Beresford DORADO II Power Supply Enhancer (REV1.0)
DESCRIPTION
The Dorado II is a highly advanced next generation product that is designed to enhance
the capability of any linear power supply that is used with our previous and existing
products. The Dorado II is capable of providing a far steadier load than a battery, with
no charging time power supply ripple that mains connected power supplies require. This
produces a more advanced power option for the device being driven by the Dorado II,
which in turn can make dramatic improvements to the sound you hear.
SAFETY CONSIDERATION
1. The Dorado II has been designed to work with our own electronic products, which were
designed to draw very low current. The Dorado has therefore been limited to draw no
more than 250mA from the mains connected feeder power supply. The Dorado should
therefore not be used to power other products that require more than 250mA and 15V
DC.
2. Do not short circuit any of the inputs or outputs on the Dorado.
3. Switch OFF the Dorado when not in use or when plugging or unplugging cables or
devices connected to it.
CONNECTION METHODS and OPERATION
When using the Dorado II charger.
The Dorado is continuously charged up to 15Volt even though the charger is marked as
12V.
1. Switch off the mains at the socket where you intend to plug the PSU into the
mains.
2. Toggle the ON/OFF switch on the Dorado II to the OFF position.
3. Plug the charger into the DC INPUT socket on the back of the Dorado.
4. Plug one end of the DC to DC cable into the OUTPUT socket of the Dorado.
5. Plug the other end of the DC to DC cable into the DC socket of the audio
equipment you wish to use the Dorado II with.
6. Plug the Dorado II charger into the mains socket.
7. Switch on the mains at the mains socket.
8. Switch ON the Dorado II. The LED on the front panel should turn red after a few
seconds. Wait for several minutes until the LED turns BLUE.
9. You can now switch on your Dorado II powered audio equipment.

When using your own 15Volt PSU
1. Switch off the mains at the socket where you intend to plug the PSU into the
mains.
2. Toggle the ON/OFF switch on the Dorado II to the OFF position.
3. Insert the DC output plug on the 15V PSU into the DC INPUT socket on the back
of the Dorado II.
4. Plug one end of the DC to DC cable into the OUTPUT socket of the Dorado II.
5. Plug the other end of the DC to DC cable into the DC socket of the audio
equipment you wish to use the Dorado with.
6. Plug the mains plug of your 15V PSU into the mains socket.
7. Switch on the mains at the mains socket.
8. Switch ON the Dorado II. The LED on the front panel should turn red after a few
seconds. Wait for up to a minute until the LED turns BLUE.
9. You can now switch on your Dorado II powered audio equipment.
