WARNING
For personal safety, make sure that
the gas and electrical connections
to the range have been
disconnected before starting the
removal procedure to replace parts.

Grill burner
It is the part used for grilling in gas ranges which is
controlled by the gas tap or the
gas thermostat under the control knob.
It is located at the top of the oven body.
The holes on the upper part of the burner
provide the equal burning of gas, thus heat is
distributed uniformly inside the oven.
Oven burner
It is the part that provides the possibility of cooking
food inside the oven in gas ranges at the
desired temperature. It is controlled by
the gas tap or the gas thermostat under
the control knob and is located under the oven body
between the oven body and oven bottom support
sheet. The holes on the upper part of the burner provide
the equal burning of gas, thus heat is distributed
uniformly inside the oven.
Top burner
It is the top gas heater. It recieves the gas coming
from the main gas pipe to the gas tap
with the assistance of the feeding tube.
Lighting the gas emitting from the
burner cap holes on top of the burner head ensures
the food on the top burner plate to be warmed or
cooked.
Thermic element
It is used at the grill burner, oven burner, and even,
if desired, at the top burners. Its function is to
prevent the possible gas leakage which occurs
when the flame is extinguished suddenly. One
end of the thermic element is connected to the
releated burner while the other end goes to the gas
tap or thermostat. Once the flame goes out, the thermic
element cuts the gas flow within 60-90 seconds and
prevents the unburned gas to accumulate inside the
oven. While lighting the desired burner, it is necessary
to keep the releated knob pressed for about 10-15
seconds after the flame becomes visible. The purpose
Injector
When the gas tap or the thermostat is turned on with
the control knob, the injector sprays the gas
coming to the burner regularly and at a certain
pressure through the burner.
Gas tap
It provides the gas flow to the oven, grill and top
burners with the assistance of the feeding
tubes when the releated control knob is
turned on.
Gas thermostat
It provides the gas flow to the oven and grill
burners with the assistance of the feeding
tubes when the releated control knob is
turned on. The gas thermostat can be adjusted
to the desired temperature according to the various
types of meals to be cooked. One end of the oven
and grill thermic elements are connected to the gas
thermostat.
Lamp button
It is an on-off switch which controls the lamp
and/or the rotisserie motor in gas ranges.
Automatic ignition
It is a range lighter which automatically lights
the top burners by means of the spark plugs
when its button is pressed, eliminating the need
to light the burner manually.
Spark plug
One of its ends is connected to the automatic ignition
while the other end is to the releated
burner. When the oven knob is turned on
and the automatic ignition is activated with
its button, the spark created on the spark plug ignites
the burner and provides firing. In this case, the burners
are ready for cooking.
Chapter 1/Components
Chapter 1/Components

Grill heating element
It is the heating element which is activated by the
control knob and used for grilling
in electirical and multi-functional ranges.
It is controlled by the thermostat and the commutator
under the control knob and provides heat to the oven
from the oven body upper part.
Oven heating element
It is the heating element which is controlled by the
commutator under the control knob and
providing the possibility of cooking food
inside the oven body at desired temperatures
with the assistance of the electrical thermostat in
electrical and multi-functional ranges. It is located
under the oven body, between the oven body and
oven bottom support sheet.
Turbo heating element
It is the heating element located on the oven body
rear wall in turbo and multi-functional
ranges. The air is sucked through the
holes with the assistance of the suction
holes found on this surface, and blowed out from the
air holes which are located next to the suction holes.
The heated air performs the cooking operation passing
through the upper and lower tray surfaces. The turbo
heating element and the fan are controlled with the
oven control knob located on the control panel.
Electrical thermostat
It is the electrical component that adjusts
the heating elements to the desired
operating temperature when the releated
contol knob is turned on.
Turbo motor
It operates alone itself at defrost position in turbo and
multi-functional ranges. At the positions
it operates together with the turbo
heating element, it provides that the
heat on the turbo heating element is
assistance of the turbo motor fan. It operates with
35-40 W power, and 2700-2800 rpm stroke.
Rotisserie motor
It operates together with the grill heating element at
grill position in electrical and multi-
functional ranges, whereas it is controlled
by a separate knob at gas ranges. The
rotisserie function can be performed by attaching the
turn spit bed into the rotisserie motor. The motor
operates with 4 W power and 2 rpm stroke.
Terminal block
It is the connection element where the supply cord
and the cables inside the oven are
attached to. The cables which are
connected to the components inside the oven are
distributed from the terminal block.
Oven lamp
It is controlled either by the lamp button or by a
commutator connected to the control knob
and illuminates the inside of the oven
body. There are 15 W and 25 W types.
Control panel lamps
Control panel lamps are used as thermostat and
power warning lamps in electrical,
turbo and multi-functional ranges. The
thermostat lamp remains lit as long as the
temperature inside the oven is below the adjusted
setting. The oven operates until the adjusted temperature
setting has been reached. Once the temperature inside
the oven reaches the adjusted level the thermostat cuts
out the circuit and the thermostat lamp turns itself off.
The thermostat lamp is again on when the thermostat
starts to operate once the temperature inside the oven
drops below the setting. Thus, the temperature is kept
at the adjusted level during cooking. The color of the
thermostat lamp is yellow. The power warning lamp
is red and indicates that the oven or the hot plate(s)
are on.

Commutator
It provides the operation of the components inside
the oven, like hotplates, heating elements,
oven lamp, fan motor, and rotisserie
motor, at the desired positions in
electrical, turbo and multi-functional
ranges. It is connected to the control knobs and
operates with the action of them. Different types of
commutators exist at various settigs. On electrical and
turbo ranges, an electrical thermostat is connected to
the rear of the commutator, whereas in multifunctional
ranges the commutator operates alone
Hot Plate
It is the top electrical heater. It is controlled with a 4
or 7 positioned commutator that can be
set to different temperatures.
The 0 setting is the OFF position, while
tho other temperature settings vary between
4 and 6. The diameter and the power of the plate
depends on the type of the range.
Ceran Hot Plate
It exists in the Ceran type ovens, installed under the
Ceran Glass, and heats the glass
region within the projection area
from the bottom. It is controled with an
energy regulator and/or a 7-positioned commutator
mounted to the control knob, that can be adjusted to
different temperatures. The 0 setting is OFF while the
other temperature settings vary between 1 and 6.
Analog timer
It is used for the purpose of programming by setting
the time while cooking or else to
show the time on the oven. It performs
various functions such as adjusting
the daily actual time, adjusting the alarm (bell)
timing, adjusting the cooking time, adjusting of the
cooking starting time, cooking with timer by automatic
programming, semi-automatic programming (rapid
cooking with certain time), etc. The alarm of the timer
may be set up to 55-60 minutes while the analog
timer itself may be set between 0-180 minutes.
Digital timer
It is used for the purpose of programming by setting
the time while cooking or else to show the
time on the oven. The electric current going
to the heating elements passes through the timer. In
order to activate the heating elements, the timer needs
definitely to be set. Together with the heating elements
inside the oven, the hot plate can also be programmed
with the digital timer. The digital timer performs various
functions such as manual cooking (rapid cooking),
semi-automatic programming, automatic programming,
programming for a warning in a short time, etc. If the
oven digital timer has been programmed, the heating
elements are not activated until the program starts.
The cooking time can be adjusted between 0 - 24
hours as well as the sound alarm.
It is used to abstruct the grill and oven working
together when door is closed.
