SUMMARY
PURE WATER is tasty water not containing organic or inorganic compounds in health-hazardous or
unwanted concentrations set by public health regulations.
REVERSE OSMOSIS is a water-treatment process based on its passing under pressure through a semi-
permeable membrane. This principle is taken as a basis for Atoll reverse-osmosis filters, and it does not
need reagents for water treatment.
MEMBRANE is a semi-permeable material capable to conduct only water molecules and oxygen.
PRELIMINARY FILTERS are used to purify water from insoluble solids, chlorine, organic
compounds before water reaches a membrane and facilitate membrane operation life.

SAFETY RULES
Atoll reverse-osmotic filter completely corresponds to all safety provisions as confirmed by Russian
conformity certificate. Nevertheless, all users have to know its operating mode and safe operation
features. To avoid problems and mistakes, we kindly ask you to get acquainted with this chapter and
strictly follow installation and maintenance instructions.
Important! Water pressure at the filter inlet has not to exceed 8.4 bar. If water pressure may exceed
8.4 bar in the inlet pipe, it is recommended to install Honeywell D04 or D06 pressure-reducing
valve upstream the first preliminary filter in order to prevent leaks.
• Filter is intended to treat water in amount necessary for cooking, drinking and other domestic
needs.
• Check water being treated for its compliance with “Requirements to water supplied into the
filter”.
• If the filter is brand-new, do not use treated water for drinking purpose until completion of its
setting and flushing.
• Filter setting and flashing is carried out in the following cases:
- During the first connection;
- While filter re-installation in other place with different quality of initial water;
- After replacing a membrane or replaceable elements.
• If the quality of water being treated is unknown, it is desirable to analyze treated water after the
filter starts operation. Later on, it is recommended to check water quality at least annually or if its
taste is changed, in order to confirm the correct filter operation. If the test results are not
satisfactory, you have to contact a service entity.
• In case of leaks or other failures, it is necessary to stop water supply into the filter and contact a
technician to restore the normal filter operation.
Important! If the room temperature, where the filter is installed, may drop below 0°С, it is
necessary to protect the filter from the low temperature effect. In case of failure to comply this
provision, the warranty is null and void.
• It is prohibited to modify the system or make any design changes. This may result in injury and / or
property damage. In this case, the warranty is also null and void.
• All necessary works with water supply lines should be performed by a qualified staff. If you
connect the filter by yourself, you have to get acquaint the valid rules and follow them.
• If the filter will be not used more than 1 month, it is necessary:
- To shut it off water supply;

7
- To empty the storage reservoir;
- To pour protective composition in the membrane (preservative agent).
• Do not store replaceable elements near odorous or toxic compounds. Prevent them from dust.
• If you do not use the filter more than two weeks, open the pure water faucet and allow water
completely to pour from the storage reservoir. Close the pure water faucet and let the storage
reservoir to fill. You may use water after the third filling of the storage reservoir.
• Do not store treated water in aluminium or copper vessels due to its possible corrosion that would
increase concentration of metal ions in purified water.
• Do not put any item on the filter top.
Check the system for leaks at regular intervals.
To limit the damage caused by water leaks, it is recommended to install atoll Leak Stop® preventive
valve at the tube used to supply water to the filter.
Service life of Atoll reverse-osmotic filter is 5 years.
Although Atoll reverse-osmotic filter intercepts all bacteria and viruses contained in water, it
is recommended to use the filter only for water, which is safe in microbiological sense. Use the
filter to clean water previously disinfected by chlorination of UV-lamp treated. Otherwise,
operating life of preliminary filters may be less than the rated one (ref. page 14).
ATTENTION!
To avoid bacteria entering the filter during its installation, we recommend to thoroughly wash
hands with soap or to use new clean rubber gloves before connecting all tubes and before
installation of the water supply valve and the storage reservoir valve.

While installing the filter beyond the public potable water supply systems, it is recommended to
analyze water being treated. If the water parameters defined by the test will be worse than the above
ones, it is desirable to install additional water-treatment system. Consult your dealer or service
center concerning its structure.
I. CONNECTING TUBES USING QUICK-RELEASE CONNECTORS
ATTENTION! Before cutting tubes, ensure that you have correctly measure their length. You don’t
need tools to cut three colored tubes. They should be cut evenly to avid leaks in their connections.
IT IS VERY EASY TO MAKE CONNECTION!
1. Cut a tube at a straight angle.
2. Insert it into a connector up to the stop. To seal the connection, apply additional stress. In this
case the tube will pull into the connector yet approx. 3 mm; and it will be securely tightened by the
connector rubber ring.
THE PIPE IS FASTENED.

9
Pull tubes to check the connection.
Fig. 3
To prevent accidental disconnection, fasten the ring by a clamp (Fig. 3).
DISCONNECTION IS JUST AS SIMPLE
1. Ensure no pressure in the tube.
2. Remove a clamp preventing an accidental disconnection.
3. Press the ring near its basis.
4. Pull the tube out while keeping the ring pressed (Fig. 4).
Fig. 4
We would like to pay your attention to the need to check the connection tightness before
installation of filters. During this test, it is necessary to pull he tubes, which come out of the
connector, by abrupt motion. In this way, you will check connections and ensure the tube
cutting by metal grips of the connector.
Tubes should be cut evenly, at a straight angle.

II. BORE DRILLING FOR THE PURE WATER FAUCET AND ITS CONNECTING TO
THE FILTER
ATTENTION: despite the fact that the drilling of a bore in a sink is not very complex,
however, it requires appropriate skills, attention and care. Wear protective goggles and gloves.
If necessary, consult a specialist.
To install the pure water faucet, a flat surface with sufficient rigidity is necessary to securely fasten
the faucet in an upright position. While deciding where to drill a bore dia. 13 mm, you have to guide
by aesthetic considerations, and make sure that:
- The dark-blue tube will have enough length to connect the pure water faucet to the filtration unit:
- Nothing will hinder the tube connection to the pure water faucet from underside of a table board or
sink.
Fig. 5
Fig. 6
The pure water faucet is installed according to Fig. 5. We recommend not to tight the nut (ref. Fig.
5) until completion of the installation process and checkup of the system operation in order to check
the water leak absence in the connection between the faucet body and a threaded pipe.
The pure water faucet may be completed with a
set of accessories for faucet connection; or the
faucet may be equipped with a quick-release
connector. Fig. 6а, b, c illustrates the ways to
connect the dark-blue tube to the pure water
faucet. Connect the dark-blue tube to the
filtration unit (ref. Table on page 12).
Fig. 7
If there is no place to install the faucet, it may be mounted on the table located near the sink (Fig. 7).

11
III. CONNECTION TO COLD WATER LINE
ATTENTION: ensure that the filter is connected to a cold water line (t
max
is 38
о
C).
Connection to a hot water line will damage the filter.
1. Close the valve that shuts cold water off. Open the cold
water tap on a basin mixer to depressurize the line. If water
still flows from the tap even after valve closing, you have to
close the main valve in the house or apartment.
2. The system is connected to the water supply line via the
water supply unit.
The filter set may include the combined water supply unit –
T-tap. In this case ref. clause 2.4.
2.1. Assemble the water supply unit by connecting the ball
valve with the T-piece as shown in Fig. 8. Using PFTE tape,
screw the T-piece in the tap. Be especially careful while
connecting the tap - excessive force will damage its thread.
Use only a small spanner or wrench. Do not use other
materials to seal connections.
2.2. Loosen the cap nut and disconnect the flexible line from
the basin mixer.
2.3. If necessary, replace the gasket of the cap nut.
2.4. Install the assembled unit in the flexible line from the
basin mixer, as shown in Fig. 9. Use a spanner or a wrench.
2.5. Connect the red tube to the filter (ref. Table on page 12)
and to the ball valve.
2.6. Close the tap at the inlet of the filtration unit and open the
ball valve. Check connections for leaks.

IV. INSTALLATION OF THE DRAIN CLAMP
Drain clamp is compatible with sink water traps DN 40.
It should be installed at the vertical part of a pipe upstream the
first bend (Fig. 10). Pipe section, in which enters the drain tube,
should be not filled with water.
1. Drill a bore dia. 6.5 mm in he place, where you are going to
install the drain clamp.
2. Glue a seal on the inner side of the clamp, which has a
threaded bore.
3. Locate two brackets of the drain clamp in such a way that the
hole in the clamp coincides with the bore drilled in the water
trap.
4. Tighten fastening bolts. They should be fastened evenly, and
two brackets of the drain clamp should be parallel to each other.
Connect the black tube to the drain clamp and the filtration unit.
The tube should enter the bore dia. 6.5 mm drilled in the pipe.

VI. FILTER FLUSH AND OPERATION START
1. Disconnect the tube from the inlet into the third preliminary filter (Atoll MK-5633C (1 µm)) and
put it into any vessel (bucket, sink, etc.).
2. To wash cartridges, open the inlet tap at the filtration unit for 2-3 minutes.
3. Close the tap, connect the tube back to the body of the third preliminary filter.
4. Open the pure water faucet. The tap on the pure water output from the filtration unit should be
opened.
5. Close the storage reservoir faucet (it is located within the filtration unit).
6. Open the water supply faucet.
7. Check the system for leaks.
8. Five minutes later, water starts to drip from the pure water faucet. Allow water to drip for 10
minutes; then close the pure water faucet, open the storage vessel faucet by turning it by 90 ° - the
vessel starts filling. It will take several hours depending on the input water pressure.
! DO NOT DRINK WATER OBTAINED DURING THE FIRST RESERVOIR FILLINGS !
9. Install the top and back covers of the filtration unit. Screw a self-tapping screw into the back wall.
10. When the reservoir is filled (you will hear that water does not flow into drainage), close the
water supply faucet, open the pure water faucet and allow water to flow completely out of the
reservoir.
11. Close the pure water faucet. Open the water supply faucet. Let the reservoir to be filled for the
second time. This process will take about 2 hours. Then drain water from the reservoir.
12. You may use pure water obtained during the third reservoir filling.
13. Important! Check the system for leaks every day during the first operating week.
14. When the system just starts operating, water may be slightly lacteous. Don’t worry – there are
small air bubbles, and they will disappear soon. There is a normal air substitution from the system.
15. Check for any leaks at the body bottom of the pure water faucet and tighten the faucet nut (Fig.
5).

14
VII. REPLACEMENT OF EXPENDABLE ELEMENTS
Please, pay your attention to the tightness of quick release connections while replacing expendable
elements. If a tube end have many burrs after several connections (for instance, to replace a
cartridge), it is necessary to cut it.
Before element replacement, close the tap at the filtration unit inlet, open covers of the filtration
unit, close the faucet on the container (inside the filtration unit) and depressurize the system by
opening the pure water faucet.
Expendable elements are equipped with quick-release connectors. During their replacement, pay
attention to the arrow on the element body indicating the direction of water flow.
Membrane is replaced in the same order as its initial installation.
Expendable elements as well as the filter itself (at the end of its service life) are to be disposed as
solid domestic wastes.
Recommended replacement intervals for expendable components*
Preliminary filters every 6 months
Membrane every 24-30 months
Carbon post-filter every 6 months
* - real replacement intervals may significantly differ from the recommended ones due to poor
quality of water supplied into a filter.
After element replacement, please, ensure that water supply is restored, the faucet of the storage
container is open, and water is fed into drainage.
Recommended expendable elements:
1 purification step: atoll: МК-5633С(5 µm), Omnipure: K5605JJ
2 purification step: atoll: CК-5633С, Omnipure: K5633JJ

Options
System modification to operate at low water inlet
pressure.
If water pressure at the filter inlet does not exceed 2.8
atm., it is recommended to install additional pump for
pressure increase (Fig. 13). The pump is installed
upstream the filter into the red tube. To provide normal
pump operation, it is necessary to fasten it to vertical or
horizontal surface using four self-tapping screws. The
pump should be mounted in combination with a high-
pressure transducer installed into the tube upstream the
storage reservoir. Transducer is necessary to ensure
pump operation only during reservoir filling. We also
recommend installation a low-pressure transducer into
the tube located upstream the pump to prevent it from
“dry running”.
Fig. 13
Elimination of microbiological pollution of intake
water.
Microorganisms cause fouling of preliminary filters,
pressure drop, and, finally, a filter stops its operation.
To prevent this situation, it is recommended to install
Viqua SC1/2 UV lamp upstream the filter (Fig. 14) in
combination with Atoll I-11S main preliminary filter.
Fig. 14

19
Protection of the storage reservoir against
microbial penetration.
If the filter is not used during the long period (2-
3 weeks), there is a probability on microbial
penetration into the storage reservoir via the pure
water faucet. Reservoir could be cleaned from
microorganisms only by its washing by
disinfectant solution with its dismantling. To
prevent reservoir pollution, it is necessary to
install Viqua SC1/2 UV lamp in the dark-blue
tube between the pure water faucet and the
storage reservoir (Fig. 15). The lamp is attached
to any surface using two clamps.
Fig. 15
Connection to an ice machine
An ice machine is connected to the filter via T-
piece (for example, JG PI0208), which is
installed in the dark-blue tube between the
filtration unit and faucet (Fig. 16). Tube length
should not exceed 5 meters from the filter to an
ice machine.
