Overview:
The Texas Dir pedal is designed o "clean-up" a lower se ings, giving he gui aris he abili y o dial in he
precise degree of "break-up" desired. The perfec addi ion o a “ weed“ combo rig. All you players who love
fiddling wi h he gui ar’s volume knob … your pedal has arrived!

User Interface:
Drive Knob – This knob works in conjunc ion wi h your gui ar’s volume knob o precisely con rol he “break-
up” hreshold. Tones range from jus a hin of break-up o full on dis or ion.
EQ Knob – Equaliza ion con rol. The cen er posi ion resul s in a fla response. Higher se ings provide a
midrange lif while lower se ings provide a midrange cu .
Output Knob - Con rols he ou pu signal level.
Footswitch – Swi ches be ween ac ive and bypass modes.
Output Jack - Ou pu signal; connec o amplifier or o her inpu .
Input Jack - Inpu signal; connec o gui ar or o her ou pu .

Power Jack - AC adap or power connec ion, loca ed on he side nex o he Ou pu jack. See AC Power
sec ion for de ails.
Connections:
• Connec he gui ar and any op ional effec s o he Inpu Jack, as shown in he above diagram.
• Connec he Ou pu Jack o any op ional effec s and he amplifier, as shown.
To avoid transients that can damage your speakers, always make the Amplifier input the last connection and
the first disconnection. To prevent unwanted distortion, be careful to keep signal levels at all inputs within
their proper operating range. Be careful not to connect inputs to inputs or outputs to outputs, as damage may
result. Connect only outputs to inputs (i.e., Texas irt output to amplifier input).
AC Power – The AC adap or jack conforms o he de fac o indus ry s andard 9 vol , nega ive cen er pin
configura ion.
Asonixcorporation™ recommends using a quali y AC adap or, designed specifically o power
one of more effec s pedals. When powering effec s pedals, i is impor an o use an AC adap or ha provides
a regula ed ou pu vol age. Unregulated supplies can inject 60Hz hum into your system and should be
avoided. For your safe y, only use your AC adap or in accordance wi h he manufac urer’s produc li era ure,
and heed any a ached warning and informa ion labels.
Battery Power - Ba ery power is applied when a 1/4” plug is inser ed in o he Inpu Jack. To conserve
ba ery power when no in use, be sure o completely remove he 1/4” plug.
Battery Installation - A weak ba ery will degrade he performance of he uni and may resul in unwan ed
dis or ion. Use he following ba ery ins alla ion procedure:
• Remove all ex ernal connec ions from he uni (i.e., 1/4” plugs, AC Adap or).
• Loosen he (4) screws o remove he bo om cover and access he ba ery.
• Ins all a new, 9-vol alkaline ba ery. Tuck wires o preven pinching.
• Replace he (4) screws. Be careful no o over igh en he screws!
