Important Safeguards
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use, even if you are familiar with this type
of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric
shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for
future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and
carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when
using an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Voltage: Before plugging in the power adaptor, make sure your outlet voltage
and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage stated on the product rating
label.
• Wall socket: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral
convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of re or electric shock.
When the adaptor is plugged into the power supply, make sure the wall socket
is easily accessible so it can be readily unplugged.
• Do not immerse: To protect against re and electric shock, do not immerse the
cord, plug, power adaptor or the product itself in water or other liquid.
• Protect from moisture: Never subject this product to moisture or extreme
temperatures. Do not expose it to dripping or splashing water. Do not use the
product near water (bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming
pool) or in a damp basement.
• Protect the power cord: Do not kink, bend, squash or damage the cord of
the power adaptor and protect it from sharp edges and heat. Ensure nothing
is placed upon or against the cord. It is always best to have a clear area from
where the cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into a wall outlet. Run the
cord in such a way that there will be no risk of anyone pulling it inadvertently,
tripping over it or stepping on it.
• Damaged cord: If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied personnel. Contact our after
sales support line in order to avoid a hazard.
• Disconnect: To prevent damage to the product due to lightning strikes and
powerline surges, switch the product off and unplug it from the wall outlet during
lightning storms and when the product is not going to be used for an extended
period of time. Grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull the cord.

Usage conditions and restrictions
• Attachments: Do not use attachments that are not recommended by the
product manufacturer or distributor.
• Adjustments: Only use and adjust controls and perform procedures as
specied in this manual. Any other adjustments or procedures may expose you
to danger and void your warranty.
• Installation and use: Improper use or installation may result in the risk of re,
electric shock and/or injury. We assume no liability for any eventual damages
caused by improper use or incorrect handling.
• Usage restriction: This product is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Children: Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the product.
Safe usage
• Location: Place the product on a straight, rigid and stable surface, away from
sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Prevent overheating: Place the product in a sufciently aerated place, allowing
at least 10cm clearance at the back and top of the product, and 5cm on both
sides, to prevent overheating. Do not place the product on top of another
appliance that may cause overheating (for example, a receiver or amplier).
• Keep away from heat: Do not place the product near heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
• Prevent damage: Do not place the product near other items that may damage
it, such as naked ame sources (lit candles) or objects containing water (a vase
or sh bowl).
• Keep openings clear: Take care that no objects fall and no liquids are spilled
into any openings.
WARNING: Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Swallowing may lead to serious injury or death in as little
as 2 hours due to internal burns. If swallowed, go straight
to a hospital emergency room. Dispose of used batteries
immediately.

Care and cleaning
• Cleaning: Clean the unit only as recommended in this manual, with a dry, soft
cloth.
• Do not use chemical cleaners: Do not use strong cleaning agents, such as
benzine, thinner or similar substances as these can damage the surface of the
unit.
• Do not open: Do not remove the cover or the back of this product.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside this product.
• Do not repair yourself: Do not attempt to dismantle, open or repair this product
yourself. Do not attempt to service the unit beyond those methods described
in this instruction manual. Service methods not covered in the operating
instructions should be referred to qualied service personnel.
• Battery disposal: Dispose of spent or damaged batteries in accordance with
local regulations.

Before rst use
Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
your new Speaker Dock with Alarm Clock Radio is undamaged and in good
working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children, so ensure all such materials are out of their reach.
Battery backup for clock memory
The Speaker Dock with Alarm Clock Radio has a battery compartment for 1 x 3V
CR-2032 size battery (included) for memory backup in case of a power failure.
After the unit has been in operation for some time, these batteries will have lost
their charge and will need replacing.
• The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the radio. To insert the
backup battery, twist the battery cover to the right (clockwise) until it can
be removed. Place the provided battery with the “+” sign facing up into the
compartment. Close the battery cover again by twisting it to the left (counter
clockwise).
NOTE: This unit will operate without the battery installed, but the time, alarm and
radio preset settings will be lost and have to be reset in the event of a
power interruption or failure.
Precautions when using batteries
• Do not expose batteries to excessive heat from direct sunlight or re.
• Always ensure that batteries are installed correctly, wrong polarity installation
may damage the unit.
• Only use batteries of the same type and size. Do not mix old and new ones, or
alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable batteries.
• Leaving spent or leaking batteries inside the compartment can cause damage
to the unit and may void the warranty.
• Do not dispose of batteries in re as batteries may cause an explosion.
• Do not try to recharge a battery that is not intended to be recharged.

Set the radio
1. Press the power “ON/OFF” ( ) button on top of the unit.
The Bluetooth® icon will appear on the display.
2. Press the “SET/MODE”( ) button twice until the “FM” icon is shown on the
display.
3. Press and hold the “PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN” ( ) button for 2 seconds.
The radio will automatically start to scan for available stations and store up to 20
stations accordingly.
4. Once the scan is completed, you can easily switch between the stations by
pressing the “backward” ( ) or “forward” ( ) button.
NOTE: For best reception, fully extend the wire antenna. DO NOT strip, alter or
attach to other antennas.
Power adaptor connection
• Connect the AC adapter to the back of unit and plug into a wall outlet.
The LCD display turns on.
• Remove the battery isolating tape from the battery compartment of the remote
conrol.
NOTE: 1 x 3V CR-2025 battery is pre-installled.
Adjust display brightness
• You can adjust the brightness of the display backlight by pressing the “SNOOZE
I DIMMER” bar on top of the unit.
• There are three different brightness settings: HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW.
Set the time
1. Press the “Time” button on the back of the radio.
2. Select between 12-hour or 24-hour display by pressing the “+” or “-” button.
3. Press the “Time” button again to adjust the hour by using the “+” or “-” button.
4. Press the “Time” button a third time to adjust the minute by using the “+” or “-”
button.
5 Press the “Time” button again to complete the time set process.

Listening to the radio
1. Press the power “ON/OFF” ( ) button on top of the unit.
2. Press the “SET/MODE”( ) button until the “FM” icon is shown on the
display.
Use the “backward” ( ) or “forward” ( ) button to select your
desired radio station.
3. To turn off the radio, simply press the “ON/OFF” ( ) button on top of the unit.
Set the alarm clock
1. Press the “Alarm 1” ( ) or “Alarm 2” ( ) button to set the alarm clock.
The display will begin ashing.
2. Press the alarm button one time to choose radio or press the button a
second time to choose the buzzer to wake you up. Press the button a third time
to turn the alarm off.
3. Press the “SET/MODE” ( ) button to set the hour. Use the “Volume down”
( ) or “Volume up” ( ) button to adjust the hour, paying attention to the AM
and PM indicators.
4. Press the “SET/MODE” ( ) button to set the minute. Use the “Volume
down” ( ) or “Volume up” ( ) button to adjust the minute.
5. Press the “SET/MODE” ( ) button to complete the alarm clock setting.
NOTE: The alarm cannot be set to the Bluetooth®source.
The radio is equipped with gradual wake. The alarm begins soft and slowly
gets louder.

Turning Off the alarm/Snooze operation
Press the SNOOZE bar to stop the alarm at any time. The alarm will be switched
off for the next nine minutes.
NOTE: You can repeat this process for six times. After that, the alarm will turn off
and will not sound again until the next set time.
1. To turn off the alarm completely, simply press the “Alarm 1” ( ) or
“Alarm 2” ( ) button.
Using the alarm clock
The radio will store the alarm time in memory when turned off.
1. To turn on the alarm clock again, simply press the “Alarm 1” ( ) or
“Alarm 2” ( ) button. The display will begin ashing.
2. Press the alarm button one time to choose radio or press the button a second
time to choose the buzzer to wake you up.
3. Press the “SET/MODE”( ) button once to conrm the pre-set hour, a
second time to conrm the pre-set minute and a third time to complete the alarm
clock setting.
Connect to a Bluetooth®audio device
1. Press the power “ON/OFF” ( ) button on top of the unit.
2. Press the “SET/MODE”( ) button until the the Bluetooth® icon will be
ashing on the display.
3. Turn on your Bluetooth® device and select “BAUHN RDO” to pair and connect
for the rst time.
4. The radio will sound a hint tone once the pairing was successful and the
Bluetooth® icon will be shown permanently on the display.

NOTE: If your Bluetooth® device prompts you for a passcode, enter “1234”.
If “BAUHN RDO” cannot be found in your Bluetooth® device list, scan
again for available Bluetooth® devices.

You are now set to play music on the radio.
You can either use your device to control the the music or use the radio and/or
remote control.
NOTE: You may need to adjust the volume level on your device to achieve
proper volume.
The radio and your Bluetooth® device store paired devices in memory when turned
off. When the radio is turned on again, it attempts to connect to the last connected
Bluetooth® device automatically. If the last connected device is not available, the
radio attempts to connect to devices in memory one by one. The radio stays in
searching if there is no available paired device.
Connect to a non-Bluetooth®audio device
1. Use a 3.5mm audio cable (included) and plug it into the “AUX IN” audio line
input located on the back of the unit.
2. Plug the other end of the audio cable into the line out or headphone jack of your
audio device.
3. Press the power “ON/OFF” ( ) button on top of the unit.
4. Press the “SET/MODE”( ) button until the “AUX” icon is shown on the
display.
NOTE: For best reception, fully extend the wire antenna. DO NOT strip, alter or
attach to other antennas.
Sleep feature
While listening to a Bluetooth®, radio or AUX source, press the “SLEEP” ( )
button to activate the sleep timer.
This allows you to set a sleep timer for 90 to 10 minutes (in 10 minutes steps).
Once set, the unit will continue playing for the set length of time and will then
automatically turn off.

If a Bluetooth® enabled phone is connected to the radio, you can receive calls and
speak through the built-in microphone.
1. To answer an incoming call press the "PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN" ( ) button on
the unit or the answer button on your phone.
2. To end a call, simply press the "PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN" ( ) button again.
NOTE: To make a phonecall, you will have to use your phone.
USB charging port
This radio is equiped with a USB charging port that can be found on the back of the
unit.The charging port allows you to charge your device while it is connected to the
radio.
NOTE: The USB port cannot be used to play music.
The maximum output is DC 5V 1A.
