Bluenote® CD Player
KoalaItalian Prestige CD Player
Congratulations
Thank you for having purchased a Bluenote® product.
Introduction
With Bluenote® products you enter a new dimension.
Bluenote® is the new way of listening to music. Bluenote® is
a range of products of prestigious and sophisticated Italian
design featuring unique and innovative technical and aesthetic
characteristics. The KOALA is the Bluenote entry level CD
player built on a standard rack chassis. The transport if of the
drawer type and is designed to achieve excellent rotational
stability. The KOALA despite its low price tag, is an audiophile CD player AND uses thelatest Bluenote digital technology
and output proprietary filter called Zero-Clock™.
As its big brother, the Stibbert, the internal DAC uses an atypical filter that enables the KOALA to reproduce a very large
bandwidth with low signal compression.

The Electro-Power™ voltage power supply of the KOALA is the first self adjusting power supply installed in a consumer CD
Player. It checks itself 50 times per minute. The Electro-Power™ also checks every 10 minutes the right function and
electronic stability of the whole system.
The Motor controlled by the innovative Electro-Power™ enables the CD player to lower the speed fluctuation to less than
0,0001% in any electrical system within 100 to 260 volt range.
Finally, the Electro-Power™ galvanically isolates the CD Player to guarantee the best sound performances available.

Constructionfeatures
This section describes the special features of the KOALA CD Player , the construction features, the reasons for the technical choices and the
originality of the design.
-The KOALA is a CD Player made in a standard 19” wide chassis.
-The chassis is particulary heavy to help disppating vibration feedback.
-N.B.: acrylic is inert, especially rigid material which makes it ideal for absorbing vibrations. With their extremely elevated technical and
sound characteristics these materials are easily subjected to small surface scratches. Particular care must therefore be paid to clean the

platter and the CD Player with a very soft cloth. Avoid the use of any type of solvent. Despite not making use of mats, the platter will
not ruin new vinyl records and creates a perfect coupling with it.

Set-Up Instructions
This section describes how to assemble and install your KOALA CD Player . The instructions are purely descriptive and necessarily generic. If
you have any doubts or difficulties with this procedure please contact your retailer who will know how to assist you:
1) Open all the cartons inside the main box and look that all the components listed in the “content section” are present.
2) Carefully remove theKoala CDP chassis from the shipping box.
3) Connect the audio cable (not supplied) to the amplifier. Note that the Koala has RCA unbalanced output and as optional the
Balanced XLR analog output also. Ask your dealer for more information about it.
4) Once positioned the Koala on a proper favourite shelf then connect the AC chord supplied.
Positioning of the KoalaCD Player
The Koala CD Player has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protected from any eventual
variations in temperature and humidity. Avoid using in the vicinity of radiators or other strong heat sources, electrical and electronic motors,
switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention to this. If the CD
Player should have to be moved after the CD Player has been installed, certain readjustments may need to be made. In any case, take care to
lock the Koala CD Player every time you need to move it, or to move it on which it is installed.
Operating Conditions
Once the Koala has been correctly assembled and positioned on a solid shelf plus all the interconnect and the AC cables are connected the CD
Player is ready for use.

On the KOALA front Panel there are replied the 6 basic function’s buttons of the unit.
STAND-BY
STOP
SKIP Forward
SKIP Reverse

OPEN/CLOSE
On back panel stereo RCA output and (only optional) XLR balanced connectors output are available as a RCA 75ohm Digital output.
