6.2. Light sensor
Information panel is equipped with light sensor that is used for measuring of
ambient light. Thanks to this sensor, information panel can regulate brightness
to optimal value, according to ambient conditions. For panel correct operation
the sensor must be exposed to the ambient light, and must not be covered
anything.

7.1. Installation rules
The PE terminal of the power supply connector must be connected with a local
installation grounding terminal. Although power connector contains PE terminal,
for best connection we strongly recommend to use grounding screw near to X1.
Minimum cross-section of a supplying conductors must be at least 0.75 mm2.
All cabling must be carefully tied by cable ties to avoid the excessive connector
pulling or prying.
Communication line wires must be shielded. Shielding must be connected either
to metal connector caps or to PE terminal of panel computer.

9. Packaging
Display area including front panel is protected by plastic foil against scratches
and dirt. This foil is recommended to stay on the device during mounting to the
vehicle and must be removed before using the device.
The computer together with desiccant pack is sealed in the plastic bag filled
with inert gas to achieve the optimal protection. Sharp edges of cooler corners
and connectors are additionally covered by plastic foil. This foil must be
removed before turning the device on to enable proper cooling.
The computer is placed in the card-box and is protected by shock absorbers.
For card-box dimensions see technical parameters.

10. Storage
To prevent any damage to the device please keep the following rules.
The computer in the original box must be stored only under environmental
conditions defined in technical parameters. The device must be kept away from
water, oil or any other liquid which can damage the packing.
The box can be stored in any position. If the boxes are put on the top of each
other, then the weight applied to the box must not exceed 25 kg and the load
must be distributed to the whole top area of the box.
Already unpacked device can be stored only under environmental conditions
defined in technical parameters. The device must be kept away from water, oil
or any other liquid and kept in a clean area without excessive dust, sawdust etc.
The computer can be laid only on the surface which cannot damage the
computer’s parts or its surface finish (e.g. soft cloth, bubble foil, soft protective
rubber sheet etc.).
The computer’s connectors and the front view area must not lean against any
object.
Poor storage conditions can lead to warranty lost.

11. Maintenance
Maintenance mentioned below can be performed only by manufacturer or
authorized service.
11.1. Cleaning
According to cleanliness of the environment, where the computer is installed, it
is necessary to remove dust and dirt from the panel computer.
Cleaning intervals have to be planned by the vehicle designer.
According to the dust and dirt contamination level, there are cleaning ways as
follows:
Front panel and display screen area have to be cleaned with dry or wet cloth.
It’s necessary to use cleaning agents which cannot cause scratches on screen
area of front panel keyboard.
Front panel cleaning is typically done during periodical cleaning of the vehicle.
Dust settles on panel computers electronics and cooler, so thermal transmission
between computer parts and ambient air is worse. Because of that dust has to
be removed. Without disassembly, the removal can be done by vacuum
cleaner.
