CAUTIONSANDWARNINGS
1Placement
Topreventfire or electric shock,donot expose this appliance to rain or
moisture.Donotplacethesetonanunstablecart, stand,tripod,bracket
ortableto preventit fromfalling.Keep theunit awayfromstrong magnets,
heat sources, direct sunlight, excessivedust. If the unitis brought di-
rectly fromacold toawarmlocation,moisture may condense inside the
unit. Whenyoumoveitfromacoldto awarmlocation,waitfor about one
hourbeforeoperatingtheunit,orremovethediscand leave the unitturned
on until the moisture evaporates.
2Installation
Ensure that the portable DVD playeris installed in accordance with the
instructions and illustrations providedin this manual.
3 Caution
Do not pushobjects of anykindinto theunit throughopenings; do not
spill or sprayliquid of anykindonor in thesystem(thismayresult ina
fireorelectricshock).Donotplace anythingheavyontheunit. Toen-
sure properventilation and proper operation, never cover or block open-
ings withacloth or other material. Keepthe unitawayfromanopen
flamesuchasfire,candleetc.Itishazardous toreplacethe battery
incorrectly.Replace the battery only withthe sameor equivalent type,in

4Disassemble
Do not attempt to disassemblethe cabinet. Thereis arisk ofelectric
shockand/or exposure toLaser Radiation. Contact qualifiedservice per-
sonnel ifyour systemneeds repair.
5Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning, makesure the systemisunplugged from thepower
source.Donotuse liquidcleaners or aerosolcleaners.Useaclothlightly
dampened with water for cleaning the exterior ofthe systemonly.
6Disc
Donotuseirregularly shapeddiscs such as heartorstar-shapeddiscs
astheymaycause the unitto malfunction.Donotstick paper,tape or
glueon thedisc.Do notexpose the disc to directsunlightorheat sources.
Do not touch the surface ofdisc. Handle the disc byits edge. Clean the
disc by wiping thedisc fromthecenter outwithacleaningcloth.Remove
thedisc fromtheunit andstore itin its case after playing. Someplay-
backoperationsof discs maybeintentionallyfixedbysoftwareproducers.
Since thisunit plays discsaccording tothedisc contents the software
producers designed, someplay
7Regional Coding
Both theDVD player and disc are coded byregion.These regional
codes must match in order for the disc to play.Ifthecodesdon’t
match, the disc won’t play. This unit’s code is region 4. DVD’s with
other regional codescannot be playedin thisunit.

POWERINGANDINSTALLATION
1.Powering the systemindoors
Plug one end of theAC toDC adapter into theDCjack on the side ofthe
main unit, then plug the other end into the 110~240V AC power outlet.
2.Powering the system in acar
Plug oneend of the cigarettelighteradapterintothe DCjack on theunit,
thenplug the other endintothecigarette lighter socket.
Note: Unplug the apparatusfromthepower sourcewhennot inuseforan
extendedperiodof time.

SETUP
1. GeneralSetup Page
1) With no disc insidethe player,press ‘SETUP’to displaythe Main
screen ofthe Setup Menu onthescreen and “General SetupPage
appears.At the same time, “ is highlighted. Press ‘SETUP’again to
exit the Setup Menu and the unit will resume it’s last playbackmode.
2) Press the ENTER button, “TV Display is highlighted.
3) Press the or button toselect the other menus in general setup
page.
4) Press toenter the sub menu.
5) Press the or buttontoselect the submenuand press the ENTER
to confirmyour selection.

*Wide:When theplayeroutputssignalto awidescreen TV, a wide picture
is shownon the full screen.

1)InSetup menu, Press the or button to select “VideoQuality Setup
and is highlighted. Press ENTER toenterthevideo quality setuppage.
2)Press the ENTERbutton, “Brightness ishighlighted.
3)Press the or buttontoselect the other menus in the video
qualitysetup page.
4) Press to enter the submenu.
5) Press the or button toadjust the quantityandpress the ENTER
to confirmyour selection.

Withno diskinside the player, press SETUP to enter the Setup menu.
Press the or buttonto select “Password Setup Page and is
highlighted. Press ENTERto enterthe passwordpage.PressENTERtwice
toenterthePasswordChangePage. InputtheOld Passwordor theDefault
Password,the NewPassword, andConfirmedtheNewPassword.Press
ENTERtoconfirmthechange.
NOTE: In case you forget newly-input password,you can use 3308 as a
password.

1) With nodiskinside press“SETUP to enter Setupmenu, use the or
button to select “Preference Page and ishighlighted. Press ENTER
to enterthe preferencepage.
2)Press the ENTERbutton,“Audio ishighlighted.
3)Press the or buttontoselect the other menus in the preference
page.
4) Press toenter the sub menu.
5) Press the or button toselect the sub menu and press the
ENTERto confirmyour selection.

Themaster password is 3308.Thispassword isalwayseffectiveevenafter
youhaveselectedyourownpassword and changedit.Toavoidthe
possibilityofothers using thedefaultpassword toset theparental level
andchange thepassword, youcan record this masterpassword in
another area anddelete it fromthismanual.Somediscs can be limited
depending onthe ageof users while somediscs cannot.

Using AV Jacks”connecting to a Game or Camcorder.
