Remote control operating range

General Operation
Switching on and off
1. Press to turn on the unit.
2. Press SRC once or more to select your
desiredfunction:Aux(Aux-in),I-MODE,BT
MUSIC,Tuner(Radio),DISC,USB,CARD.
3. Long press againtopoweroff.
4.When you switch off the system or car
ignition,thesettings,tuner presetsandthe
volumelevelwillberetainedintheunit's
memory.
Clock Display
Press DISP on the panel or on the remote
controltodisplayclocktime,andpressDISP
againtoexit.

1. Press DISPmorethan2seconds,hour
displayblinks, then rotatetheknob to set
hour.
2. Press the VOLknobtoconrm,andminute

General Operation
Menu Setting
Press the VOL knob more than 2 seconds
toenterintomenumode,theneachpress
changes the mode.
- EQ Mode
TheEqualizerfunctionappliespresetsound
effects to the unit’s audio output signal. Rotate
theknobtoselectEQsoundeffect:
FLAT-CLASSIC-ROCK-POP-JAZZ-USER
Withtheequalizerfunctionactivated,ifbassor
trebleisadjusted,theEQModewill revertto
“Off”.Whentheequalizerfunctionisactivated,
themostrecentlyselectedbass/treblelevels
cannotbeadjusted.When theequalizer
functionisnotactive,theunitwillreturntothe
mostrecentlyselectedbassandtreblelevels.
- LOUD ON/ OFF
When listening tomusicat low volumes,this
featurewillselectivelyboostcertainbassand
treble frequencies.
- BEEP ON/ OFF
Thebeeptonefeatureallowstheselection of
an audible beep tone to be heard each time
the menu is accessed.
- SUBW ON/ OFF
Rotatetheknobtochoosesubwoofer-outon
or off.
- 12 /24 HOURS Mode
12 HOURS MODE:
The clock displays in the type of 12 hours such
as 11:18 AM.
24 HOURS MODE:
The clock displays in the type of 24 hours such
as 20:18.
- MONO/STEREO
Selectable when the current source is Radio
mode.
Thisoptionallowsyoutoselect radio FM
mono/stereo.
- AREA SET
Thisoptionallowsyoutoselecttheappropriate
frequency spacing for your area.

iPhone Operation
Accessing iPhone mode
Press the SRCbuttononthefrontpanelorremotecontroltoswitchtotheI-MODE source.
Audio
Pausing play
Press the [ 1 ] button on the front panel or the [ ] button on the remote control to pause play.
Selecting a track
Track-up
1. Press the [ ] button to move to the beginning of the next track.
2. Each time you press the [ ] button, the track advances to the beginning of the next track.
Track-down
1. Press the [ ] button to move back to the beginning of the current track.
2. Press the [ ] button twice to move back to the beginning of the previous track.
Receive
After iPhone connected, if there is a call incoming, Press [ 1 ] button to receive. Press [ 1 ] button again to hang up.
SIRI ( only for iPhone 4S and higher version )
1. Press the knob to turn on the SIRI function.
2. Press the [ 1] button to turn off the SIRI function.

Selecting a Band
Press BAND once or more to select FM1 -
FM2 - FM3 - AM1 - AM2.
Displayshowswaveband,frequency,and
preset station number if already stored.
Selecting a Station
Press the or tuning button to tune to
another station.

- AUTO SEEK
Press the or buttonstoseekthenext/
previousstationautomatically.
- MANUAL SEEK
Press and hold the or buttons to enter
manual tuning mode. Press the buttons again

Preset Mode

2. Press AMS briefly to search all stations in
the band,the6strongestavailablestation
willbeautomaticallysavedinthepreset
button(numbers1-6).

Accessing Disc Mode
If a disc is already in the disc slot but is not
playing,presstheSRC button on the front
panelorontheremotecontroltoswitchtothe
DISCsource.ToplaylesfromanSDorUSB
that is already inserted, choose the CARD
or USB source. The disc playback screen is
indicatedbelow:

1. Loading SD/MMC Card
Insert the SD/MMC card into the slot.
Theunitwillplaythemusicautomaticallyandthe LCDwillshow

MMCcard,takeoutthecardwhenitwaspoppedout.
3. Loading USB equipment
Opentherubbercap,inserttheUSBintotheconnectorandtheunit
playthemusicintheUSBstorerautomatically,and theLCD will
showUSB.
4. Take out USB equipment
PushtheSRCbuttonandswitchtononUSBmode,thentakeoffthe
USBstorer,closetherubbercap.

Insert a Disc
Insertthediscintotheslot, andthe unitwill

Eject the Disc
Press to eject the disc.

off. The unit remains off after the disc is

Bit Rates

MP3 Playing Order
When selected for play, files and folders
(FolderSearch,FileSearchorFolderSelect)
areaccessedinthe orderinwhichtheywere
writtentothemedia.Asa result,the orderin
whichtheyareexpectedtobeplayedmay
notmatchtheorderinwhichtheyareactually
played. You may be able to set the order in
whichMP3/WMAfilesareto beplayed by
assigningfilenamesbeginningwithplay
sequence numbers such as "01" to "99". For
example,amediumwith thefollowing folder/
lehierarchyissubject toFolderSearch,File
SearchorFolderSelectasshownbelow.

Bluetooth Mode
Note:
Foryoursafety,avoidtalkingonthephoneas
muchaspossiblewhiledriving.
Bluetoothis awireless transmissionway
for short distance. The built-in Bluetooth
canconnectwiththemobilephoneshaving
Bluetooth function.
Afterconnecting,youcancontrolyour mobile
phone through the unit.
Pairing
Use this function to establish a connection
betweentheunitandyourmobilephone.
1. Press and hold SRCbuttonuntil“PAIRING”
appears on the LCD.
2. Turn on Bluetooth function of your mobile
phone,keepphonewithin 3metersto
the unit and start to search for Bluetooth
devices.
3. After the name of the Bluetooth module
“BETTER” appears on the pairing list of your
mobilephone,selectit.Atthistime,apairing
code is required. Enter the pairing code
(“1234”bydefault)andtheBluetoothpairing
willprocessautomatically.Some mobile
phones may instruct you to select connect
ordisconnect,pleaseselectconnecting.
Exit Pairing
After pair successfully, ifyouwantto
disconnect,pressandholdSRC button until
“PAIR OUT“ appears on the LCD.
Make a Call
Afterpairsuccessfully, pressSRC button
repeatedly to select BT MUSICsource,press
button to dial the last number you called.
Receive
1. After pair successfully, if there is a call
incoming,theunitswitchtoBTMUSICmode
automatically.
2. Press to receive.
3. Press to hang up.
Voice Transfer
During talking, press button to transfer audio
from the unit to your mobile phone.
Note:
Some mobile phones will transfer audio from
the unit to themselves once the incoming call
is answered.
BT Audio
(if the mobile phone has the A2DP & AVRCP
functions)
Afterpairsuccessfully,open the audio player
and set the transmission mode to Bluetooth.
The audio will be transferred from the mobile
phone to the unit. Some mobile phones may
hint that to connect with the unit. After found
the Bluetooth device name “BLUETOOTH” on
mobile phone, you should select to connect
it, and then input the pairing code (“1234” by
default). When music playback, touch to
play/pause, and press / key on the
front panel or remote control to previous/next
track (if the options are available).

Bluetooth Mode
Auto Connect
Press the knobtoentermainmenu,andselect
[AUTOON]or[AUTOOFF]inthemenu.
AUTO OFF: After paired OK, if the distance
between mobile phone and the unit is over 10
metres, the connection will exit. The Bluetooth
technology will not automatically establish a
connection.
AUTO ON: After paired OK, if the distance
between mobile phone and the unit is over 10
metres, the connection will exit. The Bluetooth
technology will automatically establish a
connection between the unit and the registered
mobile phone when the transmission distance
is 10 metres or shorter.
Whether the automatic connection is ON or
OFF, when power is off then on again, the unit
Bluetooth will connect the mobile phone (if the
Bluetooth function turning on) which is paired
OK last time.
Note:
1.Toconnectautomaticallyas shownabove,
the unit must connect the mobile phone
successfully before.
2.Theunitwilltrytoconnectthemobilephone
pairedwhenon,mostmobilephone will
connectautomatically,some needconnect
manuallyduetodifferentsoftwaresetting.
Music Mode
A2DP
A2DP is short for Advanced Audio Distribution
Profile. The mobile phones supporting this
function can transmit stereo audio, whereas
the ones not supporting this function can
transmit mono audio only.
AVRCP
AVRCP is short for Audio/Video Remote
Control Prole. The mobile phones supporting
this function can control the playback of a
Bluetooth audio player.
In the mode of the music player working, if you
want to make a phone call, disconnect A2DP,
otherwise the LCD will display “BUSY“ when
you dialing out.
General Notes for Bluetooth
1.ForN7X,N9X,PHILIPS,SonyEricssion,
SAMSUNGmobilephones,duringourtest,
after the mobile phones appear connection
successful,theunitstillappearwaiting for
pairing.Atthistimeyoumustndtheunit’s
Bluetoothmodulename“BLUETOOTH”on
the pairing list on your mobile phone and
selectconnectinginthesubmenu,thenthe
unitwillappearpairOK.Otherwise,thereis
novoicecomingoutwhencommunicating,
though the mobile phone has already
displayedpairOK.Somemobilephones,
suchasPHILIPS,whenitplaybacksA2DP,
youmustfindtheunit“BLUETOOTH”in
thephone’smenuandreconnect(check
yourmobilephonewhetherhastheA2DP&
AVRCPfunctions).
2.Whenpairing,sometypesofmobilephone
hintthathowtooperate,forexample,when
youmakeaphonecallbytheunit,ifthe
mobilephonevoicedosn’tbetransferred
totheunit,novoicecomes out.The
SAMSUNGmobilephonehints thatvoice
shouldbetransferredtoBluetoothdevice.
3.Dependingon themobile phone,ifprivate
modeisselected,when youmakeaphone
callbytheunit,orreceive,the voicewould
be transferred to the mobile phone. But
sometime the Bluetooth maybe disconnect
tillthecommunicationends,thenconnects
your mobile phone to the unit automtically.
Some mobile phones maybe need pair
again.
4.For mobile phone, the Bluetooth device
name must be primary symbols or numbers.
Otherwise,someunpredictableissues
mayoccurduringtheBluetoothdevices
connecting and making phone call.
5.After pairedOK,ifnosoundproduced,
pleasecheckwhetherthe Bluetoothstereo
audioonthephoneswitchedON.

You can play all the tracks in random order.

Anti-Theft System

Removing the Panel
1.Switchoffthepoweroftheunit.
2. Press buttontoipdownthepanel.
3. At an angle hold the panel to pull it out.
4. Place the panel into the case and take it
withyouwhenyouleavethecar.
Installing the Panel
1.Holdthe paneland ensurethepanelfaces
towardyou,andsettheright sideof the
panel in the panel bracket.
2. Press the left side of the panel until it locks.
Removing the Unit
1.Removethepanelandthetrimplate.
2.Insertbothremovalkeysintoholeonthe
front of the set until they lock.
3. Pull out the unit.

Important:Removethesetwoscrewsbeforeinstallation.Otherwise,theplayerwillnotwork.
1. Inset mounting collar into the dashboard, and bend the mounting tabs out with a screw-
driver.
Makesurethatlocklever isushwiththemountingcollar(notprojectingoutward).
2. Secure the rear of the unit.
Afterxingmountingboltandpowerconnector,xtherearoftheunittothecarbodybyrubber
cushion.
3. Insert trim plate.
Installation Procedures
Firstcompletetheelectricalconnections,and
then check for correctness.
Reset
Press buttontoflipdownthepanel.Then
press the RESETbuttonwithapointedobject
to reset the unit to the original status.
Note:PresstheRESETbuttonwillerasethe
clock and stored stations.
Installation Opening
This unit can be installed in any dashboard
havinganopeningasshownbelow.
The dashboard should be 4.75mm - 5.56mm
thick in order to be able to support the unit.
