Construction features
This section describes the special features of the STIBBERT TUBE MKII CD Player , the construction features, the reasons for the technical choices and the originality of the
design.
-The STIBBERT TUBE MKII is a floating on Harmonic Iron springs CD Player that uses a board made in black high-density polished acrylic obtained via “polymeric
melting”, as a main electronic cabinet support and a clear acrylic plinth as the board supports the whole structure ..
-The black board is fully curved for increasing the structural rigidity and non-deformable properties.
-The Transparent board has 4 machine worked aluminium height-adjustable feet with a semi -conical shape with central grooving for ensuring greater insensitivity to
vibrations. Each foot has a recessed spike may be used to couple rigidly the CD Player on its shelf.
-N.B.: acrylic is inert, especially rigid material which makes it ideal for absorbing vibrations. With their extremely elevated technical and sound characteristics these materials are easily subjected to
small surface scratches. Particular care must therefore be paid to clean the platter and the CD Player with a very soft cloth. Avoid the use of any type of solvent. Despite not making use of mats, the
platter will not ruin new vinyl records and creates a perfect coupling with it.
Set-Up Instructions
This section describes how to assemble and install your STIBBERT TUBE MKII CD Player . Th e instructions are purely descriptive and necessarily generic. If you have any
doubts or difficulties with this procedure please contact your retailer who will know how to assist you:
1) Open all the cartons inside the main box and look that all the components listed in the “content section” are present.
2) Carefully remove the STIBBERT Tube mkII CDP black acrylic chassis from the shipping box as well as the 2 carton boxes and the clear acrylic board
3) Screw down the four threaded bars in the specific holes ofthe transparent acrylic board. The threaded bars must protrude from underneath (the other side of the Clear
board Bluenote® label and grey rounded velts) the transparent acrylic board about 10 mm.
4) Screw up the silver anodised aluminium feet on the threaded bars onto the lower part of the transparent acrylic base.
5) Insert the silver anodised aluminium threaded -bar covering tubes into the threaded bars on the upper part of the transparent acrylic board. Please note that the grey
velts shouldn’t be removed to lay down the threaded-bar covering tubes on them. Besides the threaded-bar covering tubes can produce some resistance while inserted
into them because the rubber ring spacer, because they must not move once the STIBBERT Tube mkII is properly installed.
6) Screw up the bolt shaped spring supports with faced up (bolt shape/smaller cylindrical shape) onto the head of the threaded bars and fit the conical springs onto them.
They spring support should be screwed approximately at the same level of the head of the threaded bars.
7) Gently lay the black acrylic board where the CD player unit is fixed onto the pre-installed springs finding the perfect centring inside the holesof the board itself.

8) Connect the Interconnect cables to your amplifier following the right channels (or the digital 75ohm cable having an external DAC).
9) Place the STIBBERT Tube mkII on a level surface you have chosen for it. We recommend a wall shelf, as they are the most sturdy, and immune to footfall, but a well made
equipment rack should give satisfactory results also. Once the table deck is placed on your chosen set-up location you are now ready to continue.
10) To finish this assembly operation level the black acrylic board to a perfect flat position and connect the AC Power chord supplied.

Positioning of the STIBBERT Tube mkII CD Player
The STIBBERT Tube CD Player has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protected from any
eventual variations in temperature and humidity. Avoid using in the vicinity of radiators or other strong heat sources, electrical and electronic
motors, switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention to this. If the CD
Player should have to be moved after the CD Player has been installed, certain readjustments may need to be made. In any case, take care to lock
the STIBBERT Tube CD Player every time you need to move it, or to move it on which it is installed.
Operating Conditions
Once the Stibbert Tube has been correctly assembled and positioned on a solid shelf plus all the interconnect and the AC cables are connected the
CD Player is ready for use.
On the STIBBERT TUBE front Panel there are replied the 6 basic function’s buttons of the unit.
STAND-BY
STOP
SKIP Forward
SKIP Reverse

OPEN/CLOSE
On back panel stereo RCA output and XLR balanced connectors output are available as a RCA 75ohm Digital output.

Cause of it’s Thermoionic Valve output stage the Stibbert Tube must turned ON 30 seconds before the amplifier where it is connected. For the same
reason it must turned OFF 30 seconds after the amplifier where it is connected.
The Stibbert Tube having a Thermoionic Valve output stage can’t be quite as a Solid State one.
NOTE: Never disassemble any part of the product for any reason whatsoever. The Stibbert Tube CD Player could be irreparably
damaged and the guarantee would be invalidated.
