NOTICE Using the mirror does not require electrical connection.
Operation
Switching on/off
• Connect the power cord (AF) to a power outlet and the other end to
the power socket (P).
NOTICE To prevent the bulb in the lamp (I) from burning, turn the
brightness adjustment wheel (Q) setting to the lowest before turning on
or off.
• Flip the power switch (R) to “I” to turn on the lamp (I).
• After use, flip the power switch (R) to “O” to turn off.
Calculating magnification power
Total magnification power is calculated by multiplying the magnification
power of the eyepiece and the objective lens.

• Remove the eyepiece covers (A) and place in eyepieces (Z/AA).
• Turn the coarse focus knob (L) to adjust the height of the stage (G) to
the lowest position.
• Rotate the nose piece (E) to the lowest magnification power setting.
NOTICE Start with the lowest magnification power every time a
new slide is placed on the stage (G). Most observations are made at low
magnification power.
• Clip a slide (not included) onto the stage (G), securing with the stage
clip (F).
• Without looking into the eyepiece (Z/AA), turn the coarse focus knob
(L) until the objective lens is close to the slide. The objective lens
should not touch the slide.
• Adjust the position of the slide using the X and Y translation controls
(N, O).
NOTICE If the lamp (I) is used, adjust the brightness of the lamp (I)
using the brightness adjustment wheel (Q).

NOTICE To use the color filter (AB), slide open the base of the
condenser (H) and place the color filter (AB) inside.
• Look into the left eyepiece (Z/AA), rotate the fine focus knob (M) and
the left diopter adjustment (B) slowly until the image is clear. Adjust
the position of the slide if needed.
CAUTION Risk of damage! Never force the adjustment knobs
(M), (L) and, (U) to turn further once the knob is already restrained from
turning. It may cause friction and scratch the lenses.
• The condenser (H) is adjusted to focus the light unto the specimen.
Tinker around with the condenser (H)’s vertical knob (U), diaphragm
(T), and the locking screw (AG) to achieve the sharpest image.
NOTICE The condenser diaphragm (T) gathers the available light
and concentrates it to illuminate over the specimen with uniform intensity.
• Look into the right eyepiece (Z/AA), rotate the right diopter
adjustment (B) until the image is clear.

• Look into both eyepieces (Z/AA), adjust the distance of the
interpupillary distance adjustment (C) until the two images merge
intoone.
NOTICE After focusing, there is an option to push up the locking set
(S) to keep the adjustment knobs (L, M) in place.
• Rotate the nose piece (E) to the next objective lens, increasing in
magnification power. Re-adjust the focus using the fine focus knob
(M) if needed.
• After using the microscope, remove the slide from the stage (G), take
off the eyepieces (Z/AA) and place the eyepiece covers (A) back on.
• Turn to minimum the adjustment wheel (Q).
• Switch off (R) and disconnect the power cord (AF) from the power
outlet.
• Clean the work area and dispose of the used specimens.
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION Risk of electric shock! To prevent electric shock,
unplug the product before cleaning.
CAUTION Risk of electric shock! During cleaning do not immerse
the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under
running water.
Cleaning
• To clean the lenses (V, W, X, Y, Z, AA), only use lens cleaning tissues.
Do not use cloth, paper or hands. Rotate the objective lenses (V, W,
X, Y) counter-clockwise to remove them from the nose piece (E).
• To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers,
metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Maintenance
• After each use, place the dust cover (AC) on the microscope. Place
the accessories back into their respective plastic bags to prevent
dust from collecting.
• Slight greasing or putting oil may be needed for the mechanical
moving parts. Apply the appropriate oil discreetly.
• Keep the product and its accessories within the required ambient
temperature and humidity to avoid mildewing.
