ÝNotice :
=The dishwasher insta ation must be performed
in accordance with this insta ation manua . If you
did not receive an insta ation manua , order it by
ca ing BERNIE 800# or by down oad from the
internet WEB SITE ADDRESS).
=Insta ation and repair shou d be performed by a
qua ified insta er. Work by unqua ified persons
cou d be dangerous and may void the warranty.
=Do not operate the app iance if damaged,

=To reduce the risk of e ectric shock, fire, or injury
to persons, the insta er must ensure that the
dishwasher is comp ete y enc osed at the time of
insta ation.
=On y connect the dishwasher to the power supp y

=If the dishwasher is insta ed in a ocation that
experiences freezing temperatures (e.g. in a
vacation home, cabin, etc.), you must drain a
the water from the dishwashers interior. Water
system ruptures that occur as a resu t of freezing
are not covered by warranty.
=Dishwasher must be secured to adjacent cabinetry
using the brackets provided. Fai ure to do this
may cause damage to property or bodi y injury.
=Connect to a proper y rated, protected and sized
power supp y circuit to avoid e ectrica over oad.
The dishwasher is designed for an e ectrica supp y
of 120 V (vo ts), 60 Hz (hertz), AC, connected to
a dishwasher-dedicated, proper y grounded
e ectrica circuit with a fuse or breakers rated for
15 amperes. E ectrica supp y conductors sha
be a minimum of # 14 AWG copper wire rated at
75 °C (167 °F) or higher. These requirements
must be met to prevent injury and machine
damage. Consu t a qua ified e ectrician if in doubt.
=Do not use any extension cord or portab e out et
device to connect the dishwasher to a power
supp y.
=Ensure that any p astic wrappings, bags, sma
pieces etc. are disposed of safe y and kept out
of the reach of chi dren. Danger of suffocation!
=Remove the door to the washing compartment
when removing an o d dishwasher from service
or discarding it. Ensure that the app iance presents
no danger to chi dren whi e being stored for
disposa .

WARNING
To avoid electrical shock and/or a fire hazard, make
sure electrical work is properly installed. Only qualified
electricians should perform electrical work.
Before installation disconnect the power supply to the
work area by unplugging the unit, "tripping" the circuit
breaker or removing the fuse.
The installer has the responsibility of ensuring that the
dishwasher electrical installation is in compliance with
all national and local electrical codes and ordinances.
The dishwasher is designed for an electrical supply of
120 V, 60 Hz, A , connected to a dishwasher-dedicated,
properly grounded electrical circuit with a fuse or breaker
rated for 15 amperes.
WARNING
Electrical supply cords must be a minimum #14AWG
copper wire.

top.
Adjust the front foot eve with the adjusting wrench to ba ance
and raise the dishwasher to the enc osure height.
Adjust the rear foot eve with a screwdriver to ba ance and
raise the dishwasher to the enc osure height.
1. Remove the adhesive tape (Figure A).
P ace the trim strips on the front edge of the side wa s
(Figure B).

=Turning the screwdriver in the direction of the b ack arrows
wi bring the dishwasher back feet up.

Remove the junction box cover, by removing the screws as
shown in the figure. They wi be reinsta ed ater.
WARNING
Installation should be performed by a qualified installer.
Work by unqualified persons could be dangerous and
may void the warranty.
If the dishwasher is installed in a location that
experiences freezing temperatures (e.g. in a vacation
home, cabin etc.), you must drain all the water from the
dishwasher's interior. Water system ruptures that occur
as a result of freezing are not covered by warranty.
CAUTION
Do not over tighten the 90° elbow. Doing so may damage
the water inlet valve and cause a water leak.

JUN TION BOX PREPARATION ( )
Insta an easi y accessib e shut-off va ve (not supp ied) in
the water supp y ine. A so der connections must be made
before the water ine is connected to the dishwashers water
in et va ve. Water can a so be supp ied to the dishwasher
by using a f exib e braided hose ine.
Check with your p umbing supp y sources for the proper
hose and 90° e bow and necessary fittings for the water
supp y ine. This materia is not supp ied, and must be
purchased separate y.
If the water supp y ine is to be copper tubing, make certain
that the e bow has a compression fitting. App y Tef on tape
or other pipe sea ant when required. Orient the water supp y
connection downwards as shown in the figure so the water
ine can be easi y pu ed underneath or on the side of the
dishwasher.

ÝNotice :
=Either one of the above methods must be used or the
dishwasher wi not operate proper y.
=A hose that attaches to a sink spray can burst if it is
insta ed on the same water ine as the dishwasher. If
your sink has one, it is recommended that the hose be
disconnected and the ho e p ugged.

UNDER THE SINK DRAIN
INSTALLING AN AIR GAP
DISPOSAL
The dishwasher drain hose may be connected to the drain
p umbing in one of three ways (Figure A, B, ).
Insta a Y-branch tai pipe. (Figure A)
If the oca ordinance requires an air gap (Figure B).
Remove the drain connection p ug before attaching the
drain hose from the dishwasher.
Every disposa has a hook up for a dishwasher; consu t
your disposer manua for correct connection. (Figure )

CAUTION
Make sure all hoses and electrical wire are pulled through
the side opening of the cabinet; no hoses are kinked
and all slack taken out as shown in the above figure.
PLA EMENT OF DISHWASHER INTO THE
OPENING
DRAIN HOSE ONNE TION, WATER
SUPPLY & ELE TRI AL ONNE TIONS
Now p ace the dishwasher into the opening and get ready
to connect a hoses and e ectrica connections.
DRAIN HOSE ONNE TION
Connect the drain hose to the drain p umbing.
1. Use the supp ied rubber connection hose and drain hose
c amps to connect the dishwasher drain hose to the
p umbing drain connection.
2. Use the spring c amp to secure the rubber connection
hose to the dishwasher drain hose. Use the screw c amp
to secure the rubber connection hose to the p umbing
drain connection.

CAUTION
=Hot water supply line: Use minimum 3/8 O.D. copper
tubing or metal brai e ishwasher supply line.
=Temperatures required for soldering and sweating
will damage the dishwashers water inlet valve so
if any such operation is needed, keep the heat

After connections are made turn on the water supp y to

After connections are made turn on the water supp y to
check for eaks.
Water supp y may be connected to the dishwasher in one
of two ways:
=With meta braided hose.
=With copper tubing.
Grounding Instructions
This app iance must be grounded. In the event of a
ma function or breakdown, grounding wi reduce the risk of
e ectric shock by providing a path of east resistance for
e ectric current. This app iance is equipped with a cord
having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding
p ug. The p ug must be p ugged into an appropriate out et
that is insta ed and grounded in accordance with a oca
codes and ordinances.

Pass the e ectrica supp y cab e through the strain re ief;
make sure the strain re ief c amps the insu ated outer
casing of your e ectrica supp y cord and not the wires

(Figure B). Tighten the strain re ief screws. (Make sure
you can not pu the e ectrica cord ou of the strain re ief.
Do not pre-twist the wires before connecting them with
wire nuts
Using the supp ied wire nuts, connect the e ectrica
supp y wires to the dishwashers wires, b ack to b ack,
white to white, and green or bare to green or bare. Make
certain that the insu ated wires show no bare wire from
the bottoms of the wire nuts. Gent y tug the wires to
make certain they are secure y connected.

FASTEN JUN TION BOX
READJUSTING FOOT
1. Pu the wires into the junction box. Be sure that the
wire nuts do not oosen.
2. Rep ace the cover on the junction box.
3. Secure the cover with the screws (Figure D).
Now that the dishwasher is in the cabinet you must
readjust the feet to bring the dishwasher up to the
required height and attach it underneath the countertop.
1. Readjust the front foot eve s with adjusting wrench
to ba ance the dishwasher and raise it up under the
countertop, make sure the unit is eve .
2. Readjust the rear foot eve s with a screwdriver to
ba ance the dishwasher and raise it to the required
height using the brackets supp ied.
3. Attach the dishwasher underneath the countertop
with the four screws supp ied (Ø

x 16 mm). Make sure you do not go through the top
of the countertop or damage granite.

ADJUSTING THE MOVABLE TOE KI K
Now that you have successfu y insta ed the dishwasher,
you need to attach the toe kick to the dishwasher. The two
piece toe kick can be adjusted to the height and depth
needed for your kitchen. Be sure to use the s otted toe kick
in the front and the other behind it. They s ide into each
other.
1. Insert the movab e toe kick brackets into the channe
( A).
2. Make sure that the p astic tab to the eft of the L opening
on the dishwasher has not c osed the channe you wi
push the bracket through.
Be sure to notice there is a eft and a right bracket.
3. Now attach the toe kick to the bracket with the two

 - Ø 3.5 mm x 16) screws and the caps
provided as fo ows.

1. Bend tabs on toe kick (n) inwards (A).
2. Secure toe kick to brackets with screws (r) as shown in
the supp y bags (B).
3. Attach caps (p) as shown in the supp y bags (C).

Adjust the toe kick brackets forward or backwards so that
they wi a ign with the kitchen toe kick (B).
Lock the toe kick brackets as shown with the p astic tab in
the figure C by pushing the p astic tab on the dishwasher
into the teeth of the bracket ( ).

2. Secure toe kicks to brackets with screws (r) after adjusting
the height of the s otted toe kick (o) (B).

2. Remove the p astic mounting brackets from the
dishwasher (Figure B).

3. Lay the schematic over the door from the bottom up and
mark ho es on the wooden door as shown in the drawing
(Figure A).
4. P ace the p astic mounting brackets over the marked
ho es and the side tabs must be f ush with the edge of
the wooden door (Figure B).
5. Attach the two mounting brackets to the wooden door
by eight screws (Ø
