Electronic Control System
The freezer is provided with electronic control
system. The control system is positioned
behind the door. The appliance is factory set
to ensure operation in optimal temperature,
i.e. -18°C.
If the user intends to change the factory
settings, new settings will be stored in the
memory of the electronic controller. In case of
power failure, the controller remembers the
last settings, which will be recalled once the
appliance is switched on.
Functions of the electronic controller
l(1) – Freezer ON/OFF function, operation
signaled with a green control light
l(2) – Displays the set freezer temperature
l(3) – Temperature display, freezer alarm

Switching the appliance ON and OFF
To switch the freezer ON: push and hold pu-
shbutton (1). Switching ON is signaled with
a green light in pushbutton (1). Additionally
the current temperature is displayed on the
display (3) – freezer temperature.
To switch the freezer OFF: push and hold
pushbutton (1), ‘- - ‘symbols will be displayed
on the display.
Temperature control
Temperatures in the freezer compartment
can be set within a range from -25°C to
-16°C. The current temperature setting is di-
splayed by pressing and holding pushbutton

OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS
Super Freeze
The Super Freeze function is crucial to keep
the frozen foods fresh. The function is activa-
ted by pushing and holding pushbutton (4). A
blue light in the pushbutton indicates that the
function is on.
There is a choice between 24-hour and 48-
hour freezing process:
- Pushing and holding pushbutton (4) once
activates the Super Freeze function for 24
hours, there will be “24” number displayed on
the display (3).
- Pushing and holding pushbutton (4) twice
activates the Super Freeze function for 48
hours, there will be “48” number displayed on
the display (3).
- Pushing pushbutton (4) for the next time
switches off the Super Freeze function, the
control light in pushbutton (4) goes out.
If the Super Freeze function is not switched
off intentionally, it will be switched off auto-
matically after 24/48 hours. When the Super
Freeze function pushbutton is pressed, the
“24” or “48” symbols are displayed for 5
seconds. Then the display shows the current
temperature in the freezer compartment.
It is recommended to switch on the Super
Freeze function about two hours before lling
the freezer compartment with large quantities
of foods.
Slight temperature variations
Slight changes of temperatures are nor-
mal and may occur, for example, when the
appliance is loaded with fresh products or
when the door has been left open for a long
time. They have no effect on the stored food
and the temperature quickly returns to the
set level.
If the door is left open, after approx. 1 minute
there will be a “dr” code displayed on the
display and a short sound signal emitted.
Eco function
The Eco function is switched on and off with
pushbutton (5), a green light in pushbutton
(5) indicates that the function is on. The func-
tion ensures optimal consumption of energy
needed to cool down the refrigerator and fre-
ezer compartments. When the Eco function
is on the freezer temperature settings cannot
be changed.
The function is restored after power failure.
Alarms
Normal use of the freezer can result in
many different situations causing function
disruption and, consequently, disturbing the
stability of operation of the whole appliance.
Those conditions will be displayed on the
display using alarm codes.
If there are several alarm conditions oc-
curring at the same time, the codes will be
displayed one after another.
Alarm codes (symbols)
E2 – Failure of the freezer compartment

15
OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS
Observe the following recommen-
dations to ensure the food remains
fresh.
lPractically all the food products, except for
vegetables consumed raw, such as lettuce
can be frozen.
lOnly food products of the highest quality,
divided into small portions for single use,
should be frozen.
lProducts should be packed in materials that
are odourless, resistant to air and moisture
penetration, and not susceptible to fat.
Plastic bags, polyethylene and aluminium
sheets are the best wrapping materials.
lThe packaging should be tight and should
stick to the frozen products. Do not use
glass containers.
lKeep the fresh and warm foodstuff at am-
bient temperature away from the products,
which have already been frozen.
l We advise not to place more than 2 kg of
fresh food at a time to the freezer per day
(see table on page 20).
lIn order to maintain good quality of the
frozen food, reorganise the food that is in
the middle of the freezer, so that it does not
touch the products that are not frozen yet.
lIt is recommended to move the already
frozen products to one side and place the
fresh products that are to be frozen to the
opposite side, as close to the rear and side
walls as possible.
lIt is recommended to place the products
in freezer drawers up to natural loading
capacity (see gure15).
lStacking of products on the freezer shelves
is acceptable.
lIt is acceptable to place products beyond
the natural loading capacity by 20-30 mm.
Storage of food in the freezer
15
lBottom freezer drawer can be removed to
increase the loading capacity. Products can
be then stacked on the bottom of the freezer
chamber up to its maximum height.

16
OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS
The time of storage of the frozen products depends on their quality when fresh, before fre-
ezing and on the storage temperature.
The following storage periods are recommended when the temperature of -18°C or lower is
maintained:
Products Months
Beef 6-8
Veal 3-6
Giblets 1-2
Pork 3-6
Poultry 6-8
Eggs 3-6
Fish 3-6
Vegetables 10-12
Fruit 10-12
lBear in mind that the temperature in the
freezer is affected by several factors,
including the ambient temperature and
the quantities of food products in the
chamber, frequency of opening the door,
amount of frost in the freezer, and the
thermostat setting.
lIf you cannot open the freezer door imme-
diately after closing it, allow 1-2 minutes
for negative pressure to compensate,
and retry opening the door.
lTo free products, use space marked
(*/***).

17
Automatic freezer defrosting
lThe freezer compartment is equipped with
automatic defrosting system (No-Frost).
The food is frozen using cooled recirculated
air and moisture from the compartment is
carried away to the outside. Consequently,
there is no unnecessary icing or frost ac-
cumulating in the freezer and the individual
products do not freeze up.
Washing the freezer
lIt is recommended to wash the fridge and
freezer chambers at least once a year. This
prevents the formation of bacteria and foul
odours. Switch the appliance, using button
(1), remove the food from the chambers
and wash them using water with a mild
detergent. Then, wipe the chambers dry
with a cloth.
Taking out and putting in the shelves
Slide the shelf out, then slide it in as much as
possible so that its clamp could t the guide
groove (g. 16).
