Li-ion & Li-Poymer Batteries
Li-ion batteries contain large amount of energy and are manufactured with safety features incorporated.
Mishandling may cause the battery to leak, fire, or explode and result in personal injury and/or property
damage. Please strictly observe the following prohibitive measures.
Danger!
Failure to observe the following procedures may result in battery leakage, heat, bursting, and serious
personal injury.
1. Never dispose of batteries in fire.
2. Keep batteries away from combustible materials.
3. Do not incinerate or heat batteries.
4. Do not short circuit battery packs across its terminals. Avoid carrying packs in a pocket that may
contain loose change, paper clips, keys, and any other conductive materials.
5. Do not disassemble, alter, or reconstruct a Li-ion battery.
6. Do not solder directly on batteries.
7. Do not over-charge, charge with reversed polarity, or over-discharge the battery. Cell gas release
vent may be damaged and cause rupture.
8. Do not connect the battery reversed in (+) and (-) terminals in the charger or equipment.
9. Do not connect a Li-ion battery directly on a power source. High voltage may cause electrolyte
leakage, heat generation, bursting or fire.
10. Batteries contain strong colourless electrolyte which may cause permanent loss of eyesight and
injury when in direct contact with eyes or skin. Immediately flush with clean water when in contact
with leaked electrolyte and consult a physician.
Warning!
1. Do not immerse battery packs in water.
2. Do not store batteries in temperatures exceeding 60 ºC (140 ºF) and in direct sunlight.
3. Stop using the battery if it is leaking, deformed, damaged, or differ from its normal condition.
4. Li-ion batteries have a predetermined operating life even it is never been used. Batteries
remaining unused and uncharged for more than 12 months or having very short usage time should
be replaced. Do not attempt to continue charging or discharging such batteries.
5. Do not leave the battery in a charger or equipment if it generates an odor and/or heat, changes
color and/or shape, leaks electrolyte, or causes any other abnormality.
6. Remove the battery from the equipment during storage.
7. Use only approved charger to charge the battery and follow all of the safety guidelines supplied
with the charger and/or equipment.
8. Do not swallow batteries and keep away from small children.
