Working theory
1.
Children from 0 to 1 4 years of age are not allowed to use the camera.
The camera is composed by detachable components that could be
ingested.

Thank you for purchasing the Auloma Attaphoto CURVA-45. Please read
this instruction manual carefully before operating
The pinhole camera Auloma Attaphoto CURVA-45 uses a standard 1 35-film
format and uses the principle of pinhole photography. The camera produces
images of dimensions 35 x 24 mm and has the capacity to take a number of
photographs equal to the capacity of the film (24 or 36 frames) loaded. You
can use films of any sensitivity, the opening times of the shutter depend on
the sensitivity of the film, in the package is provided a reference table with
the approximate opening times of the shutters using a film ISO / ASA 1 00 in
various light conditions, while to obtain more accurate shutter opening
values we recommend you visit our website www.auloma.com. The
rewinding system of the camera roll allows to easily rewind the film in its
container avoiding any accidental exposure to light.

Note

Do not disassemble the camera
•
The camera isn't waterproof. Do not immerse the camera in liquids or
under running water.

Do not use acids, corrosive substances, hydrocarbons or anything else
not indicated for cleaning surfaces.
Preparation be ore use
Release the four knobs 1 and remove the cover 2 , pull the rewind knob 3
until it clicks and insert the film cartridge into slot 4 . Re-insert the rewind
knob 3 so that the film cartridge is secured inside the camera. Pull the
disengagement machanism 5 to the mechanical lock, then pull the film just
enough to insert its holes in the cogs on the revolution counter 6 . Continue
to pull the film until insert its initial part into the slot of the takeup spool 7 , so
take care that a hole in the film is engaged in the hook present in the base of
take up spool. Turn the winding knob 8 slightly with one hand to make sure
that the takeup spool drags the film and then without letting go of the grip
with the other hand push in the disengagement mechanism 5 until it stops.
Reinsert the cover 2 closing the film compartment and secure it to the
camera by screwing the four knobs 1 . Turn the winding knob 8 to wind the
part of the film exposed during the loading operations, turn until will be
executed three revolutions of the index 6A placed on the revolution counter,
only now the camera will be able to take the first picture.
Take photographs
Mount the camera on the tripod using the threaded hole 9 or secure it on a
support surface, level 10 will help you to understand if the camera is level,
unscrew the security knob 11 , lift the shutter 12 to the stop and leave it in
place for the time necessary to impress the film and then lower it back to the
initial position. Turn winding knob 8 to wind the film and take the next photo,
the film will be in the correct position to take the next photo after the index
6A has taken a revolution. When the film is depleted, winding knob 8 will be
locked automatically. Before storing the camera, it is recommended to screw
the safety knob 11 back on.

The camera uses a neodymium magnet that can lose part of its
attraction force when heated to a temperature of >80°.

•The camera is a handcrafted product with surfaces finished by abrasive
discs. Possible scratches due to processing are a characteristic of our
product and can't to be considered defects or that the product has been
used.

Film cartridge storage
Pull the disengagement machanism 5 to unlock the winding knob 8 , turn the
rewind knob 3 to rewind the film, in this operation when the index 6A and
the winding knob 8 will stop rotating means that the film has been rewound.
To be sure, make further rotations of the rewind knob 3 to have the absolute
certainty that the film is completely retracted in its cartridge. Release the
four knobs 1 and remove the cover 2 , pull the rewind knob 3 until it clicks
and remove the roller from the camera.
Maintenance and cleaning
1.
Before inserting the film cartridge, after removing the cover 2 use a
pump with dust filter to clean the inside of the camera and the cover.
Before this operation, it is recommended to treat, the inside of the
camera and the side of the cover pointed to the camera inner, with anti-
static spray. Recommended antistatic spray: TETENAL manufactured
by Tetenal Europe GmbH.

Clean the outside of the camera with a soft, clean cloth, preferably a
dust-capturing cloth.
3.
Clean the eco-leather coating using a dampened microfiber cloth. For
persistent stains or dirt, use a specific eco-leather cleaner to apply to a
soft cloth and not directly to the camera.

Disposal o the camera
Under no circumstance should you dispose of the camera in
normal domestic waste. Dispose of the camera via an appro-
vated disposalcompany of your municiplal waste facility. Please
observe currently applicable regulations. Please contact your
waste disposal center if you need any further information. The

Storage
Store the camera in its closed protective bag to prevent dust contamination
in an environment with a temperature within the range indicated for storage.
The manufacturing material makes it resistant to humid environments,
however, it is recommended to store it in a dry environment to avoid possible
oxidation of metal components.
