RAD Repeater Audio Delay
The Arcom RAD offers all-digital high performance operation. By using the RAD, you can eliminate squelch bursts when users unkey
their radios and completely mute all DTMF. The RAD can provide from 25 milliseconds to over 600 ms of audio delay, easily adjusted
by a potentiometer.
Hookup
Depending on which version of the RAD you purchased (1, 2 or all 3 Ports), there may be space for uninstalled parts on your pc board.
The 5 pin headers (JP1, JP2 and JP3) are used to make the connections to the RC210. The interconnections between the RC210 and
RAD are as follows:
RC210 RAD Port
JP10 JP1 1
JP11 JP2 2
JP12 JP3 3
When connecting the RAD to the RC210 Deluxe Repeater Controller, you simply connect the supplied cable between the appropriate
connectors on the RAD and the RC-210, depending on which port you wish to have audio delay. See the RC-210 Hardware Manual for
details about these connectors. Be certain the red wire lines up with Pin 1 of the respective connectors, as marked on the PC
board. Failure to observe this will result in damage to the RC210 and/or RAD

Adjustment
Adjusting the amount of delay couldn’t be simpler. Simply adjust the blue trimpot R51, R35 or R16 for the desired amount.
