Analog Alien BUCKET SEAT User manual

BUCKET
SEATBUCKLE UP!
Everything from mild overdrive to a
full-on, high gain assault is possible with
the Bucket Seat.
It's our goal at Analog Alien to make the
best sounding effects pedals on the planet.
We accomplish this in a straightforward
manner...we make pedals that we would
like to use ourselves, and we pay close
attention to every detail of their construction.
The Bucket Seat has the identical Rumble Drive circuit that is found in our 5-star “Rumble Seat”
pedal...which is highly praised by artists such as: James Burton (Elvis Presley), Stevie Wonder,
Joe Walsh (The Eagles, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Johnny Hiland,
and so many others.
BUCKET
SEAT
Turn the Gain knob all the way up (clockwise) and you'll get a very sweet overdrive with plenty
of harmonics! When the Gain control is turned off (counter-clockwise), the Bucket Seat produces very
little gain. At this setting, you can use the Bucket Seat as a master output and tone control. If you want
to introduce just a little drive, try increasing the Gain control up (clockwise) a little. This will give your
guitar's sound attitude and really make it jump out of your amp!
STANDARD SETTINGS FOR USE (SET TONE & OUTPUT TO TASTE):
ROCKABILLY/COUNTRY ROCK: GAIN set from far left, up to 9:00
HARD ROCK: GAIN between 10:00 and 11:00
MARSHALL SATURATION: GAIN between 2:00 up to full right
SETTING TIP!
Set the Gain control on the Bucket Seat between full left to 8:00. At this setting, the circuit will give your
Chicken Pickin’ licks some attitude.
3 CONTROLS WHICH SIMULATE A VINTAGE MARSHALL 69 PLEXI AMP
1. OUTPUT: The Output knob controls the
direct output level when the Rumble Drive is
engaged. The more you turn it up (clockwise),
the more output you send to your amp.
2. TONE: The Tone control is very versatile
and sensitive. You can dial in the right amount
of treble or bass depending on the guitar you
use and its pickups.
3. GAIN: The Gain knob controls the amount
of gain you send to the circuit.
The sound of the Bucket Seat is never harsh
or brittle. It has a smooth break-up and
retains a lot of the guitar's dynamics even
at high overdrive settings.
