IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the riskof fire, electric
shock, and / or injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Do not touch hot suaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord,
plug, or power base in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before puing on or taking o pas, and
before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or aer the appliance malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or
touch heated suaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or
in a heated oven.
10. Do not move an appliance containing hot liquids.
Allow to cool before moving.

12. This Sma Kele has been designed specifically for the
purpose of boiling drinking qualitywater only. Under no
circumstances should this product be used to boil any
other liquids or foodstus.

13. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
14. The use of accessory aachments are not
recommended by the manufacturer as it may
cause injuries.
15.Keep 6 inches clear from the wall and 6 inches
clear on all sides.
16. The Sma Kele must be used only with the power
base supplied.
17. Do not move the Sma Kele while it is switched on.
18.Do not open the lid during operation.
19. Do not oveill the Sma Kele past the maximum
water level mark. If the kele is oveilled, boiling
water may be ejected.
20.Use caution when pouring water from the Sma
Kele, as boiling water and steam will scald. Do not
pour water too quickly.

• Some counteop and table suaces are not
designed to withstand the prolonged heat generated
by ceain appliances. Do not set the heated unit on a
finished wood table. We recommend placing a hot
pad or trivet under your carafe to prevent possible
damage to the suace.
• During initial use of this appliance, some slight smoke
and/or odor may be detected. This is normal with
many heating appliances and will not recur aer a
few uses.

Cleaning your Sma Kele
before its first use
It is recommended that before first use to fill
Sma Kele with cold tap water at the maximum
level, and boil by selecting the power buon or
the boil buon on the atomi sma app, then
discard the water.
Sma Kele will only operate when positioned on
the power base. The kele will automatically
switch o when the water has reached the
selected temperature. The Sma Kele is not
dishwasher safe. Hand clean only.
We recommend the use of filtered water for the
best taste experience.

3. Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4GHz
Wi-Fi network (atomi Sma can’t connect to
5GHz networks)

number or email address.
Enter the verification
code and create
a password.
Log into
the app.

Add Device
Select “Add Device”
or click (+) at the top
right corner of the
devices screen.
Choose
“Sma Kele”
from the
device list.
Hold the power buon for 10 seconds until
the indicator lights blinks rapidly , then press
“Continue” on the atomi sma app.

Cleaning and maintaining
your Sma Kele
Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the Sma Coee maker and allow
to cool before cleaning.
• Clean the kele jug with a so cloth. Ensure the outside
of the kele is always dry before use.
• Do not get any water near the underside of the kele,
power base or anyelectrical components.
• Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other
abrasive materials.
Descaling
It is essential that regular descaling takes place.
Frequencywill depend on the usage of the kele
and the hardness of the water in your area.
1. Fill the kele with an equal pa solution of water and
white vinegar, let this soak for an hour.
2. Once the hour is up, just boil the kele. Then, empty the
kele and rinse it thoroughly.
Heating water manually
Press the power buon on the Sma Kele to sta
boiling. The indicator light will glow during the cycle and
will turn o when ready.
Scheduling
You can set up your Sma Kele to
sta boiling at specific times on
specific days of the week.

Daily Cleaning

Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password during
the Wi-Fi setup. Checkwhether there are problems with
your internet connection. If the Wi-Fi signal is too weak,
reset your Wi-Fi router and try again.
The Sma Kele will not turn on.
Sma Kele will only operate when positioned on the
power base. Make sure Sma Kele is properly positioned
on the power base. Make sure Sma Kele is plugged in
and turned on.
The Sma Kele will not heat to the selected temperature.
Check if there is a limescale build up inside the Sma Kele
as this may aect the kele’s peormance. We recommend
descaling the Sma Kele and to reset the kele to its
default seings.

I’m still having trouble!
Wi-Fi networks come in a lot of shapes and sizes with many
quirks of their own. It doesn’t mean your Sma Kele is
malfunctioning. If problems persist, please try these steps,
in order:
1. Force quit and re-launch the atomi sma app.
Checkto see if this fixes the issue.
2. Unplug Sma Kele and plug it back in.
Check to see if this fixes the issue.
3. Unplug your router and plug it back in.
Check to see if this fixes the issue.
4. Delete and reinstall the atomi app.
Check to see if this fixes the issue.
5. If all else fails, restore your Sma Kele to factory
seings: First, unplug your Sma Kele. Plug it back
in and hold the power buon for 10 seconds.
Setup is not working properly.
1. Close all apps that are running in the background then
re-open the atomi sma app.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the atomi sma app then repeat
the setup process.
Why does my Sma Kele smell like something is burning?
It is possible that a new Sma Kele will produce an odor
when first used. This is normal and should go away aer
the Sma Kele has been used for a while.
