Safety Instructions
• Position on a flat, stable surface.
• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out
installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any
components on this product.
• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the
following:
- Health and Safety at Work Legislation
- Fire Precautions
- IEE Wiring Regulations
- Building Regulations
• Ensure the water level is between the ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’ marks.
Over filling the kettle may result in boiling water being ejected.
• Always switch off the appliance before lifting, filling or pouring.
• Always use the handle when moving the appliance.
• The body of the appliance becomes hot during use.
• Avoid steam from the spout or when opening the lid.
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the
appliance when not in use.
• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an
Apuro agent or a recommended qualified technician in order
to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is not to be used by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall be supervised not to play with the appliance.

• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
• Caution: This kettle should be used with a residual current
device (safety switch) to lessen the risk of scalding or other
injury from hot water that may be ejected if the heating
element ruptures. Disregard this statement if your home is
fitted with a residual current device (safety switch).
• Caution: DO NOT operate the kettle on an inclined plane.
DO NOT operate the kettle unless the heating element is fully
immersed. DO NOT move while the kettle is switched on.
• The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after
use.
• Apuro recommend that this appliance should be periodically
tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing
should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection,
Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and
Functional Testing.

Apuro prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of unpacking the contents are
supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your Apuro dealer immediately.
Operation
Note: Before using the appliance for the first time fill and boil it twice. Discard
the water each time.
To use:
1. Lift the lid and fill with cold water. Do not exceed the ‘MAX’ level.
2. Close the lid securely.
3. Connect the power cord to the appliance then to the mains power supply.
4. Push the power switch down to the ‘ON’ position. The power indicator light turns On and the water
will begin to boil.
5. When the water has boiled the switch will flick back up to the ‘OFF’ position. The power indicator light
turns Off.
Note: The boiling process can be interrupted at any time manually by flicking up
the switch.
WARNING: There is a danger of scalding from steam. Take care during operation
and when opening the lid.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Always turn off and disconnect the appliance
from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the
appliance.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
• Periodically clean the inside of the appliance using a suitable
descaling solution.
De-scaling
For the best water quality, Apuro recommend that a water filter is installed to the mains water supply,
particularly in hard water areas. Doing so will reduce the build up of limescale and contaminants in the
water tank thus maintaining energy efficiency and prolonging the life of the appliance.
To de-scale the appliance:
1. Pour a solution of de-scaler and water into the appliance.
2. Brush the interior gently with a soft bristled brush.
3. Discard the solution collected in the kettle.
4. Fill the appliance with clean water and turn back On to flush out the system. Flush out the system
thoroughly to remove any de-scaler residue.
5. The appliance is now ready for use.
Note: Use a suitable de-scaler and always follow the instructions on the
packaging.
Apuro recommend that this appliance is de-scaled every 3 months or more
frequently in hard water areas.
IMPORTANT: Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.

A qualified technician must carry out repairs if required.

Electrical Wiring
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
