Serial number
At BALMUDA, we kindly ask our customers to register their product
so that we can provide the optimal product support.
To register, you will need your product serial number. The serial number
is printed at the bottom of the main unit.
The serial number is a 13-digit alphanumeric string after “S/N”.
Please ensure to discard all water before tilting the main unit.
Please note that the serial numbers printed on the power base is not
the serial number of the main unit.
Product user registration facilitates smooth customer support,
regardless of whether it is within or outside of the warranty period.
For inquiries regarding repairs, product handling, and maintenance, please feel free
to contact the BALMUDA Support (page 10).
Our expert sta, who are well-versed in our products, will respond promptly.
Safety Precautions
Please read this carefully before use and use it correctly.
The precautions described in this manual are intended to ensure the safe and correct use of the product
and to prevent harm to humans, pets, and property.
This appliance is intended for household use only.
In this manual, damages and injuries caused by incorrect usage are presented with
their classications.
Warning Indicates “actions that could result in serious injury or death”.
Caution Indicates “actions that could result in minor injury or cause damage to a
building or furniture”.
The contents to be observed during use are explained with the following graphic
symbols.
Indicates “prohibited” content that user must avoid.
Indicates the “instruction” content that user must follow.

Instruction for use
Warning
Persons who experience physical, sensory, or mental diculties (including children who
need guidance with the product) or persons who are not familiar with this product must not
be allowed to use it without supervision by their guardians.
It may cause burns, injuries or electric shock.
Do not immerse the unit or power base in water.
If the unit or power base has been immersed in water, unplug the power plug from the power outlet
and take it out of the water.
Also, discontinue use and contact BALMUDA Support (page 10).
It may cause injury, electric shock, re, or malfunction.
Do not splash water on the main unit or power base. Do not get the bottom of the unit wet.
It may cause electric shock, re, or malfunction.
Do not touch the metal parts of the connections on the main unit and on the power base, or
insert metal such as pins into the hole.
It may cause burns or electric shock.
Do not look into the spout or point it at people.
It may cause burns or injuries.
Do not disassemble or modify the product.
It may cause electric shock or re.
Do not wash the main unit or power base in a dishwasher.
Water may enter the electrical parts inside the product and cause electric shock or re.
Do not use detergents when cleaning the product.
Detergent left inside the product after rinsing may cause hot water to burst out suddenly or cause
malfunctions.
Do not use the product for any purpose other than those recommended in this instruction
manual and by us.
It may cause accidents such as electric shock or re. We will not be held responsible if the product
was not used properly or the user did not follow these instructions.
Close the lid tightly all the way to the end.
Otherwise the auto-o function does not work and the power does not turn o when the water
boils, which can cause a re.
Also, the lid can come o and hot water may leak, which can cause burns.
Be careful not to let infants and children come into contact with the product.
It may cause burns, injuries, electric shock or re.
Always contact BALMUDA Support (page 10) for replacement or repair of the power plug
or power cable, or for other repairs.

If the bottom or handle of the product is cracked, or if it wobbles even when the product is
lled with water, stop using it immediately.
It may cause damage to the product or burns or electric shock due to leakage of (hot) water.

Instruction for use
Caution
Use only a dedicated power base. Also, do not use the power base for other kettles.
It may cause burns, electric shock or re.
Do not touch the product (body, lid, and nozzle) except the handle or switch while heating
the water or for a while after the water is heated.
It may cause burns.
Keep your face and hands away from the steam vent or the spout while heating the water or
for a while after the water is heated.
It may cause burns due to steam.
Do not move the main unit by holding anything other than the handle (such as the lid or nozzle).
The main unit may fall, resulting in burns, injury, or malfunction.
Do not bump or impact the nozzle.
This may lead to hot water leaking from the base of the nozzle, which may cause burns.
Do not drop or impact the main unit or power base.
It may cause burn, injury, electric shock, re, or malfunction.
Only water can be used.
It may squirt and cause burns.
Do not tilt the unit too excessively. Also, do not tilt it in the opposite direction of the spout.
Hot water may leak from the steam vent or the bottom of the product, which may cause burns or
electric shock.
Do not block the steam vent while heating water.
Hot water may squirt and cause burns.
Do not remove the lid while heating water.
It may cause burns or injuries.
Do not leave this product unattended while heating water.
It can cause burns to someone touching this product without noticing it is in use.
Do not wash the entire product at once.
It may cause electric shock or malfunction.
Do not use cleansers, benzene, thinner, or metal scrubbing brush.
It may damage or deform the product.
Do not pour water while it is on the power base.
It may cause malfunction or electric shock.
Do not pour water higher than the Max plate (indicates upper limit of water). (Up to 0.6 L)
Excessive water may overow and cause burns or electric shock.
Place the power base on a at, stable surface.
It may cause burns, injuries or electric shock.
Before cleaning the product, remove the power plug from the outlet and let the product cool
down.
It may cause burns or electric shock.
If the nozzle wobbles, stop using the product immediately.
Water or hot water may leak, resulting in burns or electric shock.
After use, unplug the power plug from the outlet and discard the remaining hot water to
empty the main unit.
Otherwise, it may result in discolouration or corrosion inside the unit.

Power supply and power cable
Warning
Never use a deformed or damaged power plug or power cable.
It may cause electric shock or re.
Do not bend or pull the power cord forcibly, wind it tightly, or trap it in a drawer.
It may cause burns, electric shock or re.
When unplugging the power plug from the power outlet, hold the power plug, and do not pull
the power cable.
It may damage the power cable, resulting in electric shock or re.
Caution
Do not leave the power plug plugged into the outlet for an extended period of time.
Dust may accumulate and cause a re.
Do not touch the power plug or metal parts of the power base with wet hands.
It may cause electric shock.
Use a single outlet rated for 13 A, 220-240 V AC exclusively. If it is necessary to extend the
cable, use an extension cable rated 13 A (1500 W) or higher exclusively.
Otherwise it may cause re.
Installation
Warning
Keep this product away from stoves, toasters, and other objects with high temperature.
The product may be damaged or deformed, resulting in electric shock.
Caution
Do not place the product in places which are unstable, exposed to water, where the bottom
may get wet, or where the power plug may be exposed to steam.
It may cause burns, injuries or electric shock.
Never place the product on stoves, heaters, electric heaters, induction cooktops, etc.
It may cause re or malfunction.
Do not use it outdoors or in humid places.
It may cause electric shock due to condensation, rain, etc.
Place it in a location where pets, curtains, etc. cannot touch it.
Otherwise the product may fall over and cause burns or injury.
The breaker may trip if this product and other multiple electrical products are used at the same time.
* This product uses 5.7 A (1200-1430 W) current.

How to use it
Perform the following procedure at least twice before use to clean the unit.
1. Remove the cap from the spout and rinse the inside of the unit with water.
2. Fill the main unit with water up to the Max plate , which indicates
upper limit of water. (0.6 L)
3. Press down the switch to boil the water.
4. Throw out the boiled water.

for a while after the water is heated.
It may cause burns.

Remove the lid and ll the unit with water (0.6 L maximum).
Only ll up the main unit with water.
Other liquids may squirt and cause burns.

If water is poured higher than the Max plate (indication of

Close the lid, place the unit on the power base, and plug the power plug
into the power outlet.

The steam vent of the lid
should point in the direction
shown in the gure.
Close the lid tightly all the way to the end.
Otherwise the auto-o function does not work and may cause a re.

Turn down the switch to turn it on.
(The water heat lamp lights up and the product starts heating water.)
When the water boils, the power turns o automatically with a click and the water heating lamp goes out.
To turn o the power during the process, pull the switch up or lift the unit o the power base.

Hot water may squirt and cause injury or burns. Condensation
may form around
the switch. This is
not a malfunction.
This is because
the product detects boiling by steam
and switches o automatically (auto-
o function).
Keep your face and hands away from the steam vent or
the spout while heating the water or for a while after the
water is heated.
It may cause burns.
Do not leave this product unattended while heating water.
It can cause burns to someone touching this product
without noticing it is in use.
Hold the handle to pour hot water.
Do not tilt the unit too much.
Hot water may leak from the switch or steam
vent and cause burns or electric shock.

After use, unplug the power plug from the outlet and discard the remaining
hot water to empty the main unit.
Be sure to discard the remaining water.
Otherwise, it may result in discolouration or corrosion inside the unit.

How to use the power cable holder
The power cable can be stored in the
power cable holder behind the power
base. When using it, adjust it to the
appropriate length before use.
When using the power base, make sure to
pull out the power cable out of the cord
drawer completely so that the base will
be at and on a stable surface.

Maintenance of each part
Main unit (outside), power base, lid: Soak water in a soft cloth, wring it out tightly and wipe.
Main body (inside): Rinse it or clean it with citric acid.
Cleaning with citric acid
If you want to remove scale on the inside of the main unit, perform the following procedure.

* Calcied scales may not be completely removed after cleaning with citric acid. This does not cause any problems for
product usage.

Frequently asked questions

The product does not turn
on.
●Is the power plug rmly plugged into the power outlet?
●Is the unit properly seated in the power base?
ҘThe no-water heating prevention function may be activated. Allow it to cool for a
while before use.
Hot water spills out.
●Is water below the maximum water level (0.6 L)?
ҘMake sure to keep it below the maximum water level (0.6L).
●Did you pour anything other than water?
ҘThis product is for water only.
It does not turn o when
water boils.
●Is the lid closed tightly all the way to the end?
ҘIf the lid is not closed, the auto-o function will not work. Make sure to close the
lid before use.
There are water droplets on
the power base.
ҘSteam may leak slightly from the switch when boiling water and may form
condensation. This is not a malfunction.
The power base is ooded. ●Is water below the maximum water level (0.6 L)?
ҘMake sure to keep it below the maximum water level (0.6L).
The main unit is hot. ҘThe main unit gets very hot. Only touch the handle and switch until it cools.
Limited warranty and after-sales service
To ensure that you receive the best support and service, please complete the product user registration.
1) The warranty period is 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase.
2) Product must be purchased from BALMUDA authorised distributor or dealer in Singapore or Malaysia.
3) Please ensure you retain your proof of purchase (including purchase receipt and delivery slip) from an authorised
distributor or dealer in Singapore or Malaysia. Proof of purchase must be presented for any product warranty claim.
After-sales service will not be available if proof of purchase is not provided.
4) The product warranty covers parts and labour excluding accessories and transportation.
5) This product is designed to operate with 220-240 V AC in Singapore and Malaysia only. The product cannot be
operated outside Singapore and Malaysia where the power supply voltage or frequency is dierent.

When disposing of the product and its parts, follow the regulations in your area.

Your BALMUDA product is warranted against defective material, manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of
purchase subject to terms and conditions.
Product warranty coverage is provided for malfunctions that occur under normal household use and in conditions included in the
instruction manual, on labels of the unit, or in any other cautionary notes.
1. Repairs will not be covered by the warranty in the following situations even if the warranty period has not expired. We assume
no responsibility in these situations:
( a ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from use of the product outside the use conditions included in the instruction manual,
labels on the unit, or in any other cautionary notes (including use outside of the specied areas).
(b ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from misuse, modification of the product, or improper repair done by unauthorised
personnel or repair centre.
( c ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from movement of the installation location, the product falling, moving or transporting the
product after the product was purchased.
( d ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from re, earthquake, storm, oods, lightning, or other natural disasters as well as from
pollution, salt, abnormal voltages, or other external factors.
( e ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from use in vehicles or aboard ships or in environments with extremely high or low
temperatures, high humidity, dust, or other conditions beyond the range of acceptable use.
( f ) Malfunctions or damage resulting from use in a non-residential environment; such as in a business commercial setting.
( g ) If no purchase receipt or other proof verifying the purchase of the device can be provided; if the purchase date, customer
name, or authorised distributor / dealer name cannot be veried on this warranty; or if the information has been altered.
( h ) Malfunctions or damage of accessories or expendable items. This does not include malfunctions or damage caused by a
defective component or defective manufacturing.
( i ) Damage caused to the surface of the device (including scratches and dents).
( j ) Defects resulting from inappropriate storage such as in hot and humid environments, from deterioration over time, or from
natural wear and tear or parts and accessories.
( k ) If a false declaration regarding the cause of failure is provided.
2. Customers will be responsible for covering shipping/transportation fees and risk involved when shipping the product to a
BALMUDA Support even if it is within the warranty period.
3. Refurbished parts or alternative parts may be used for repairs. Faulty parts that are replaced will not be returned. All spare parts
will be collected and properly process or dispose of parts replaced during repair.
4. The warranty period at the time of initial purchase will be applied to products following non-chargeable repairs (including
product replacement) on the basis of the rules in this warranty.
5. We will not oer compensation for damages caused by an inability to use the purchased product due to malfunction.
6. This warranty document will not be reissued, so please keep it in a safe location.
7. This warranty is valid only within Singapore and Malaysia; depending on the country of purchase.
Any warranty repair shall be subject to the product warranty terms and conditions.
In the case of any dispute, our discretion is deemed as nal. No other claims may be made as a result thereof.
