Water and Moisture–Do not use powerline

cart,stand,tripod,bracket,ortable.Theset may
fall,causingseriousinjurytoachildor an adult,
andseriousdamagetotheset.Useonly a cart
stand,tripod,bracket,ortablerecommendedby
themanufacturer.
Ventilation–Theslotsandopenings in the cabinet
areprovidedfornecessaryventilation.Toensure
reliableoperationoftheset,andtoprotect it from
overheating,theseslotsandopeningsmustnever
beblockedorcovered.
–Nevercovertheslotsandopeningswith a cloth
orothermaterials.
–Neverblocktheslotsandopeningsby placing
thesetonabed,sofa,rugor other similar surface.
Portable Cart Warning–An appliance and cart
combinationshouldbemovedwithcare.Quick
stops,excessiveforce,andunevensurfacesmay
causetheapplianceandcartcombinationto
overturn.

Power-Cord Protection–Route the power cord in
ordernottobewalkedonorpinched by items
placeduponoragainstthem,payingparticular
attentiontotheplugs,receptacles,andthepoint
wherethecordexitsfromtheappliance.
–Donotplacethesetoveraradiator or heat
register,orwhereitisexposedtodirect sunlight.
Inthenormaltemperature,ifyoupoura cold liquid
intoaglass,watervaporintheair will condense
onthesurfaceoftheglass.Thisis moisture
condensation.Themoisturecondensationmay
occurinsideofVCPs,ifusedinthis condition, it will
causedamagetotheheadandthetape.
IncaseofmovingtheVCPfroma cold place to
heatedplace,

Damage Requiring Service–Unplug the set
fromthewalloutletandreferservicingto qualified
servicepersonnelunderthefollowingconditions:
–Whenthepowercordorplugisdamaged or
frayed.
–Ifliquidhasbeenspilledorobjectshave fallen
intotheset.
–Ifthesethasbeenexposedtorain or water.
–Ifthesethasbeensubjectedtoexcessive shock
bybeingdropped,orthecabinethasbeen
damaged.
–Ifthesetdoesnotoperatenormallywhen
followingtheoperatinginstructions,adjustonly
thosecontrolsthatarespecifiedintheoperating
instructions.Improperadjustmentofothercontrols
mayresultindamageandwilloftenrequire
extensiveworkbyaqualifiedtechniciantorestore
thesettonormaloperation.
–Whenthesetexhibitsadistinctchangein
performance,thisindicatesaneedforservice.
Servicing–Donotattempttoservice the set
yourselfasopeningorremovingcoversmayexpose
youtodangerousvoltageorotherhazards.

VIDEO HEAD CLOGGING
ThevideoheadsarethemeansbywhichtheVCPreadspicturesfromthetapeduringplayback.
Intheunlikelyeventthattheybecomedirtyenoughtobeclogged,nopicturewillbeplayback.Thiscaneasilybedeterminedif,
duringplaybackofaknowngoodtape,thereisgoodsound,butthepictureisextremelysnowy.Ifthisisthecase,havethevideo
cassetteplayercheckedbyqualifiedservicepersonnel.
VIDEO HEAD CLEANING
DuringnormaloperationoftheVCP,thevideoandaudioheadscangetdirtyoveraperiodoftime,especiallywhenusinganoldor
poorqualitytape.Whentheheadsaredirtythepicturecangetsnowyandthetrackingcontrolwillnotadjustthesnowoutofthe
picture.Ifthisconditionoccurs,headcleaningcartridgesmaytakecareofthisproblemandrestorenormalpicture.Werecommend
thatheadcleaningcartridgesbeusedsparinglyduetothefactthattheycanbeveryabrasivetothevideoheads.Iftheproblemis
notresolvedwiththeheadcleaningcartridgethentheunitneedstobecheckedbyaqualifiedservicepersonnel.
NOTE: Videoheadsmayeventuallywearoutandshouldbereplacedwhentheyfailtoreproduceclearpictures.Tohelp
preventvideohead clogging,useonlygoodqualityVHStapes.Discardwornouttapes.

secondpresswillejectthetape.Thecassette-inindicator

´Pullthecassetteoutgently.
