essere contestati immediatamente al vettore con
apposita nota scritta sul documento di trasporto in
mancanza del quale la garanzia non potrà essere
riconosciuta.

SAFETY REGULATIONS
TO BE FOLLOWED WITH ATTENTION
A) PRELIMINARY
1) Read the instruction book carefully. Familiarise
yourself with the controls and correct use of the
lawnmower. Learn how to stop the motor quickly.
2) Use the lawnmower for what it was intended, that
is to say, the cutting and collection of grass. Other
uses may be dangerous and cause damage to the
machine.
3) Remember that the operator is responsible for
damage or injury to persons and or things.
4) Never use the lawnmower in the following cases:
- in the presence of other persons, in particular
children, or animals;
- if the operator is under the influence of medicines
or drugs that may effect reflexes and concen-
tration
5) The lawnmower must never be used by children or persons
that are unfamiliar with the instruction book. Local laws
may impose a minimum age to use the lawnmower.
B) START UP AND USE
1) Before use check the lawnmower carefully, par-
ticularly the blade. Check the blade assembly for
damage or wear and that all nuts and screws are
tight. In order to maintain blade balance, change
worn blades or screws.
2) Before use, check that the protections at the grass
expulsion point are in position (grass collector or
deflector).
3) Before starting the motor, fix the cable onto the cable
hook.
4) Check the cutting area carefully and remove any
objects that could be thrown by the mower (stones,
twigs, metal wire, bones, etc.)
5) When using the mower, always wear protective
footwear and long trousers. Never start the mower
while bare footed or wearing sandals.
6) ATTENTION: DANGER! PETROL IS HIGHLY
INFLAMMABLE:
- in the case of petrol spills, do not start the
engine. Move the mower away from the area
of the petrol spill and avoid fire hazards until
the petrol has evaporated and that the petrol
vapours have disappeared;
- fill the petrol tank before starting the engine.
Never fill the tank o remove the petrol tank cap
while the engine is running or still hot;
- fill the petrol tank using funnel in well ventilated
area. Do not smoke while filling the tank or
handling petrol;
- always replace the cap on the petrol tank and con-
tainer. Make sure that they are closed tightly;
- store petrol in suitable containers.
Never smoke or use naked flames in the presence of
petrol or petrol vapours.
C) USING THE MOWER
1) Always work in daylight or in a well lit area.
2) Avoid, if possible, using the mower under the rain
and cutting wet grass.
3) Never start the mower in closed spaces, where dangerous
carbon monoxide fumes may accumulate.
4) Never start the mower if there are signs of damage
to the chassis or when the grass collector or deflector
is not in position.
5) For self-propelled mower, disengage the drive
before starting the engine.
6) Do not tilt the mower while starting the engine.
Always start the engine on a flat surface free of
objects and long grass.
7) Start the motor with caution following the instructions
carefully. Keep feet away from the blade.
8) Always make sure to have a good foot hold on
slopes.
9) Always cut the grass lenghtways along the slope
and never up and down the slope.
10) Never cut the grass on gradients over 20°.
11) Pay attention when changing direction on slopes.
12) Do not lift or carry the mower while the motor is
running.
13) Stop the motor if the mower has to be tilted to one
side, when crossing surfaces without grass or when
taking the mower to and from the work area.
14) While cutting the grass, always keep to a safe
distance from the turning blade, governed by lenght
of the handle bar.
15) Pay attention while polling the mower back towards
yourself.
16) Keep hands and feet away from turning blades,
keep to a safe distance from the grass discharge
area.
17) Do not run, but walk at a normal pace avoiding
being pulled by the mower.
18) Do not modify the engine settings and do not allow
the engine to reach excessive revs.
19) Reduce the engine speed before stopping the en-
gine. Following the instruction book for the engine,
close the petrol supply when finished working with
the mower.
20) Stop the engine:
- each time the mower is left unattended. For
electric start mowers, also remove the key;
- before adjusting the cutting height;
- when removing or replacing the grass col-
lector;
- before filling the petrol tank.
21) Stop the engine and remove the spark plug cap:
- before carrying out work or repairs under the
cutter deck or un-blocking the discharge chu-
te;
- before checking clearing or working the
mower;
- before checking the mower for damage after

striking a foreign object and prior to any repairs
necessary before using the mower again;
- if the mower starts to vibrate in an unusual
manner (try to find and eliminate the cause).
D) MAINTENANCE
1) For safety reasons, never use the mower with worn
or damaged parts. Do not repair parts; change
them. Only use original spare parts.
Spare parts of another make, may cause damage
to the mower or jeopardize your safety.
2) In order to ensure that the mower is always in good
working order, always check that all nuts and screws
are tight. Good maintenance is essential for safety
and also to maintain performance levels of the
mower.
3) The grass collector and deflector should be checked
frequently for wear or damage.
4) Work gloves should always be worn when removing
or replacing the blade.
5) Always check the blade balance when sharpening
the blade.
6) Always empty the petrol tank in an open space and
when the engine has cooled.
7) Make sure the engine has cooled down completely,
before storing in any place.
8) Do not leave the mower, with petrol still in the petrol
tank, where petrol fumes may reach a naked flame
or light.
9) To reduce the risk of fire always keep the engine, the
exhaust silencer, the battery storage place and the
petrol storage area free from grass or leaf deposits
or excess grease. Do not leave containers filled with
grass cuttings in closed rooms.

EXPLANATION OF SECURITY LABELS
Your lawn mower must be used with caution. For this
reason, special warning labels have been placed on the
machine, as a remainder for the necessary precautions
during use. Their meaning is explained as follows. These
labels are to be considered as an integral part of the mower.
If any of them should become unstuck or illegible, contact
your local dealer for replacements.
We also recommend that you read the section regarding
safety regulations of this instruction manual.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1) GRASS DEFLECTOR (drawing n. 3) - As-
semble the grass deflector (1) by inserting first one
and then the other end of the rod (2) in each side
support hole (3 e 4) located in the chassis and fix
the left and right hand springs (5), as shown.
2) HANDLE BAR (drawing n. 4) - Using the nuts
screws and supplied (2) fix the lower part of the
handle (1) to the supports on the sides of the chas-
sis. Make sure the locating washer is in the correct
position (3). Using the nuts screws and supplied (5)
fix the upper part of the handle (4). Make sure the
pull chord hook (6) is positioned properly. Fix the
cable using the cable ties (7).
3) GRASS COLLECTOR (drawing n. 5) - For
grass bags, insert the frame (3) into the grass bag (4)
and fasten the plastic clips (5), using a screwdriver,
on to the frame as shown.
4) For electric start mowers. Connect the battery to
the main cable connector of the mower (drawing
n. 6).
5) POSITIONING OF GRASS COLLECTOR
(drawing n. 7) - Lift the grass deflector and
hook the grass collector (2) in the correct position
as shown in the drawing.

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS AND
COMMANDS
1) THROTTLE (drawing n. 8) – The throttle (where
equipped) is controlled by lever (1). The positions of
the lever are indicated by the label. Some models
are fi
tted with fixed speed motors, which do not
need throttle cables (2).
2) BRAKE LEVER (drawing n. 8) – The blade
brake is controlled by the lever (2), which should
be kept pulled against the handle bar during start
up and use. The engine stops when the lever is
released.
3) CLUTCH LEVER (drawing n. 8) – For self-pro-
pelled models, the mower moves forwards when
the lever (3) is pushed against the handle bar. The
mower stops when the lever is released.
4) CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (drawing
n. 9) – The cutting height is adjusted by using lever
(1) or knob (2). The four wheels should be set to
the same height. THIS OPERATION SHOULD BE
CARRIED OUT WITH THE BLADE STOPPED.
On some models the height is adjusted as per
drawing n.10.
BEFORE START UP, READ THE ENGINE INSTRUC-
TION BOOK INCLUDED WITH THE MOWER.

1) This mower is guaranteed for 24 months commen-
cing on date of purchase
2) The guarantee only comes to force, commencing on
date of purchase. Any claims under guarantee are
only valid if the date of purchase is confirmed by
the dealer’s stamp and signature on the completed
guarantee certificate and on presentation of a
purchase receipt.
3) Any claims under guarantee are strictly governed
by the correct use of lawn mower following carefully
the instructions on use and maintenance.
4) The customer has the right to the repair or repla-
cement of faulty parts as recognised by our repre-
sentatives or authorised dealers; the exchange of a
complete mower
5) Damage caused by an incorrect use or lack of
necessary maintenance will not be repaired under
guarantee as per any parts subject to normal wear
by use, such as belts, blades, etc..
6) The guarantee is void under the following circum-
stances:
- insufficient maintenance and cleaning;
- in-proper use of the mower or particularly seve-

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
A OBSERVER AVEC SOIN
A) FORMATION
1) Lire attentivement les instructions du présent Manuel.
Se familiariser avec l’utilisation correcte et les com-
mandes avant d’utiliser la tondeuse. Savoir arrêter
le moteur rapidement.
2) Utiliser la tondeuse pour l’usage auquel elle est destinée,
à savoir la tonte et le ramassage du gazon. Toute autre
utilisation peut s’avérer dangereuse ou entrainer une
détérioration de la machine.
3) Garder à l’esprit que l’opérateur ou l’utilisateur est
responsable des accidents ou des risques encourus
par les tierces personnes ou par leurs biens.
4) Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse lorsque :
- des personnes, particulièrement des enfants, ou
des animaux se trouvent à proximité.
- l’utilisateur a absorbé des médicaments ou
substances, réputés comme pouvant nuire à
sa capacité du réflex et de vigilance.
5) Ne jamais permettre d’utiliser la tondeuse à des
enfants ou des personnes non familières avec les
instructions. La réglementation locale peut fixer un
âge limite pour l’utilisateur.
B) PRÉPARATION
1) Avant l’utilisation, toujours procéder à une vérification
générale et en particulier de l’aspect des lames, des vis
de fixation et de l’ensemble de coupe pour s’assurer
qu’ils ne sont usés ni endommagés. Remplacer les lames
et les vis endommagées ou usées par lots complets pour
préserver le bon équilibrage.
2) Avant de commencer le travail, monter les protec-
tions (sac et déflecteur).
3) Attacher le câble sur le clip de maintien avant de
brancher la machine.
4) Inspecter minutieusement la zone à tondre et élimi-
ner tout objet étranger qui pourrait être projeté par
la machine (pierres, morceaux de bois, fil de fer, os,
etc.)
5) Toujours porter des chaussures résistantes et des
pantalons long pendant la tonte. Ne pas utiliser le
matériel lorsque l’on est pieds nus ou en sandales
6) ATTENTION : DANGER! L’essence est hautement
inflammable.
- ne pas démarrer le moteur si de l’essence a été
répandue. Éloigner la tondeuse de la zone où
le carburant a été renversé et ne provoquer
aucune inflammation tant que le carburant ne
s’est pas évaporé et que les vapeurs ne se sont
pas dissipées.
- ajouter de l’essence avant de démarrer le moteur
et ne jamais enlever le bouchon du réservoir de
carburant ou faire le plein lorsque le moteur est en
fonctionnement ou tant qu’il est encore chaud.
- faire le plein à l’aide d’un entonnoir, à l’extérieur
uniquement et ne pas fumer pendant cette
opération ou pendant toute manipulation de
carburant.
- remettre correctement le réservoir et le récipient
en serrant convenablement les bouchons;
- conserver le carburant dans des récipients spé-
cialement prévus à cet effet.
Ne jamais fumer ni utiliser de flammes nues dans la
zone où le carburant a été renversé.
C) UTILISATION
1) Tondre uniquement à la lumière du jour ou dans
une lumière artificielle.
2) Dans la mesure du possible, éviter de tondre de
l’herbe mouillée ou sous la pluie.
3) Ne pas faire fonctionner le moteur dans un endroit
confiné où les gaz nocifs contenant du monoxyde
de carbone peuvent s’accumuler.
4) Ne jamais utiliser la tondeuse si ses protecteurs
sont endommagés, ou en l’absence de dispositifs
de sécurité comme le déflecteur ou le bac de ré-
cupération.
5) Pour les modèles autopropulsés, désengager l’embra-
yage d’avancement avant de démarrer le moteur.
6) Ne pas incliner la tondeuse pour le démarrage.
Effectuer la mise en marche sur une surface plane,
exempte de tout obstacle et d’herbe haute.
7) Démarrer le moteur avec précautions, en respectant
les consignes d’utilisation et en tenant les pieds
éloignés de la lame.
8) Assurer ses pas dans les pentes.
9) Tondre les pentes dans le sens transversal, jamais
en montant ou en descendant.
10) Ne pas tondre sur des pentes supérieures à 20°
11) Être particulièrement prudent lors des changements
de direction sur les terrains en pente.
12) Ne jamais soulever ou transporter une tondeuse
dont le moteur est en fonctionnement.
13) Arrêter la lame si la tondeuse doit être inclinée
pour le transport, et lors des déplacements entre
les surfaces à tondre.
14) Pendant le travail, conserver la distance de sécurité
par rapport à la lame, donnée par la longueur du
guidon.
15) Faire particulièrement attention lorsque la machine
doit être tirée vers soi.
16) Tenir les mains et les pieds éloignés des pièces
tournantes. Toujours se tenir à l’écart de la goulotte
d’éjection.
17) Marcher, ne pas courir. Ne pas se faire tirer par
la tondeuse.
18) Ne jamais modifier le réglage du régulateur du
moteur, ni mettre le moteur en surrégime.
19) Réduire les gaz avant d’arrêter le moteur. Fermer le
robinet d’arrivée d’essence après chaque utilisation,
suivant les indications du livret pour le moteur.
20) Arrêter le moteur dans les cas suivants :
- toutes les fois où la tondeuse doit être laissée
sans surveillance. Pour les modèles équipés
d’un démarrage électrique, retirer la clé de
contact.
- avant de régler la hauteur de coupe.

- lors de la pose et de la dépose du sac de ramas-
sage.
- avant de faire le plein de carburant.
21) Arrêter le moteur et débrancher le fil de bougie
dans les cas suivants :
- avant toute intervention sous le carter de coupe
ou dans le tunnel d’éjection.
- avant toute opération de nettoyage, de vérifica-
tion ou de réparation de la tondeuse.
- après avoir heurté un objet étranger. Inspecter la
tondeuse pour vérifier si elle est endommagée.
Effectuer les réparations nécessaires avant toute
nouvelle utilisation de la machine.
- si la tondeuse commence à vibrer de manière
anormale, rechercher immédiatement la cause
des vibrations et y remédier.
D) MAINTENANCE ET STOCKAGE
1) Ne jamais utiliser la machine avec des pièces ou
le câble endommagés ou usés pour des raisons de
sécurité. Utiliser des pièces d’origine. Des pièces
de qualité non équivalente peuvent endommager
la machine et nuire à votre sécurité.
2) Maintenir tous les écrous et toutes les vis serrés
afin d’assurer des conditions d’utilisation sûres. Un
entretien régulier est essentiel pour la sécurité et le
maintien du niveau de performance.
3) Vérifier fréquemment que le déflecteur et le sac de
ramassage ne présentent aucune trace d’usure ou
de détérioration.
4) Porter des gants épais pour le démontage et le
remontage de la lame de coupe.
5) Veiller au maintien de l’équilibrage de la lame lors
de son affûtage.
6) Si le réservoir de carburant doit être vidangé, ef-
fectuer cette opération à l’extérieur et lorsque le
moteur est froid.
7) Laisser le moteur refroidir avant de ranger la ma-
chine dans un local quelconque.
8) Ne jamais entreposer la tondeuse avec du carbu-
rant dans le réservoir dans un local où les vapeurs
d’essence pourraient atteindre une flamme, une
étincelle ou une forte source de chaleur.
9) Pour réduire les risques d’incendie, débar-
rasser la tondeuse, en particulier le moteur, le pot
d’échappement et le compartiment de batterie ,ainsi
que la zone de stockage de carburant, des feuilles,
des brins d’herbe et des excès de graisse. Ne pas
laisser de conteneurs de débris végétaux dans un
local.

EMPLACEMENT DES ÉTIQUETTES DE
SÉCURITÉ
Votre tondeuse doit être utilisée avec prudence. Dans ce
but, des étiquettes destinées à vous rappeler les principales
précautions d’utilisation ont été placées sur la machine
sous forme de pictogrammes. Leur signification est donnée
ci-dessous. Ces étiquettes sont considérées comme partie
intégrante de la tondeuse. Si une d’entre elles se détache
ou dévient difficile à lire, contactez votre concessionnaire
pour la remplacer.
Nous vous recommandons également de lire attentivement
les consignes de sécurité données expressément au chapitre
correspondant du présent manuel.
