1 Important instructions for safety and environment
This section contains safety instructions that will help protect from risk of
personal injury or property damage. Failure to follow these instructions shall void
any warranty.
1.1 General safety
•Thisproductcanbeusedbychildrenatandabove8yearsoldandbypersons
whosephysical,sensoryormentalcapabilitieswerenotfullydevelopedorwho
lack experience and knowledge provided that they are supervised or trained on
thesafeusageoftheproductandtherisksitbringsout.Childrenmustnotplay
withtheproduct.Cleaningandmaintenanceworksshouldnotbeperformedby
childrenunlesstheyaresupervisedbysomeone.Childrenoflessthan3years
shouldbekeptawayunlesscontinuouslysupervised.
•Neverplacetheproductonacarpet-coveredfloor.Otherwise,lackofairflow
beneaththemachinewillcauseelectricalpartstooverheat.Thiswillcausepro-
blemswithyourproduct.
•Iftheproducthasafailure,itshouldnotbeoperatedunlessitisrepairedbythe
Authorized Service Agent. There is the risk of electric shock!
•Thisproductisdesignedtoresumeoperatingintheeventofpoweringonafter
apowerinterruption.Ifyouwishtocanceltheprogramme,see"Cancellingthe
programme"section.
•Connecttheproducttoagroundedoutletprotectedbya16Afuse.Donotne-
glecttohavethegroundinginstallationmadebyaqualifiedelectrician.Ourcom-
panyshallnotbeliableforanydamagesthatwillarisewhentheproductisused
without grounding in accordance with the local regulations.
•Thewatersupplyanddraininghosesmustbesecurelyfastenedandremainun-
damaged.Otherwise,thereistheriskofwaterleakage.
•Neveropentheloadingdoororremovethefilterwhilethereisstillwaterinthe
drum.Otherwise,riskoffloodingandinjuryfromhotwaterwilloccur.
•Donotforceopenthelockedloadingdoor.Theloadingdoorwillbereadytoopen
justafewminutesafterthewashingcyclecomestoanend.Incaseofforcing
the loading door to open, the door and the lock mechanism may get damaged.
•Unplugtheproductwhennotinuse.
•Neverwashtheproductbyspreadingorpouringwaterontoit!Thereistheriskof
electric shock!
•Nevertouchtheplugwithwethands!Neverunplugbypullingonthecable,
alwayspulloutbygrabbingtheplug.
•Usedetergents,softenersandsupplementssuitableforautomaticwashingma-
chines only.
•Followtheinstructionsonthetextiletagsandonthedetergentpackage.
•Theproductmustbeunpluggedduringinstallation,maintenance,cleaningand
repairing procedures.
•AlwayshavetherepairingprocedurescarriedoutbytheAuthorizedService
Agent.Manufacturershallnotbeheldliablefordamagesthatmayarisefrom
procedurescarriedoutbyunauthorizedpersons.

1.2 Intended use

cialuseanditmustnotbeusedoutofitsintendeduse.
•Theproductmustonlybeusedforwashingandrinsingoflaundrythataremar-
ked accordingly.
•Themanufacturerwaivesanyresponsibilityarisenfromincorrectusageortrans-
portation.
1.3 Children's safety
•Packagingmaterialsaredangeroustochildren.Keeppackagingmaterialsina
safe place away from reach of the children.
•Electricalproductsaredangerousforthechildren.Keepchildrenawayfromthe
productwhenitisinuse.Donotletthemtotamperwiththeproduct.Usechild
lock to prevent children from intervening with the product.
•Donotforgettoclosetheloadingdoorwhenleavingtheroomwheretheproduct
is located.
•Storealldetergentsandadditivesinasafeplaceawayfromthereachofthe
childrenbyclosingthecoverofthedetergentcontainerorsealingthedetergent
package.
While washing the laundry at high temperatures, the loading door
glassbecomeshot.Therefore,keepespeciallythechildrenaway
from the loading door of the machine while the washing operation
is in progress.
1.4 Package information
•Packagingmaterialsoftheproductaremanufacturedfromrecyclablematerials
inaccordancewithourNationalEnvironmentRegulations.Donotdisposeofthe
packaging materials together with the domestic or other wastes. Take them to the
packagingmaterialcollectionpointsdesignatedbythelocalauthorities.

1.5 Disposing of the waste product

tionpointfortherecyclingofelectricalandelectronicequipment.Pleaseconsult
your local authorities to learn the nearest collection point. Help protect the envi-
ronmentandnaturalresourcesbyrecyclingusedproducts.Forchildren'ssafety,
cutthepowercableandbreakthelockingmechanismoftheloadingdoorsothat

1.6 Compliance with WEEE Directive

2 Installation
To make the product ready for use, review the information in
the user manual and make sure that the electricity, tap water
supplyandwaterdrainagesystemsareappropriate.Ifthey
arenot,callaqualifiedtechnicianandplumbertohaveany
necessary arrangements carried out.
CINFORMATIONS
Preparationofthelocationandelectrical,tapwaterandwaste
water installations at the place of installation is under customer’s
responsibility.
Make sure that the water inlet and discharge hoses as well as the
powercablearenotfolded,pinchedorcrushedwhilepushingthe
product into its place after installation or cleaning procedures.
BWARNING
Installationandelectricalconnectionsoftheproductmustbe
carriedoutbytheAuthorizedServiceAgent.Manufacturershallnot
beheldliablefordamagesthatmayarisefromprocedurescarried
outbyunauthorizedpersons.
AWARNING
Priortoinstallation,visuallycheckiftheproducthasanydefectson
it.Ifso,donothaveitinstalled.Damagedproductscauserisksfor
your safety.
2.1 Appropriate installation location
• Placethemachineonarigidfloor.Donotplaceitonalong
pile rug or similar surfaces.
• Totalweightofthewashingmachineandthedryer-with
fullload-whentheyareplacedontopofeachother
reachestoapprox.180kilograms.Placetheproductona
solid and flat floor that has sufficient load carrying capacity!
• Donotplacetheproductonthepowercable.
• Donotinstalltheproductatplaceswheretemperaturemay
fallbelow0ºC.
• Placetheproductatleast1cmawayfromtheedgesof
other furniture.
2.2 Removing packaging reinforcement
Tiltthemachinebackwardstoremovethepackaging
reinforcement.Removethepackagingreinforcementby
pullingtheribbon.
2.3 Removing the transportation locks
AWARNING
Donotremovethetransportationlocksbeforetakingoutthe
packaging reinforcement.
Removethetransportationsafetyboltsbeforeoperatingthe
washingmachine!Otherwise,theproductwillbedamaged.
Loosenalltheboltswithasuitablespanneruntiltheyrotate
freely(C).Removetransportationsafetyboltsbyturningthem
gently.AttachtheplasticcoverssuppliedintheUserManual
bagintotheholesontherearpanel.(P)
CINFORMATIONS
Keepthetransportationsafetyboltsinasafeplacetoreusewhen
thewashingmachineneedstobemovedagaininthefuture.
Nevermovetheproductwithoutthetransportationsafetybolts
properly fixed in place!
2.4 Connecting water supply
CINFORMATIONS
Thewatersupplypressurerequiredtoruntheproductisbetween
1to10bars(0.1–1MPa).Itisnecessarytohave10–80liters
of water flowing from the fully open tap in one minute to have your
machine run smoothly. Attach a pressure reducing valve if water
pressure is higher.
Ifyouaregoingtousethedoublewater-inletproductasasingle
(cold)water-inletunit,youmustinstallthesuppliedstopperto
thehotwatervalvebeforeoperatingtheproduct.(Appliesforthe
productssuppliedwithablindstoppergroup.)
Ifyouwanttousebothwaterinletsoftheproduct,connectthe
hot water hose after removing the stopper and gasket group from
thehotwatervalve.(Appliesfortheproductssuppliedwithablind
stoppergroup.)
AWARNING
Modelswithasinglewaterinletshouldnotbeconnectedtothe
hotwatertap.Insuchacasethelaundrywillgetdamagedorthe
product will switch to protection mode and will not operate.
Donotuseoldorusedwaterinlethosesonthenewproduct.Itmay
cause stains on your laundry.
Connectthespecialhosessuppliedwiththeproducttothe
waterinletsontheproduct.Redhose(left)(max.90ºC)isfor
hotwaterinlet,bluehose(right)(max.25ºC)isforcoldwater
inlet.
AWARNING
Ensure that the cold and hot water connections are made correctly
wheninstallingtheproduct.Otherwise,yourlaundrywillcomeout
hot at the end of the washing process and wear out.
Tightenallhosenutsbyhand.Neveruseawrenchwhen
tighteningthenuts.Openthetapscompletelyaftermakingthe
hose connection to check for water leaks at the connection
points.Ifanyleaksoccur,turnoffthetapandremovethenut.
Retighten the nut carefully after checking the seal. To prevent
waterleakagesanddamagescausedbythem,keepthetaps
closed when the machine is not in use.

2.5 Connecting to the drain
• Theendofthedrainhosemustbedirectlyconnectedto
thewastewaterdrainortothewashbasin.
AWARNING
Donotremovethetransportationlocksbeforetakingoutthe
packaging reinforcement.
• Thehoseshouldbeattachedtoaheightofatleast40cm,
and100cmatmost.
• Incasethehoseiselevatedafterlayingitonthefloorlevel
orclosetotheground(lessthan40cmabovetheground),
waterdischargebecomesmoredifficultandthelaundry
may come out excessively wet. Therefore, follow the
heightsdescribedinthefigure.

• Topreventflowingofdirtywaterbackintothemachineand
to allow for easy discharge, do not immerse the hose end
into the dirty water or do not drive it in the drain more than
15cm.Ifitistoolong,cutitshort.
• Theendofthehoseshouldnotbebent,itshouldnotbe
steppedonandthehosemustnotbepinchedbetweenthe
drain and the machine.
• Ifthelengthofthehoseistooshort,useitbyadding
an original extension hose. Length of the hose may not
belongerthan3.2m.Toavoidwaterleakfailures,the
connectionbetweentheextensionhoseandthedrain
hoseoftheproductmustbefittedwellwithanappropriate
clamp as not to come off and leak.
2.6 Adjusting the feet
AWARNING
Inordertoensurethattheproductoperatesmoresilentlyand
vibration-free,itmuststandlevelandbalancedonitsfeet.Balance
themachinebyadjustingthefeet.Otherwise,theproductmay
movefromitsplaceandcausecrushingandvibrationproblems.
Loosenthelocknutsonthefeetbyhand.Adjustthefeetuntil
theproductstandslevelandbalanced.Tightenalllocknuts
againbyhand.
AWARNING
Donotuseanytoolstoloosenthelocknuts.Otherwise,theywill
get damaged.
2.7 Electrical connection
Connecttheproducttoagroundedoutletprotectedbya13
Afuse.Ourcompanyshallnotbeliableforanydamages
that will arise when the product is used without grounding in
accordance with the local regulations.
• Connectionmustcomplywithnationalregulations.
• Powercableplugmustbewithineasyreachafter
installation.
• Ifthecurrentvalueofthefuseorbreakerinthehouseis
lessthan13Amps,haveaqualifiedelectricianinstalla13
Amp fuse.
• Thevoltagespecifiedinthe“Technicalspecifications”
sectionmustbeequaltoyourmainsvoltage.
• Donotmakeconnectionsviaextensioncablesormulti-
plugs.
BWARNING: Damagedpowercablesmustbe
replacedbytheAuthorizedServiceAgents.
Electrical requirements
Beforeyouinserttheplugintothewallsocketmakesure
thatthevoltageandthefrequencyshownintheratinglabel
corresponds to your electricity supply.
Werecommendthatthisappliancebeconnectedtothemains
supplyviaasuitableswitchedandfusedsocketinareadily

Important
Fitting a different plug
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying
the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
1 Connectthegreen-yelloworgreen(earth)wiretothe
terminalintheplugmarked‘E’orwiththesymbolfor
coloured green and yellow or green.
2 Connecttheblue(neutral)wiretotheterminalintheplug
marked‘N’orcolouredblack.
3 Connectthebrown(live)wiretotheterminalintheplug
marked ‘L’ or coloured red.
Withthealternativeplugsa13Afusemustbefittedeither
intheplugoradaptororinthemainfusebox.Ifindoubt
contactaqualifiedelectrician.

2.8 First use
Beforestartingtousetheproduct,makesurethatall
preparations are made in accordance with the instructions in
sections"Importantsafetyinstructions"and"Installation".
To prepare the product for washing laundry, perform first
operationinCotton-90programme.Beforestartingthe
programme,putmax.100gofpowderanti-limescaleinto
themainwashdetergentcompartment(compartmentnr.II).
Iftheanti-limescaleisintabletform,putonlyonetabletinto
compartmentnr.II.Drytheinsideofthebellowwithaclean
piece of cloth after the programme has come to an end.

Useananti-limescalesuitableforthewashingmachines.
Somewatermighthaveremainedintheproductduetothequality
controlprocessesintheproduction.Itisnotharmfulfortheproduct.
2.9 Disposing of packaging material

packaging materials in a safe place away from reach of the
children.
Packagingmaterialsoftheproductaremanufacturedfrom

3 Preparation
3.1 Things to be done for energy saving
Following information will help you use the product in an
ecologicalandenergy-efficientmanner.
• Operatetheproductinthehighestcapacityallowedbythe
programmeyouhaveselected,butdonotoverload;see,
"Programmeandconsumptiontable".
• Alwaysfollowtheinstructionsonthedetergentpackaging.
• Washslightlysoiledlaundryatlowtemperatures.
• Usefasterprogrammesforsmallquantitiesoflightlysoiled
laundry.
• Donotusehightemperaturesforlaundrythatisnotheavily
soiled or stained.
• Donotusedetergentinexcessoftheamount
recommended on the detergent package.
3.2 Sorting the laundry
• Sortlaundryaccordingtotypeoffabric,colour,anddegree
ofsoilingandallowablewatertemperature.
• Alwaysobeytheinstructionsgivenonthegarmenttags.
3.3 Preparing laundry for washing
• Laundryitemswithmetalattachmentssuchas,underwired
bras,beltbucklesormetalbuttonswilldamagethe
machine.Removethemetalpiecesorwashtheclothesby
puttingtheminalaundrybagorpillowcase.
• Takeoutallsubstancesinthepocketssuchascoins,pens
andpaperclips,andturnpocketsinsideoutandbrush.
Suchobjectsmaydamagetheproductorcausenoise
problem.
• Putsmallsizeclothessuchasinfant'ssocksandnylon
stockingsinalaundrybagorpillowcase.
• Placecurtainsinwithoutcompressingthem.Remove
curtain attachment items.
• Fastenzippers,sewloosebuttonsandmendripsand
tears.
• Wash“machinewashable”or“handwashable”labeled
products only with an appropriate programme.
• Donotwashcoloursandwhitestogether.New,dark
coloured cottons release a lot of dye. Wash them
separately.
• Toughstainsmustbetreatedproperlybeforewashing.If
unsure, check with a dry cleaner.
• Useonlydyes/colourchangersandlimescaleremovers
suitableformachinewash.Alwaysfollowtheinstructions
on the package.
• Washtrousersanddelicatelaundryturnedinsideout.
• KeeplaundryitemsmadeofAngorawoolinthefreezerfor
afewhoursbeforewashing.Thiswillreducepilling.
• Laundrythataresubjectedtomaterialssuchasflour,lime
dust,milkpowder,etc.intenselymustbeshakenoffbefore
placing into the machine. Such dusts and powders on the
laundrymaybuildupontheinnerpartsofthemachinein
time and can cause damage.
3.4 Correct load capacity
The maximum load capacity depends on the type of laundry,
the degree of soiling and the washing programme desired.
The machine automatically adjusts the amount of water
according to the weight of the loaded laundry.
AWARNING
Followtheinformationinthe“Programmeandconsumptiontable”.
When overloaded, machine’s washing performance will drop.
Moreover,noiseandvibrationproblemsmayoccur.

3.5 Loading the laundry
Opentheloadingdoor.Placelaundryitemslooselyintothe
machine.Pushtheloadingdoortocloseuntilyouheara
locking sound. Ensure that no items are caught in the door.

The loading door is locked while a programme is running. The door
canonlybeopenedawhileaftertheprogrammecomestoanend.
AWARNING
Incaseofmisplacingthelaundry,noiseandvibrationproblemsmay
occur in the machine.
3.6 Using detergent and softener
Detergent Drawer
The detergent drawer is composed of three compartments:
-(1)forprewash
-(2)formainwash
–(3)forsoftener
–(*)inaddition,thereissiphonpieceinthesoftener
compartment.

• Adddetergentandsoftenerbeforestartingthewashing
programme.
• Neveropenthedetergentdrawerwhilethewashing
programme is running!
• Whenusingaprogrammewithoutprewash,donotputany
detergentintotheprewashcompartment(compartmentnr.
1).
• Inaprogrammewithprewash,donotputliquiddetergent
intotheprewashcompartment(compartmentnr.1).
• Donotselectaprogrammewithprewashifyouareusinga
detergentbagordispensingball.Placethedetergentbag
orthedispensingballdirectlyamongthelaundryinthe
machine.
• Ifyouareusingliquiddetergent,donotforgettoplace
theliquiddetergentcupintothemainwashcompartment
(compartmentnr.2).
3.7 Choosing the detergent type
Thetypeofdetergenttobeuseddependsonthetypeand
colourofthefabric.
• Usedifferentdetergentsforcolouredandwhitelaundry.
• Washyourdelicateclothesonlywithspecialdetergents
(liquiddetergent,woolshampoo,etc.)usedsolelyfor
delicate clothes.
• Whenwashingdarkcolouredclothesandquilts,itis
recommendedtouseliquiddetergent.
• Washwoolenswithspecialdetergentmadespecificallyfor
woolens.
AWARNING
Useonlydetergentsmanufacturedspecificallyforautomatic
washing machines.
DonotusePowderedSoap.
3.8 Adjusting detergent amount
Theamountofwashingdetergenttobeuseddependsonthe
amount of laundry, the degree of soiling and water hardness.
Readthemanufacturer'sinstructionsonthedetergent
package carefully and follow the dosage values.
• Donotuseamountsexceedingthedosagequantities
recommendedonthedetergentpackagetoavoidproblems
of excessive foam, poor rinsing, financial savings and
finally, environmental protection.
• Uselesserdetergentforsmallamountsorlightlysoiled
clothes.
• Useconcentrateddetergentsintherecommendeddosage.
3.9 Using softeners
Pourthesoftenerintothesoftenercompartmentofthe
detergent drawer.
• Usethedosagesrecommendedonthepackage.
• Donotexceedthe(>max<)levelmarkinginthesoftener
compartment.
• Ifthesoftenerhaslostitsfluidity,diluteitwithwaterbefore
putting it in the detergent drawer.
Using bleaches
• Selectaprogrammewithprewashandaddthebleaching
agentatthebeginningoftheprewash.Donotput
detergent in the prewash compartment.
• Donotusebleachingagentanddetergentbymixingthem.
• Usejustalittleamount(approx.50ml)ofbleachingagent
and rinse the clothes very well as it causes skin irritation.
Donotpourthebleachingagentontotheclothesanddo
not use it for coloured clothes.
• Whenusingoxygenbasedbleaches,followtheinstructions
on the package and select a programme that washes at a
lower temperature.
• Oxygenbasedbleachescanbeusedtogetherwith
detergents; however, if its thickness is not the same with
the detergent, put the detergent first into the compartment
nr."II"inthedetergentdrawerandwaituntilthedetergent
flows while the machine is taking in water. Add the
bleachingagentfromthesamecompartmentwhilethe
machine is still taking in water.
Using limescale remover

with a “Standby Mode”
Incaseofnotstartinganyprogrammeorwaitingwithout
making any other operation when the machine is turned on
byOn/Offbuttonandwhileitisinselectionsteporifnoother
operationisperformedapproximately2minutesafterthe
programme you selected has come to an end, your machine
willautomaticallyswitchtoenergysavingmode.Brightnessof
indicatorlightswilldecrease.Also,ifyourproductisequipped
with a display showing the programme duration, this display
willcompletelyturnoff.IncaseofrotatingtheProgramme
Selectionknoborpressinganybutton,lightsanddisplay
willrestoretotheirpreviouscondition.Yourselectionsmade
whileexitingtheenergysavingmodemaychange.Check

5 Maintenance and cleaning
Servicelifeoftheproductextendsandfrequentlyfaced

5.1 Cleaning the detergent drawer
Cleanthedetergentdraweratregularintervals(every
4-5washingcycles)asshownbelowinordertoprevent
accumulation of powder detergent in time.
Pressthedottedpointonthesiphoninthesoftener
compartment and pull towards you until the compartment is
removed from the machine.
CINFORMATIONS
Ifmorethannormalamountofwaterandsoftenermixturestartsto
gatherinthesoftenercompartment,thesiphonmustbecleaned.
Wash the detergent drawer and the siphon with plenty of
lukewarmwaterinawashbasin.Wearprotectiveglovesoruse
anappropriatebrushtoavoidtouchingoftheresiduesinthe
drawerwithyourskinwhencleaning.Insertthedrawerback
into its place after cleaning and make sure that it is seated
well.
5.2 Cleaning the loading door and the drum
For products with drum cleaning programme, please see
Operatingtheproduct-Programmes.
Forproductswithoutdrumcleaning,followthebelowsteps to
clean the drum:
Select Additional Water or Extra Rinse auxiliary functions.
UseaCottons programme withoutpre-wash.Set the
temperature to the level recommended on the drum
cleaning agent which can be provided from authorized
services. Apply this procedure without any laundry in
the product. Beforestartingtheprogramme,put1pouchof
specialdrumcleaningagent(ifthespecialagentcouldnotbe
supplied,putmax.100gofpowderanti-limescale)intothe
mainwashdetergentcompartment(compartmentno.“2”).If
theanti-limescaleisintabletform,putonlyonetabletintothe
mainwashcompartmentno.“2”.Drytheinsideofthebellow
with a clean piece of cloth after the programme has come to
an end.

5.4 Cleaning the water intake filters
There is a filter at the end of each water intake valve at the
rear of the machine and also at the end of each water intake
hose where they are connected to the tap. These filters
preventforeignsubstancesanddirtinthewatertoenterthe
washingmachine.Filtersshouldbecleanedastheydoget
dirty.
Closethetaps.Removethenutsofthewaterintakehoses
toaccessthefiltersonthewaterintakevalves.Cleanthem
withanappropriatebrush.Ifthefiltersaretoodirty,takethem
outbymeansofpliersandcleanthem.Takeoutthefilters
on the flat ends of the water intake hoses together with the
gaskets and clean thoroughly under running water. Replace
the gaskets and filters carefully in their places and tighten the
hosenutsbyhand.
5.5 Draining remaining water and
cleaning the pump filter
The filter system in your machine prevents solid items such
asbuttons,coinsandfabricfiberscloggingthepumpimpeller
duringdischargeofwashingwater.Thus,thewaterwillbe
dischargedwithoutanyproblemandtheservicelifeofthe
pump will extend.
Ifthemachinefailstodrainwater,thepumpfilterisclogged.
Filtermustbecleanedwheneveritiscloggedorinevery3
months.Watermustbedrainedofffirsttocleanthepump
filter.
Inaddition,priortotransportingthemachine(e.g.,when
movingtoanotherhouse)andincaseoffreezingofthewater,
watermayhavetobedrainedcompletely.

Foreignsubstancesleftinthepumpfiltermaydamageyour
machineormaycausenoiseproblem.
Inordertocleanthedirtyfilteranddischargethewater:
Unplugthemachinetocutoffthesupplypower.

Temperatureofthewaterinsidethemachinemayriseupto90ºC.
Toavoidburningrisk,filtermustbecleanedafterthewaterinthe
machine cools down.
Openthefiltercoverbypullingitfrombothsidesatthetop.
CINFORMATIONS
Youcanremovethefiltercoverbyslightlypushingdownwardswith
athinplastictippedtool,throughthegapabovethefiltercover.Do
not use metal tipped tools to remove the cover.
Followthestepsbelowtodischargethewater.
Placealargecontainerinfrontofthefiltertocatchwater
fromthefilter.Loosenpumpfilter(anticlockwise)untilwater
starts to flow. Fill the flowing water into the container you
have placed in front of the filter. Always keep a piece of cloth

machineisfinished,takeoutthefiltercompletelybyturningit.
Cleananyresiduesinsidethefilteraswellasfibers,ifany,
