The AP-DC is one of a range of products we offer specific to the
heritage marketplace. We are confident that we have other
products you will find useful and look forward to hearing from you
again soon.

The AutoPlay Double Cup headphone is an easily installed
headphone system which allows content to be played upon ‘pickup’
of the headphones.
The Headphone is supplied with a unique hanger, when removed
from this hanger content is triggered.

Connecting the AP-DC to our range of SoundClip audio players
couldn’t be easier.
The Hanger is responsible for activating content and must be
connected to the SoundClip like so;
1. Simply plug the activation wires
(black/yellow wires attached to the green
terminal block) into button 1.
2. Plug the power terminal (red) into the 12
V Out.
3. Now connect headphones by plugging
them into the the audio jack.
4. Then set the configuration dipswitch to 5 in the ‘on’ (down)
position.
See individual SoundClip user
manual for information on
programming content to be
activated. Essentially the handset
will now play content
programmed to activate upon
trigger of Button 1.

Connecting to the Videoclip player we need to use the I/O adapter
and connect the wires as follows:
Yellow trigger and
ground to one
connector, then the
blue is connected to the
other with the red wire.
The videoclip only
provides 5v power so
we use the Blue wire
for this connection.
Programming the videoclip and connections is included in the
videoclip manual. Please refer to the section on PIR Activation. The
Autoplay Double cup headphone works in the same way as a PIR
and is activated when lifted.

For use with your own device the hanger is supplied with 5 bare-
end cables;
Although designed primarily to be utilised alongside our own range
of media players, the AP-DC can be connected to a device of your
own (we recommend you check compatibility with us) - to do so
you must be aware of the following cable connections;
BLACK = Ground - Connect to controller
Depending on how unit triggers;
YELLOW = Trigger - contact is n/c
GREEN = Trigger - contact is n/o
Depending on how much power required;
RED = Power - 12v power consumption rated @ 50 milliamps
BLUE = Power - 5v Supply consumption rated @ 50 milliamps
Do not use 12v down a 5v line

The hanger needs to be mounted flush to a surface to allow the
headphones to sit securely - the headphone icon displayed on the
hanger should be installed right way up.
All headphones are supplied with a 90°knuckle which provides
additional stability to the armoured cable via it’s through panel
installation point.
A cutout for the knuckle will need to be made to the following
measurements (in mm).
This secures the otherwise weak point should the cable simply be
fed through a panel.
Not to scale
