Advantages
Operation
ALWAYS ensure that operators are trained in the use of flap wheels and understand and
follow the safety requirements before operation.
1. Choose a suitable flap wheel.
Always ensure that you have chosen the appropriate flap wheel for the task. Refer to the
specification above when choosing the correct flap wheel for the task.
2. Mounting the flap wheel.
Always ensure you follow the instructions of your chosen electric drill when mounting
any flap disc.
3. Securing the work object.
Always ensure that the work object you are working on is firmly secured to minimise
movement during the grinding process.
4. Grinding, polishing and removing rust.
Always ensure you hold the drill with a firm grip when in use. Carefully move the flap
wheel across the bulk or body of your workpiece.
5. Finishing.
Always ensure you slowly and carefully lift the drill from the surface of the work when
finishing any task.
• Removes the surface layer of various metals evenly by lightly grinding and deburring.
• To be used with power drills, pillar drills and air drills.
• The flexible design of the flap wheel make them ideal for smoothing curved surfaces and
reaching edges and corners effectively.
• Sharp abrasive grit is exposed at all times.
