WARNING:
The HPP2K pump is for use only with pre-charged pneumatic air
guns. Do not use on other products.
1.0 Assembling the Pump (requires a Phillips screwdriver)
1.1 Attach the base plate to the pump base housing with the 2 flat head screws
provided. Position the plate with the countersunk recesses opposite the hous-
ing so the screw heads do not protrude above the base plate when secured.
Orient the base plate so the direction of the hose is opposite the portions of the
base plate that the operator will stand on. See Figure 2A.
1.2 Attach the handle to the top of the tube with the 2 long screws provided.

2.0 Operation
2.1 Attach the hose to the gun to be filled using the quick disconnect coupling.
2.2 Close the pump bleed screw on the base of the pump turning in a clockwise direction.

2.3 Pump to fill the air reservoir until the desired pressure is reached. Pressure should not ex
ceed the recommended pressure of the pre-charged pneumatic airgun or exceed the pump
rating of 3600 PSI.
2.4 Open the pump bleed screw to relieve the pressure in the hose. Air will rush out of a small
hole next to the bleed screw and the pressure gauge should read zero.
WARNING:
Do not disconnect the hose under pressure (Gauge indicating higher
than 0). Disconnecting the hose under pressure could cause damage to the hose fitting
and personal injury to the operator.
2.5 Disconnect the hose (make certain the hose is bled via the bleed screw and the pressure gauge
reads 0 before disconnecting).
3.0 Maintenance and Care of the HPP2K
•TheHPP2Kpumprequiresnoadditionallubrication.
•Thepumpshouldbekeptdryandclean.
•Storethepumpindoorsawayfromextremetemperatures.
•DO NOTusesolventsofanykindonpartsofthepump.Mildhouseholdcleanersareacceptableonthe
paintedportionsofthepumpandhandleassembly.
•DO NOTwipeoffthelmoflubricantonthemainpumpcylinder.Itisnormalandwillservetolubricate
the pump seals and guard against premature wear of the pump seals.
4.0 Trouble Shooting
Problem noticed:
•Thepumpfailstoreachdesiredpressure.
•Pressurebuildingupandthenfallingoffwhilepumping.
•Slowerthannormalbuildupofpressure(basedonpriorexperiencewiththepump).
Allofthemodesdescribedabovemaybetheresultofanairleak.Toidentifythelocationoftheleak
perform the following:
4.1Checkrstthatthebleedscrewisproperlyclosed.
4.2 With the pump attached to the gun and pressure showing on the pump gauge, check for leaks at the
hosettingsbyapplyingasmallamountofsoapywaterattheconnections.
4.3 In the event a leak is detected at a fitting connection, bleed the pressure from the pump and
disconnectfromthegun.Tightentheleakinghosettingconnectionslightlytoeliminatetheleak.
4.4Reattachthepumpandtrypressurizingagaintodetectleaksasdescribedininstructionnumber4.2.
4.5Ifattingconnectionisstillleakingafterre-tightening,thethreadsealantmaybedamaged.Teon
sealing tape is recommended for use on these fittings. Disassemble the leaking fitting, remove all old
sealingtape,thenapply2-3fullwrapsofTeontapetothemalethread.Reassemble,tighteningthe
ttingmoderately.Donotovertighten.Ifatorquewrenchisavailable,torquethettingto55inchlbs.
4.6 Reattach the pump and pressurize again to detect leaks as described in instruction number 4.2.
If corrective measures described above fail to eliminate the pump failure, call Crosman customer service at
1-800-7AIRGUN (1-800-724-7486).
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q- Can the pump be used for other filling tasks other than PCP airguns and PCP bottles i.e. bicycle tires, etc.?
A- Crosman does NOT recommend using the pump for applications other than what the pump was
designed for. The extreme pressures the pump is capable of producing could cause damage to other
pressurized items and personal injury.
Q- How many strokes should it take to fill my Benjamin Discovery to the recommended 2000 psi?
A- In tests performed at Crosman corporation starting with a completely uncharged Discovery airgun,
approximately 110 strokes were required to reach 2000 psi. Your results may vary due to factors such
as completely performing every pump stroke and seal condition of the pump.
Q- Can I use the pump to bleed air from the pressure tube in my Benjamin Discovery?
A- No, you cannot bleed down the airgun using the pump. A check valve in the gun’s fill adapter is
activated by pressure in the tube and will not leak back down when the pump is attached.
Q- There is a film of oil on the main pump cylinder. Is the pump leaking?
A- After operating the pump, a film of lubricant will be evident on the main pump cylinder. This is normal
and serves as a lubricant to guard the seals against premature wear. DO NOT wipe it off. ONLY wipe
off the oil that may accumulate at the union of the cylinder and the pump base.

1.0 Ensamblado de la bomba (requiere un desarmador Phillips)
1.1 Conecte la placa base a la base de la bomba con los dos tornillos de
cabeza plana incluidos. Posicione la placa con los huecos avellanados del lado
opuesto del gabinete, de modo que las cabezas de los tornillos no sobresalgan
por encima de la placa base al apretarse. Oriente la placa base de modo que la

2.0 Operación
2.1 Conecte la manguera al rifle que se va a llenar utilizando el acoplamiento de
desconexión rápida.
2.2 Cierre el tornillo purgador de la base de la bomba en el sentido de las manecillas
del reloj. (Figura 3)
2.3Bombeeparallenareldepósitodeairehastaqueselleguealapresióndeseada.Lapresión
no debe superar la presión recomendada del rifle de aire neumático precargado, ni superar
el valor nominal de la bomba de 3600 PSI.
2.4 Abra el tornillo de purga de la bomba para aliviar la presión de la manguera. Saldrá aire por el pequeño orificio
queestájuntoaltornillodepurgayelmanómetrodebeindicarcero.
No desconecte la manguera cuando esté bajo presión (cuando
el manómetro indique un valor superior a 0). Desconectar la manguera cuando esté
bajo presión puede ocasionarles daños al conector de la manguera y lesiones person-
ales al operario.
2.5 Desconecte la manguera (cerciórese de que la manguera esté purgada usando el tornillo de purga y
que el manómetro indique 0 antes de desconectar).
3.0 Mantenimiento y cuidado de la HPP2K

4.0 Identificación y solución de problemas
Problema observado:
•Labombanollegaalapresióndeseada.
•Lapresiónaumentayluegocaemientrassebombea.
•Acumulacióndepresiónmáslentadelonormal(segúnlaexperienciapreviaconlabomba).
Todoslosmodosdescritosarribapuedenserproductodeunafugadeaire.Paraidenticarlaubicacióndelafuga,
haga lo siguiente:
4.1Compruebeprimeroqueeltornillodepurgaestédebidamentecerrado.
4.2Conlabombaconectadaalrieyobservandolapresiónenelmanómetrodelabomba,compruebequenohaya
fugas en los conectores de la manguera aplicando una pequeña cantidad de agua jabonosa en las conexiones.
4.3Encasodequesedetecteunafugaenunconector,purguelapresióndelabombaydesconécteladelrie.
Apriete ligeramente el conector de la manguera que tiene la fuga, para eliminarla.
4.4Vuelvaaconectarlabombaeintentepresurizarlanuevamenteparadetectarfugas,comosedescribeen
la instrucción número 2.
4.5Silaconexiónsigueteniendofugadespuésdevolveraapretarla,elselladordelaroscapuedeestardañado.
SerecomiendalacintadeselladodeTeónparasuusoenestasconexiones.Desensambleelconectorquetiene
lafuga,quitetodalacintadeselladoviejayaplique2ó3vueltascompletasdecintadeTeónalaroscamacho.
Vuelvaaensamblarla,apretandomoderadamenteelconector.Noaprieteenexceso.Sihaydisponibleunallavede
torsión, apriete el conector a un par de 55 pulgadas lbs.
4.6Vuelvaaconectarlabombaypresuríceladenuevoparadetectarfugas,comosedescribeenlainstrucción
número 4.2.

Preguntas más frecuentes:
P- ¿La bomba puede usarse para otras tareas de llenado que las de los rifles de aire PCP y las botellas PCP,
como ruedas de bicicleta, etc.?
R- Crosman NO recomienda usar la bomba para aplicaciones distintas de aquéllas para las que se diseñó la
bomba. Las presiones extremas que es capaz de producir la bomba podrían ocasionarle daños a otros artículos
presurizados y causar lesiones personales.
P- ¿Cuántos recorridos debería tomar el llenado de mi Benjamin Discovery a los 2000 psi recomendados?
R- En pruebas realizadas en Crosman Corporation, comenzando con un rifle de aire Discovery totalmente
descargado, se requirieron aproximadamente 110 recorridos para llegar a los 2000 psi. Sus resultados pueden
variar debido a factores como realizar completamente todos los recorridos de la bomba y la condición del sellado
de la misma.
P- ¿Puedo usar la bomba para purgar el aire del tubo de presión de mi Benjamin Discovery?
R- No, no puede purgar el rifle de aire con la bomba. Una válvula reguladora en el adaptador de llenado del rifle
se activa por la presión en el tubo y no se fugará de vuelta hacia atrás cuando está conectada la bomba.
P- Hay una película de aceite en el cilindro principal de la bomba. ¿La bomba tiene una fuga?
R- Después de hacer funcionar la bomba, será visible una película de aceite en el cilindro principal de la bomba.
Esto es normal y sirve como lubricante para resguardar los sellos contra el desgaste prematuro. NO lo limpie.
SÓLO limpie el aceite que pueda acumularse en la unión del cilindro y la base de la bomba.
