Iftworadardetectorsofaremountedclosetogethertheymayinterferewitheachother.Toavoidinterferenceyoucanselect

Toavoidinterferencebetweenradardetectorsthataremountedsidebyside,thedistancebetweentheunits
shouldbeatleast2.5meters.Iftwodetectorsaresidebysidebutangledawayfromeachother,forinstance
whenmountedonapole,thentheremightnotbeanyinterferenceeveniftheyarecloserthan2.5metersfrom

Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.

Congurethedetector
Thedetectorisreadytouseassoonasitisinstalled.Thedefaultliveviewwillshowtheradarcoverageandanydetectedmovement,
andyoucanadddetectionzonesandrulesrightaway.
Tomakeiteasiertoseewhereobjectsaremoving,youcanuploadareferencemap,forexampleagroundplanoranaerialphoto,
thatshowstheareacoveredbytheradardetector.

Imagerequirements:
•Supportedleformatsarejpegandpng.
•Useanimagewiththesameproportions(16:9)orresolution(1920x1080)astheliveview.Iftheimageissmalleritwillbe
scaledtotthewindow.Iftheproportionsarewrong,theimagewillnotlltheentirevideostream.
•roptheimagetotthecoverageoftheradarascloselyaspossiblebeforeuploadingit.
•Theorientationisnotimportant,sincetheradarcoverageshapewillbemovedtoadapttotheimageduringcalibration.
Afteruploadingthereferencemapyouneedtocalibratetheradarsothattheactualradarcoveragetstheposition,directionand
scaleofthereferencemap.
Therearetwomethodsforcalibratingthereferencemap:
•Calibrationusingpins:Thecalibrationisperformedinthewebinterfacebydroppingpinsinknowlocationsinthe
referencemapandsettingthedistancebetweenthepins.
Whencalibratingusingpins,youneedtoselectthemountingpositionoftheradarmoduleinsidethedetector.
•Calibrationusingtracks:Thecalibrationmethodrequiresapersontomoveinfrontoftheradar.
Youcandothisyourselfwhileaccessingthewebinterfacefromamobiledevice,orhavesomeoneelsemoveand
followyourinstructions.
Whenmovingaroundinthedifferentsteps,movetoplacesthatareeasytondinthereferencemap.
Howtocongurethedetector
1.Touploadareferencemap,gotoSettings>Radar>Reerencemap.SelectBrowsetondanimagele,andselect
Uploadtoplacetheimageintheliveview.
2.Tocalibratethereferencemap,gotoSettings>Radar>Reerencemapcalibration.SelectStartcalibrationand
followtheinstructions.
Howtoinstallmultipledetectors
Iftworadardetectorsofaremountedclosetogethertheymayinterferewitheachother.Toavoidproblems,selectdifferent
channelsforthedetectors.
1.GotoSettings>Radar>GeneralandselectChannel.
Rulesandalerts
Youcancreaterulestomakeyourdeviceperformanactionwhencertaineventsoccur.Aruleconsistsofconditionsandactions.
Theconditionscanbeusedtotriggertheactions.Forexample,thedevicecanstartarecordingorsendanemailwhenitdetects

•Filteronmovement:
GotoSettings>Radar>DetectionandselectIgnoreswayingobjects.Thissettingwillminimizefalsealarmsfromtrees,
bushes,andagpolesinthecoveragezone.
•Filterontime:
GotoSettings>RMDzonesandselectazonetomodifyit’ssettings.
EnableShort-livedobjectandsetadelaytimefromwhentheradarstartstrackinganobjectuntilitcantriggerandalarm.
Thetimerstartswhentheradarrstdetectstheobject,notwhentheobjectenterstheincludezone.
•Filteronobjecttype:
Thedetectorwillclassifyobjectsdependingontheradarechothattheyproduce.Ifitcan’tdeterminetheobjecttype,
theobjectwillbeclassiedasUnidentied.

Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.

DisconnecttheAxisdevicefromthenetwork.Runthepingcommand(inaommand/DOSwindow,

•Ifyoureceive:Replyfrom<IPaddress>:bytes=32;time=10...
thismeansthattheIPaddressmayalreadybeinusebyanotherdeviceonthenetwork.
ObtainanewIPaddressfromthenetworkadministratorandreinstallthedevice.
•Ifyoureceive:Requesttimedout,thismeansthattheIPaddressisavailable
forusewiththeAxisdevice.heckallcablingandreinstallthedevice.
PossibleIPaddressconict
withanotherdeviceonthe
samesubnet
ThestaticIPaddressintheAxisdeviceisusedbeforetheDHPserversetsadynamicaddress.
ThismeansthatifthesamedefaultstaticIPaddressisalsousedbyanotherdevice,theremay
