DESCRIPTION
The components and size of the air handling units TTP are fully customizable and can be adapted to the needs
of the building. All of these features, together with the Eurovent certification which has been granted to this unit
ascertain its high-quality level and energy efficiency. These units can be set In Line, Double Deck or Side-by-
Side.
UNIT IDENTIFICATION
The units are identified by their rating label, in which the serial number, as well as its main technical features are
stated.
UNIT SHIPMENT
The units are sent wrapped in plastic film and with wooden supports in each corner of the many sections that
belong to the unit.
When receiving the unit, please check if it has not been damaged during shipment and if it is complete. In case
you find any damage, you must register the issue in the shipment document.

INSTALLATION
Like any other equipment, the TTP air handling units must be correctly installed and subjected to preventive
maintained routines in order to ensure they are properly functioning from the moment they are first used and
throughout the equipment’s duration period. In order to achieve this, the recommendations bellow must be
followed if they are valid for the equipment in question:
Warnings
 Please read all information within this manual before you use the equipment.
 The power network to which this device will be connected, must comply with the current standards.
 The device must be connected correctly to an efficient electric circuit connected to the ground, as required by
current electric safety standards. In case of doubt, please ask qualified professionals to access the network.
 The device should only be installed and used according to the current norms and to the purpose for which it
was manufactured. It may be dangerous to install it and use it for a different purpose or with different parts.
 The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damages caused by faulty installation, use or maintenance
of the device and/or for repairs made by unqualified individuals.
 Never use this unit as a support for other equipment.
 Before you open the unit door, please make sure all electric parts have been disconnected. Take special care
to assure that the fan is turned off and cannot be inadvertently turned on.
 Be careful sharp edges that may be found inside the unit.
 Never climb nor walk on top of the unit.
 The installation of a cut-off switch is mandatory.
 Movable parts - Before you proceed with any intervention, please make sure the fan is completely still.
 The connection of the accessories presented as an attachment may already be finished, depending on the
options selected at the time the order of the equipment was placed.
 Electrical resistances must be connected to control devices that don’t allow them to work when the fan is still,
that prevent them from working when safety thermostats are activated and that allow a post-ventilation period
after they are turned off, in order to allow them to cool down.
 The heating batteries and steam humidifiers may cause burn injuries. Make sure they are still/turned off and
at a temperature that allows their handling.
 Heating and/or cooling batteries have a finned surface that may cause cuts. Take due caution when handling
these elements.
Starting the equipment
 Check if there are no foreign bodies inside the module.
 Check if the turbine is spinning freely, with no contact with the fan scroll or other elements.
 Check if the electric power features are right for the engine in question and make sure the equipment is
connected to an efficient ground connection.
 Provide electrical power to the engine according to the instructions given in this manual, in chapter "Electric
Diagrams - Fan”, and check if the turbine is spinning in the correct direction.
 With the access lids closed, check if the electric consumption of the engine is in accordance with the value
indicated in its data plate. Note: the electric current requirement must never be higher than the value indicated
in the motor’s data plate.
 Check if there are no vibrations or strange noises.
 The unit is provided with plastic film in the panels for protection purposes during the manufacturing, shipping
and installation processes. Once the installation is finished, the plastic film should be removed.
LIFTING AND POSITIONING
TTP air handling are meant to be lifted from their base. The base of the units has got holes for lifting purposes in
the corners of the base and throughout its perimeter. In order to lift the machine correctly, the holes along the
perimeter should be used. If there aren’t any, then the holes in the corners of the unit should be used. The weight

of each module and their centre of gravity should be considered during the lifting process. Lift the unit slightly in
order to check its position.
The unit should be placed on top of a plane, levelled surface that supports its weight. The location where the unit
will be placed should have enough space to allow the doors of its several sections to open correctly and allow
access to installation and maintenance procedures in the unit.
It is advisable to use anti-vibration mounts at the base of the unit.
JOINING THE SECTIONS
Units are often provided in several sections and the person responsible for the installation should join these
sections at the installation spot.
This operation should be conducted using the materials provided. These can be found inside the unit.
 Apply the adhesive gasket (tape) to the aluminium profile of the sections you wish to join.
 Press the parts at the joining of the sections that are in the interior corners of the sections.
 Press the parts that are along the interior of the sections (if there any) that need to be joined.
Note: in some cases, it may be necessary to remove some panels from the units, in order to access the joining
parts in the sections. To do this, take the lids off and unscrew the screws in order to easily remove the panel.
Because of their size, some energy recovering sections may be sent partially disassembled. In such cases, special
care should be taken to avoid damaging these delicate components.
Check if the gaskets and sealing silicones do not allow air to bypass these elements. In the case of heat
exchangers with integrated bypass damper, make sure that the register works correctly.

MAINTENANCE
Air treatment equipment requires periodic maintenance to properly perform the function for which they are
designed. The frequency with which the maintenance is performed depends on the environmental characteristics
in which the equipment is inserted and the number of hours of operation, so that the following indications is to be
considered as a guide.
Fan
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of the electric wiring.
 Check if the turbine rotates freely.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 General interior cleaning
Frequency of maintenance: Biannual.
Filters
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check if the filter cloth is not cut.
 Check the condition of filter fills (replace if necessary).
 General interior cleaning.
Frequency of maintenance: Monthly
Heat exchanger unit
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check the condition, fix, and clean of the heat exchanger.
 Check condensate sewage, clean and sanitize the condensate tray.
 General interior cleaning.
Frequency of maintenance: Biannual
Water and direct expansion coils
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check the connections to the coil
 Check and clean (if necessary, taking care not to damage) the fins of the batteries.
 If there are deformed fins, replace them in the correct position with a suitable "comb".
 General interior cleaning.
 Check, when applicable, the condensate sewage, clean and sanitize the condensate tray.
Frequency of maintenance: Quarterly

MAINTENANCE
Electric resistance battery
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check connection status, replacing cables and redoing connections if necessary.
 Check the safety thermostat.
 General interior cleaning.
Frequency of maintenance: Biannual
Evaporative humidifier
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check the conditions of the humidifier.
 Clean the water filter.
 Clean and sanitize the water tank tray.
 Check filter valve and water level.
 General interior cleaning.
Frequency of maintenance: Quarterly
Steam humidifier
Operations to be carried out:
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check the overall performance of the humidifier.
 Check the condition and performance of the humidifier cylinder by checking the condition of the electrodes or
resistances and check if there are no strange parts inside it (replace if necessary).
 Check and retighten all electrical connections.
 Check the conditions of the steam tubes.
 Check the performance of the water inlet and outlet valves.
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the condensate sewage, clean and sanitize the condensate tray.
 Check the steam lance.
Frequency of maintenance: Quarterly
Acoustic attenuators
Operations to be carried out:
 Check if there are no strange parts inside the module.
 Check the tightness of all the screws to avoid undesirable vibrations.
 Check the condition and setting of the acoustic baffles.
 General interior cleaning
Frequency of maintenance: Annual

Equipment’s warranty
The ARFIT warrants this product against all manufacturing defects for a period of 2 (TWO) years after the date of
purchase.
Technical assistance under warranty will only be provided upon presentation of the purchase document, which
proves that the equipment is within the warranty period.
If, during the warranty period, the product is experiencing problems resulting from manufacturing defects, ARFIT
or its Authorized Technical Services will, free of charge for repair at their premises or (at ARFIT’s discretion)
replace the product or place components to replace the defective parts in accordance with the following
conditions.
ARFIT reserves the right, by its own discretion, to replace defective product components or small value products,
either by new components or products, or by components or recycled products. The present warranty covers only
the equipment and no costs and losses that may be incurred as a result of equipment stoppage are considered
and are therefore expressly excluded.
Disclaimers of warranties
 Natural wear parts.
 Parts that are subject to deterioration or breakage, for example, belts, filters, fuses, etc.
 Malfunctions caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, negligence, lightnings, floods, humidity, falls, collisions,
accident and transportation.
 Malfunctions caused by the use of the equipment for not intended purposes.
 Malfunctions caused as a result of handling, modifying or repairing the equipment, by unauthorized persons
or technical services or by the application of improper parts or accessories.
 Malfunctions caused as a result of an improper or illegal installation (voltage, water pressure or others),
anomalies in the power, disrespect for the instructions.
 Wear or aesthetic deterioration, produced by use, changes in tone, oxidation or corrosion of the apparatus or
its components.
 Any eventual repair does not have the effect of prolonging the warranty, nor does it confer the right to any
compensation.
The warranty shall not be valid if:
 The equipment nameplate has been manipulated or tampered.
 False data has been provided.
 The equipment is not accompanied by the purchase document.
 The equipment has been handled, modified or repaired by unauthorized people or technical services.
 Verification/maintenance operations are not carried out or are carried out by unauthorized technicians.

Note:
Please note that air handling units are integrated into a general system. For this reason, failures may be caused
by other system components, improper interaction between the unit and the system, or environmental conditions
other than those specified for the unit project.

CONDENSATION TRAY
The condensation tray is intended to collect condensates that may arise in the sections where they are placed.
The condensates outlets of the various sections where these are present must be equipped with siphons (Image
1) suitable for:
 Ensure the correct drainage of the condensates
 Prevent air entrance, when the section from the unit is under negative pressure
 Prevent air leaks, when the section from the unit is under positive pressure.
 Prevent entry of odours and insects
Where P represents the maximum static pressure within the section in mm c. a.
The siphon must be allowed to be cleaned for regular maintenance.

make sure that they are correctly connected according to the following diagrams:
- Three-phase motors 400V (star connection – image 14) and 230V (delta connection – image 15)
- Three-phase motors 400/690V (Image 16):
Note: For AC fans of two or more speeds consult the manufacturer's manual.
