a) Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided on the circuits or outlet to be used for the outdoor use flexible lighting product.
Receptacles are available that have built-in GFCI protection for this measure of safety.
b) Only use outdoor extension cords such as type SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, STOOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW,SJOOW,
SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW. This designation is marked on the wire of the extension cord.
•Read and follow all instructions that are on the product or provided with the product.
•This product operates via 2200MAH Litihium 3.7V/1.5W solar panel. Do not operate with any other power supply.
•This product is not linkable. Do not connect more than one string light to the solar panel.
•Do not attempt to alter the product in any way.
•This seasonal use product is not intended for permanent installation or use.
•Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, or other similar sources of heat.
•Do not mount the string light or solar panel in or near running or standing water or near drains of any kind.
•Do not mount directly over pools, fountains, or other bodies of water. Ensure string light is mounted at least 5 feet (1.52 meters) away from the edge of any pools, fountains,
or other bodies ofwater.
•Do not secure the wiring of the product with staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks or nails.
•Do not let lamps rest on the supply cord or on anywire.
•The supply cord and string light must not be subject to push, pull, or other torsion forces.
•This is an electric product and is not a toy! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury, and electric shock, it should not be played with or placed where small children can
reach it.
•Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
•Do not hang ornaments or other objects from cord, wire, or light string.
•Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords as this may damage the wire insulation.
•Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part of the product when in use.
CAUTION: The solar panel contains lithium Ion rechargeable batteries. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Do not
dispose of batteries in fire. Use only Lithium Ion 18650 batteries (includes 1 rechargeable battery). Do not mix battery types.
WARNING - KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN! Batteries are not a toy!
The remote control included utilizes a 3V CR2025 battery; If swallowed, it could cause severe injury or death in just 2 hours due to chemical burns and potential perforation
of the esophagus. If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately seek urgent medical assistance. Do not dispose of batteries in fire as
they may explode or leak. Please dispose of used batteries immediately and safely. Only replace with the same battery type.
WARNING:
- Adverse conditions of cold, extreme cold, extreme heat plus humidity and dampness may affect battery performance.
- Do not open, short circuit, or mutilate batteries as injury may occur.
- Batteries must be recycled or disposed ofproperly.
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove batteries from equipment when not in use for an extended period of time.

FCC Radiation Exposure Statement:
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. In order to
avoid the possibility of exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, Human proximity to the antenna shall not
be less than 20cm (8 inches) during normal operation
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
•Be careful not to damage or cut the wire insulation (covering) during fixture installation. Do not permit power cord or
wires to contact any surface having a sharp edge. To do so may damage or cut the wire insulation, which could cause
serious injury or death from electricshock.
•String light sockets must be suspended so that lamps are facing downwards. DO NOT mount the light string withsockets
facing upward. Lamps should hang freely with at least 3 inches of space from nearest object.
•Solar panel should be installed in an area that received direct sunlight. The solar panel will produce more hours of
operation when installed in an area which is free from cover, shade, orshadowing.
1. Carefully remove all the parts
from the packaging and check to
ensure there are no cuts ornicks
in the string light (A) nordamage
to the pre-attached lamps.
Ensure all bulb lenses are
securely fastened.
2. Determine the desiredlocation
of the string light (A) and the solar
panel (B). Ensure the mounting
location and solar panel arewithin
reach of each other without
causing strain to cables.
3. Insert the soil mount stake (C)
into the solar panel (B).
4. Ensure the connection
between the solar panel (B) and
the string light (A) is fully seated.
5. Securely attach string light(A)
to a support structure using
the eyelet holes at the top of
each suspended socket and
appropriate supportinghardware
(eyebolts, brackets, etc. not
included).
6. Mount the solar panel (B) by
gently pushing the soil mount
stake (C) into the ground.
Note: Do not use a hammer.If
the ground is hard, use waterto
soften. Do not press down on the
solar panel. This can damage
the light.
7. Loosen the solar panel (B)
knob in a counter-clockwise
motion. Adjust the angle of the
solar panel (B) to desiredposition
for optimal sunlightexposure.
Re-tighten the knob tosecure
in place.
8. The solar panel (B) requires
6 hours of light for full charge.
There is also a 5V Micro USB
charging port on the back ofthe
solar panel (B). The solar
panel (B) will have 6-8operating
hours from a full charge.

OPERATIONINSTRUCTIONS
SOLAR PANELOPERATION
Charging Port 5V Micro USB: Open the siliconecover.
When charging: RED light indicates ON, GREEN light indicates FINISH. The light is displayed on the left side of the panel.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
•When the product is placed on a live tree, the tree should be well maintainedand
fresh. Do not place on live trees in which the needles are brown and break off easily.
Keep the tree holder filled withwater.
•If the product is placed on a tree, the tree should be well secured andstable.
•Before using or reusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any products that havecut,
damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in the lamp-holders or enclosures,
loose connections, or exposed copperwire.
•When storing the product, carefully remove the product from wherever it isplaced,
including trees, branches, or bushes in order to avoid any undue strain or stress on the
product conductors, connections, andwires.
•When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected fromsunlight.
•Replacing the battery: Use a screwdriver to unscrewthe
battery cover and replace the battery, then re-assemblethe
unit. Use only Lithium Ion 18650 rechargeable batterytype
(3.7V 2200mAh).
IMPORTANT: Dispose of the battery in accordancewith
local, state, and federal regulations.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1) The light does not come on atall:
a) Power off and make sure all lamps are tightlysecured.
b) Ensure the string light is securely fastened to the solarpanel.
2) The nightly run time is shorter thannormal.
a) The battery is not fully charged. Ensure the solar panel is located in an area where it can receive the
maximum amount of full, direct sunlight every day. Keeping the solar panel clean is equally important to
ensure the maximum chargingperformance.
b) The battery is reaching the end of its useful life. Replace with Lithium Ion 18650 rechargeable batteries.
3) The solar light does not turn on atnight.
a) The solar light is installed too close to other light sources, which may keep the solar light fromturning
on at night. Relocate the fixture or eliminate the other lightsources.
4) Micro USB is not charging the solarpanel.
a) Check the USB plug for dirt of defects. Make sure the plug is properly inserted.
b) The battery may be weak or can no longer produce a charge. Replace the battery.
5) Solar light is not responding to remote control.
a) Remote control battery is at the end of its life. Replace with appropriate battery type.
b) Solar light is not receiving signal from remote control. Ensure remote control is pointed at stringlight
within appropriate signaldistance.
If unable to fix any of the above issues, please consult a certified electrician.
90-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY: This Better Home & Garden™brand string light carries a 90-Day Limited Warranty to the original purchaser. If, during normal
use, this Better Home & Garden™string light fails due to a defect in material and workmanship within ninety (90) days from the date of purchase, simply bring this string light
with your original sales receipt back to your nearest Wal-MartTM retail store. At its discretion, Better Home & Garden™agrees to have the string light replaced with the same
or similar Better Home & Garden™product free of charge, within the stated warranty period, when returned by the original purchaser with original sales receipt.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, this limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by misuse or abuse including but not limited to improper installation, accident,
unauthorized repair, maintenance, or modifications of the merchandise. This warranty: (1) excludes expendable parts including but not limited to light bulbs, batteries; (2) carries
a 90-day finish warranty protecting finish against tarnishing, flaking, and discoloration; (3) shall be void if this rope light is not installed in the U.S.A; (4) does not cover
products installed within three miles of saltwater coastline or any area prone to salt spray; and (5) does not cover any losses, labor, injuries to persons/property or costs. This
warranty does give you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Be careful, it is recommended that installation be done by a qualified
professional; the purchaser has sole responsibility for proper installation in compliance with all state and local code requirements. Seller’s employees are not qualified to advise
you on the use of this Merchandise. Any oral representation(s) made will not be binding on seller or its employees. The rights under this limited warranty are to the original
purchaser of the Merchandise and may not be transferred to any subsequent owner. This limited warranty is in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied including warranties or
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Seller shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages. The sole exclusive remedy against the seller
will be for the replacement of any defects as provided herein, as long as the seller is willing or able to replace this product or is willing to refund the purchase price as provided
above.
