damaged, it must be replaced by a
special cord or assembly from the
manufacturer and installed by a
qualified technician.

result in a potential burn haz-
ard. Combustible items may
ignite, metallic items may
become hot and cause burns.
• Ensure oven is installed and
secured properly.

Preparation of location and
electrical installation for the oven
is the customer’s responsibility.
The appliance should be properly
installed and grounded by a qualified
technician. The appliance must
be installed in accordance with all
local electrical regulations. Prior
to installation, visually inspect the
appliance for any defects. Do not
install a defective appliance.
6.1 ELECTRICAL
REQUIREMENTS
This appliance must be supplied with
the proper voltage and frequency
and be connected to an individual,
properly grounded branch circuit
protected by a circuit breaker or fuse.
See the rating plate to determine the
rating of the appliance. Use the chart
below to determine the minimum
recommended dedicated circuit
protection to ensure correct fuse
rating.

The main supply data must
correspond to the data specified on
the rating plate of the appliance. The
rating plate is located either bottom
of the control panel when opening
the door or on the rear wall of the

This appliance is manufactured with
a green GROUND wire connected
to the oven chassis. Ensure power
is disconnected or turned off at the
main supply before making any
electrical connections. Connect
the flexible conduit to the junction
box using a U.L. listed conduit
connector. The following procedures
present the most common ways of

making electrical connections to the
appliance. Ensure connections are
made in accordance with local codes
and ordinances.
• The appliance should be installed
and connected to electrical power
in accordance with national and
local regulations. In the absence of
codes, the National Fuel Gas Code
ANSI Z223.1/NFPA-54 - latest edi-
tion must be followed.
• In Canada, installation must be in
accordance with the current CAN/
CGA B149.1 & 2 Gas Installation
codes and/or local codes. Electrical
installation must be in accordance
with the current CSA C22.1 Cana-
dian Electrical Codes Part 1 and/or
local codes.
• Grounding through the neutral con-
ductor is prohibited for new branch
circuit installations (1996 NEC),
mobile homes, and recreational
vehicles, or in an area where local
codes prohibit grounding through
the neutral conductor.
• The installer must leave these
instructions with the consumer who
should retain for local inspector’s
use and for future reference.
• It is important the installation
location has an adequate electri-
cal system. Prior to installation, a
qualied electrician should ensure
the addition of the appliance will
not overload the branch circuit on
which it will be installed.
• Turn o power at main supply
before installing the appliance. The
product should not be connected to
the main supply prior to installation.
Main power must be shut o before
removing the appliance for clean-
ing or servicing.
• Do not remove permanently axed
labels, warnings, or plates from
oven. This may void the warranty.

CAUTION
To avoid risk of injury, or

• Use two or more people or

ing appliance.
• Remove and discard all pack-
ing materials, including card-
board and tape on the outside
and inside of the range.
• Remove any plastic protective
wrap on all parts.
• Thoroughly wash the interior
with hot, soapy water, rinse,
and wipe dry.
• Dispose of all packing materi-
als according to environmental
standards.
• Check for possible shipping
damage immediately after re-
ceipt. If the oven is found to be
damaged, contact your point of
sale immediately.
• DO NOT connect and operate
the oven if any damage was
found.
Note the time, date, and who
was spoken to, and follow up and
confirm with written or electronic
communication.
All original packing materials must be
kept for inspection purposes.
6.3 BEFORE INSTALLATION
The appliance is intended for
installation in commercially available
kitchen cabinets and a minimum
clearance must be ensured between
the appliance and kitchen walls,
floors, and furniture for safety.
• Surfaces, synthetic laminates, and
adhesives used near or around the
unit must be heat resistant.
• Kitchen cabinets used for installa-
tion must be set level and xed in
place.
• All openings in the wall behind the
oven and in the oor under the
oven must be sealed.
• Drawings used in this manual
are representational and may not
match each appliance exactly.
• Product guarantee is valid after
proper installation. The manufac-
turer will not be responsible for any
hazard or damage resulting from
improper installation or use.
• Always carry the appliance using
two or more people. Do not drag
the appliance across any surface,
as this may damage the surface.
• Remove all shipping materials
inside and outside of the oven.
• Remove all equipment from inside
the oven, including the oven racks
and printed documents.
• Read manual before installing ap-
pliance.
• The California Safe Drinking Water
and Toxic Enforcement Act re-
quires the Governor of California to
publish a list of substances known

to the State of California to cause
cancer, birth defects, or other
reproductive harm, and requires
businesses to warn of potential
exposure to such substances. This
appliance can cause low-level ex-
posure to some of the substances
listed, including benzene, form-
aldehyde, carbon monoxide, and
toluene.
• All electric wall ovens must be
hard wired (direct wired) into an
approved junction box. A plug and
receptacle is not permitted for this
application. Do not shorten the
exible conduit. The conduit strain
relief clamp must be securely at-
tached to the clamp. If the exible
conduit will not t within the clamp,
do not install the oven until a clamp
of the proper size is obtained.
Junction box may be located in
adjacent cabinet.
6.4 INSTALLATION
CONDITIONS
• All dimensions given in this manual
are in inches and millimeters.
• Oven dimensions and cutout di-
mensions are given in the previous
sections.
• Use cutout dimensions appropriate
for type of cabinet used in installa-
tion.
• Ensure cutout dimensions are ac-
curate for the type of cabinet and
appliance.
• All cabinet construction should be
complete and any dust or debris re-
moved before installing appliance.
• The cabinet shelf the appliance
will be installed on should be able
to withstand the weight of 220 lbs
(100 kg) or more.
• A shelf must be installed between
the oven and any drawer directly
under the oven.
• Use safety gloves before carry the
oven.
6.5 INSTALLATION
1. Open oven door and unlock
hinge clamps.

2. Using both hands, grasp the
sides of the oven door, raise and
lift up and out.
3. Using two or more people and
suitable stand, lift oven and
partially install to cabinet cutout.
4a. Connect green GROUND wire
and white wire from oven to
branch circuit NEUTRAL wire
in junction box. Connect red
and black wires from oven to
corresponding branch circuit red
and black wires in junction box.
(Where local code allows for the
connection of the GROUND wire
from the appliance to the branch
circuit NEUTRAL wire.)
4b. Disconnect green GROUND wire
from white NEUTRAL wire at free
end of appliance conduit and
connect green GROUND wire
from appliance to GROUND wire
(bare or green wire) in junction
box. Connect white NEUTRAL
wire from appliance to NEUTRAL
wire in junction box. Connect
red and black wires from oven to
corresponding branch circuit red
and black wires in junction box.
(Where local code prohibits the
connection of the GROUND wire
from the appliance to the branch
circuit NEUTRAL wire.)

CAUTION
To avoid risk of injury

damage, ensure electrical
supply cord is free and not
clamped, bent, or squeezed.
Do not route electrical
supply cord so that it will be
in contact with rear surface
of oven or over hot cooking
section. If the electrical
supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced.
5. Push seal area of oven to
position oven in cabinet cutout.
Position oven so oven frame and
cabinet frame are flush.
6. Secure oven to cabinet using
four screws. Do not overtighten
screws.
CAUTION
To avoid risk of tipping,
ensure oven is installed and
secured properly.
7. Install oven racks.

8. Install oven door to hinges.
9. Lock hinge clamps and close
oven door.
10. Connect or turn on power at main
supply.
11. Ensure appliance powers on.
