1.0 GENERAL WARNINGS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Aremde advises that you read this manual carefully. The information in this manual offers important
advice for safe installation, operation and maintenance.
Store this manual on hand in a safe place for future reference by other equipment users/operators and/or
the technical service person.
The units are intended to be operated by personnel who have been trained in using commercial coffee
equipment.
Do not store any ammable liquids or allow ammable vapours to form within the operational area of this
machine.
Aremde requests that after removing the packaging, inspect that the machinery has arrived intact and
free from damage. If in doubt, please do not use. Contact a qualied technical person to check the
machine.
The elements of the packaging must be kept out of children’s reach as they can be a potential source of
danger.
Please consider the environment when disposing of the packaging material, and reuse or recycle the
materials wherever possible.

not in accordance with this documentation, or is not performed by trained and authorised personnel will
result in the immediate loss of the warranty.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible or liable for any unauthorised modications. All
modications must be approved by the manufacturer in writing before initiating, and are only to be
carried out by appropriately trained and authorised personnel.
Before installation of the machine, ensure that the compliance plate corresponds to the applicable

Warranty is void if not installed by a qualied technically trained person.
Damage can occur to the machine or bench if care is not taken at this point.
Heavy load, handle with care. Manual handling required - pallet truck, fork truck
or lifting apparatus recommended. Always wear suitable footwear and gloves.
3.1 Receiving Nexus/Stylus
Nexus/Stylus is shipped in a solid crate, containing 5 components and accessory kits. Please check all
components are not visibly damaged and in good condition prior to removing. In case of doubt please
contact your freight carrier and distributor/dealer immediately with notice of receipt.
Each component (CTU, UCU-H, UCU-E, UCU-T, UCU-P) will be unpacked and installed during the
installation process. UCU-E, UCU-H and UCU-T are all shipped as once piece on wheels. Before handling
the crate please note weight and size of crate will require a manual handling apparatus. Never tilt or roll
the crate as damage will occur to the equipment inside. Lifting should only occur on a solid at surface
with no obstructions. Prepare the work site and assess the task prior to starting the lift.

3.2 Unpacking Nexus/Stylus
1. Assess the working area and clear space of debris.
2. Prepare the correct tools. Electric drill with No.2 Phillips head driver or screw driver.
Note: The crate has been designed to open in a specic manner to allow ease of access.
3. The top, front and back of the crate should be removed rst using a screwdriver to remove screws.
4. Remove CTU by unscrewing the two inner locking panels and carefully removing. CTU can now slide
out on its plinth.
Take care when opening crate not to damage CTU. Under
NO
circumstances should a crowbar be used to open the crate.
NEVER place CTU upside down on hard surfaces without rst
providing clean padding.

Note: Take care to avoid scratching CTU paint surface once removed from crate. Should you
wish to place CTU on a hard surface during installation, microbre towels are provided in the
accessories kit accompanying Nexus/Stylus.
Remove all jewellry on hands and wear gloves, watch for belt buckles
and buttons when lifting CTU.

5.0 SETTING UP NEXUS/STYLUS
5.1 Recommendations And Precautions
Before proceeding, please take note of the surroundings. If required complete a Safe Work Method
Statement prior to commencing the task. When loading and unloading the palletised unit always use a
forklift operated by a licensed driver. Follow the correct safety practices when unpacking, commissioning
and operating this machinery. Gloves and safety footwear may be required.
Beware of sharp edges on equipment and packaging. All care has been taken to ensure sharp burrs and
edgings have been removed before being released from the factory. Sometimes these are not seen so can
still be present. All care should be taken to avoid sliding, pushing, hitting or grasping these surfaces. A
verbal warning should be given to all persons installing, operating or working on this equipment prior to
commencing.
Please ensure all power cables, electrical wiring and their housing are not damaged. If the power cable is
damaged it must be replaced before further use. If the under counter housing is not intact or has been
damaged, please isolate the machine prior to using, installing or operating as this may be a safety risk.
Aremde recommends our equipment be installed by a certied, licensed and qualied technical person.
Local installation and supply regulations vary from country to country. Please check with your local
authorities if in doubt.

5.0 SETTING UP NEXUS/STYLUS
5.3 Installation Notes
• Nexus/Stylus can be supplied as a single or multi-phase appliance. Please conrm your connections
before installing the unit.
• If it is necessary to use parts and materials (external to the machine) not supplied with the equipment,
it is important that the installing technical personnel check the suitability for use with human contact,
and is in line with the local regulatory body.
• This machine must be installed according to the local and federal codes and standard of practice,
including any regulatory mandated back ow prevention device if required. For this reason we
recommend the plumbing connections to be carried out by a qualied technical person.
• Aremde strongly recommends that water quality suitable to preserve the integrity and longevity of the
machine be used. Failure to do so will invalidate warranty on the equipment. Water quality must be of
a standard acceptable for human consumption. The installing technical person MUST ensure the water
complies with all mandated regulatory requirements.
