Intended Use
This device is intended for use as an architectural light spot. It is suitable for indoor installation in
commercial and residential buildings. This device is suitable for household illumination.
Any other use, not mentioned under intended use, is regarded as non-intended and incorrect use.
LEDs Lifespan
The light output of the LEDs gradually decreases over time (lumen depreciation). High operating
temperatures contribute to this process. You can extend the lifespan of the LEDs by providing adequate
ventilation and operating the LEDs at the lowest possible brightness.

the warranty void. Such modifications may result in injuries and material damage.

Do not expose the device to conditions that exceed the rated IP class conditions.
This device is IP20 rated. IP (Ingress Protection) 20 class provides protection against solid objects greater
than 12 mm, such as fingers, and no protection against harmful ingress of water.
Requirements for the User
This product may be used by ordinary persons. Maintenance may be carried by ordinary persons.
Installation and service shall be carried out only by instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite
dealer for more information.
Instructed persons have been instructed and trained by a skilled person, or are supervised by a skilled
person, for specific tasks and work activities associated with the installation, service and maintenance of
this product, so that they can identify risks and take precautions to avoid them.
Skilled persons have training or experience, which enables them to recognize risks and to avoid hazards
associated with the installation, service and maintenance of this product.
Ordinary persons are all persons other than instructed persons and skilled persons. Ordinary persons
include not only users of the product but also any other persons that may have access to the device or
who may be in the vicinity of the device.

3. Description of the Device
The Artecta Newark 30W CCT Zoom 20°-60° is a compact LED spot suitable for indoor installation in shops,
exhibition halls, showrooms and similar venues. It features 3 selectable predefined color temperatures:
warm white (2700 K), neutral white (4000 K), and cold white (6000 K). The LED spot can be dimmed with
an external dimmer and the beam angle can be adjusted in the range 20° –60°.
The device is equipped with a 3-phase track adapter. The 3-phase track adapter is compatible with the
Artecta 3-phase track systems and with the most 3-phase tracks available on the market.

4. Installation and Deinstallation
Safety Instructions
WARNING
Incorrect installation and deinstallation can cause serious injuries and damage of
property.
Installation and deinstallation of the device must be carried out only by instructed or skilled persons.
Follow all applicable European, national and local safety regulations concerning electrical installations in
buildings and working at heights.
Before installing or deinstalling the device make sure that the track system is disconnected from power
supply.
Personal Protective Equipment
During installation and deinstallation wear personal protective equipment in compliance with the
national and site-specific regulations.
Installation Site Requirements
●The device can be used only indoors.
●The device can be mounted only to a 3-phase track system.
●The minimum distance to other objects must be bigger than 0,5 m.
●The maximum ambient temperature ta= 40 °C must never be exceeded.
●The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 40 °C
Mounting
The device can be mounted only to a 3-phase track system.
CAUTION
Restrict the access under the work area during mounting.
To mount the device, follow the steps below:
01) Disconnect the track system from the power supply.
02) Make sure that the circuit selector (03) is in OFF position (0) and the track lock (02) is in unlocked
position, as shown in Fig. 04.
03) Align the flange of the track adapter (01) with the track, as shown in Fig. 05.

04) Insert the track adapter (01) in the track and push it until it snaps into place.
05) Turn the track lock (02) clockwise to lock the device in the track, as shown in Fig. 07.

06) Select the circuit with the circuit selector (03). You can select 1-, 2- and 3-phase circuit, as shown in
Fig. 08.
Attention
Do not slide the track adapter in the track to adjust the position of the device (see Fig. 09). This can
damage the connectors. Remove the device from the track and install it at the new place. For more
information on how to remove the device from the track, refer to 4.5. Dismounting on page 11.

Dismounting
CAUTION
Restrict the access under the work area during dismounting.
To dismount the device, follow the steps below:
01) Disconnect the track system from the power
supply.
02) Let the device cool down before dismounting.
03) Set the circuit selector (03) in OFF position (0),
as shown in Fig. 10.

04) Turn the track lock (02) counterclockwise to unlock the device (see Fig. 11).
05) Pull the track adapter (01) from the track (see Fig. 12).

Direction Adjustment
To adjust the angle of the device and the direction of the beam:
●Move the track head (06) around the pivot connector (04) to adjust the vertical position of the track
head (06). The adjustment range is 0–90°.
●Turn the track head (06) around the pivot connector (04) to adjust the horizontal position of the track
head (06). The adjustment range is 0–350°.

Connecting to Power Supply
This device is suitable for mounting only to a 3-phase track system. The device is connected to power
supply when it is mounted to the track system.
Before installing or deinstalling the device make sure that the track system is disconnected from power
supply.
Color Temperature Adjustment
You can adjust the color temperature of the LEDs.
Set the color temperature selector (05)to one of the following positions:
●CW (cold white) position –for a predefined color temperature of 6000 K
●NW (neutral white) position –for a predefined color temperature of 4000 K
●WW (warm white) position –for a predefined color temperature of 2700 K
Beam Angle Adjustment
You can adjust the beam angle of the light output.
Turn the zoom ring (07)clockwise or counterclockwise to
adjust the beam angle of the light output (see Fig. 14).
The adjustment range is 20° –60°, at steps of 1°.

5. Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting guide contains solutions to problems which can be carried out by an ordinary
person. The device does not contain user-serviceable parts.
Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such modifications may result in
injuries and material damage.
Refer servicing to instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite International dealer in case the
solution is not described in the table.

6. Maintenance
Preventive Maintenance
Attention
Before use, examine the device visually for any defects.
Basic Cleaning Instructions
To clean the device, follow the steps below:
Disconnect the device from the electrical power supply.
Allow the device to cool down for at least 15 minutes.
03) Remove the dust collected on the external surface with dry compressed air and a soft brush.
Attention
●Do not immerse the device in liquid.
●Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Corrective Maintenance
The light source is not replaceable.
The device does not contain user-serviceable parts. Do not open the device and do not modify the
device.
Refer repairs and servicing to instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite International dealer for
more information.

7. Transportation and Storage
Instructions for Transportation
●Use the original packaging to transport the device, if possible.
●Always observe the handling instructions printed on the outer carton box, for example: “Handle with
care”, “This side up”, “Fragile”.
Storage
●Clean the device before storing. Follow the cleaning instructions in chapter 6.1.1. Basic Cleaning
Instructions on page 13.
●Store the device in the original packaging, if possible.
8. Disposal
Correct disposal of this product
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
This symbol on the product, its packaging or documents indicates that the product
shall not be treated as household waste. Dispose of this product by handing it to the
respective collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is
to avoid environmental damage or personal injury due to uncontrolled waste
disposal. For more detailed information about recycling of this product contact the
