1Introduction
This document will show how to configure a Grandstream HT503 device, which is
used to connect Xparc intercom to an analog landline (PSTN line).
2About this document
This document mainly directs to the technical staff who has to setup and configure
the device on site or on production floor. It does not contain any trouble shooting
and there is no guarantee, that the configuration shown is working in every country.
3Remarks
1. Everything explained in this document is based on a device which has default
configuration, which means only those items are mentioned that need to be
modified and are not the default setting.
2. As we could not test the settings for every country and condition, please keep
in mind that a test is mandatory before you offer this solution to a customer.

4How to connect to the device first time
4.1 Webinterface Login
The device is configured best by the build in webinterface and therefore needs to be
connected to your network first.
You can connect to the device using the default IP 192.168.2.1 check if this IP is
not already in use in your network.
The default password is: admin
Once logged in you are forwarded to the status page of the web interface.
In this page you have to check the firmware version as only version 1.0.8.4 is
tested and working.

5.2 FXO Port
The PXO Port configuration defines the way the internal SIP intercom call of the
Xparc devices are forwarded to the external PSTN line.
5.2.1 Configure PBX (Xparc Server)
First we setup the device to connect as a SIP client to the Xparc PBX.
To make configuration more compfortable, there is a fixed ID 1001 which has to be
used to connect a Grandstream device to the Xparc server.
Mandatory to use
1001
as ID as only this number will be used to forward a call!
It is not neccessarry to add an intercom device fort he Grandstream and you will not find the device in
the device list!

5.2.3 FXO Termination Settings
In this section you have to edit two values shown in the screenshot below.
5.2.4 Channel Dialing Configuration
In the Channel Dialing section we have to modify, if the device will wait for a dial
tone and if 1 or 2 stage dialing has to be used. This of course depends on the
telephone line or telephone system the port is connected to. The configuration you
find below is showing a typical configuration if the device is directly connected tot
he telephone line oft he provider. This usually does not require a pause before
dialing and 1 stage method can be applied which means that all digits required to
route the call is send in one go.
