2.4 Choose Input Wire andConnectors
AT Audio recommendsusing pre-built orprofessionally
wired, balanced line(two-conductor plus shield), 22-24
gauge cables andconnectors. Depending uponwhich am-
plifier input youchoose, you shoulduse either 3-pinmale
XLR connectors, TRSphone connectors, orterminal forks
at the amplifierinputs.
Unbalanced line mayalso be usedbut may resultin noise
over long cableruns.
Note: Amplifier inputconnectors not usedfor audio signal
input may beused for daisy-chainingof the audiosignal
to other components.

2.7 Connectto AC Mains
2 Setup
Connect your amplifierto the ACmains power source(po-
wer outlet) withthe supplied ACpower cordset. First,co-
nnect the IECend of thecordset to theIEC connector on
the amplifier; then, plug the otherend of thecordset to
the AC mains.
WARNING: The thirdprong of this connector(grou-
nd) is animportant safety feature.Do not attempt
to disable thisground connection byusing an ad-
apter or othermethods.
Amplifiers don t create energy. The ACmains voltage and
current must besufficient to deliverthe power youexpect.
You must operate your amplifierfrom an ACmains power
source with notmore than a10% variation aboveor a 15%
variation below theamplifier s specified linevoltage
and within thespecfied frequency requirements(indicated
on the amplifier s back panellabel). If youare unsure of
the output voltageof your ACmains, please consultyour
electrician.
2.8 Startup Procedure
Use the followingprocedure when firstturning on your
amplifier:
1. Turndown the levelof your audiosource.
2. Turndown the levelcontrols of theamplifier.
3. Turnon the Power switch. The Powerindicator
should glow.
4. Turnup the levelof your audiosource to anoptimum
level.
5. Turnup the Levelcontrols on theamplifier until the
desired loudness orpower level is achieved.
6. Turndown the levelof your audiosource to itsnormal
range.
If you everneed to makeany wiring orinstallation changes,
do not forget todisconnect the powercord.

3.1 Precautions
Your amplifier isprotected from internaland external
faults, but youshould still takethe following precautions
for optimum performanceand safety:
1. Before use, your amplifier firstmust be configuredfor
proper operation, includinginput and outputwiring
hookup. Improper wiringcan result inserious operat-
ing difficulties.
2. Use carewhen making connections, selecting signal
sources and controllingthe output level. The load you
save may beyour own!
3. Do notshort the groundlead of anoutput cable tothe
input signal ground. This may forma ground loopand
cause oscillations.
4. WARNING:Never connect the output
to a power supply, batteryor power
main. Electrical shock may result.
5. Tamperingwith the circuitry, or makingunauthorized
circuit changes maybe hazardous andinvalidates all
agency listings.
6. Do notoperate the amplifierwith the redClip LEDs
constantly flashing.
7. Do notoverdrive the mixer, which willcause clipped
signal to besent to theamplifier.Such signals willbe
reproduced with extremeaccuracy,and loudspeaker
damage may result.
8. Do notoperate the amplifierwith less thanthe rated
load impedance. Dueto the amplifiers output prot-
ection, such aconfiguration may resultin premature
clipping and speakerdamage. Remember: AT is not
liable for damagethat results fromoverdriving other
system components.
Remember: ATAudio is notliable for da-
mage that results from overdriving other sy-
stem components.
