In the US and Canada bio-ethanol is also available as denatured alcohol. In ustralia it is
also called methylated spirits. If you are unsure which fuel is suitable please contact your

•Your blomus bio-ethanol fireplace is only intended to use bio-ethanol as
fuel. Never use any other fuel than bio-ethanol. The fireplace is designed to be a
decorative fireplace with a real flame. It is not suitable as a room heater.
•The fireplace must exclusively be used in sufficiently large, closed and well ventilated
rooms. It is made for domestic use only.
•The fireplaces must only be used in rooms with the following minimum sizes, providing
sufficient ventilation:
•Minimum volume of 60 m³ (219 cu.ft.), equalling an approximate area of 4 x 6 m (13
x 19.7 ft) with a ceiling of 2.5 m (8.2 ft)
•No flammable material or item must be placed on or directly around the fireplace.
•No cooking devices or any other item must be placed on the opening of the burner.
•Do not prepare food in the flame.

•Keep children and pets away from the fireplace and keep a minimum safety distance
of 0.5 m (1.64 ft) from the burning flame.
•Bio-ethanol must be stored in a safe place with no access to children and pets.

Bio-ethanol fireplaces use oxygen from the room air when in operation. lways keep the
room sufficiently ventilated but avoid draught. slightly opened window often provides
sufficient ventilation. If you experience sudden fatigue and lack of concentration, it can be a
potential indicator for lack of oxygen.

•Never leave a fireplace unattended when in operation. No flammable material must be
placed within 1m (3.3 ft) of the fireplace (i.g. curtains, furniture, lamps or decorative
items). Do not place any material or item onto the fireplace or any part of it.
•ny openings of the fireplace must be kept clear at all times.
•Item gets very hot while in operation. Never touch the item while in operation, let it
cool off for at least 15 minutes before touching it.
•The fireplace must only be mounted onto a solid wall of non-flammable material.
