General warnings
Before install, use and technical intervention of the device, read carefully this manual which is an integral and essential
part of the product.
Installation and maintenance must be carried out by a qualified staff, according to constructor ’s directions and the rules
in force. In particularly the maintenance must be carried out by a qualified technical staff authorized by the constructor
or the appointed retailer.
Boschetti Industrie Meccaniche srl does not answer for damages on objects, person and/or animals caused by a wrong
installation or a non respect of this manual’s directions. Any improper intervention caused the decline of the warranty.
The water heater must be designed to the use it has been built for. The constructor decline any responsibility for
different use since wrong and dangerous.
Technical data
The essential technical information, like wattage rating evacuation’s, consumptions, predisposition to gas type, gas
pressure inlet, water pressure inlet is summarized on the plate serial number placed on the frontal side of the devices
on the left over the drive handle.

Installation
Only a professional qualified technician is authorized to install the gas devices.
The installation must be carried out in conformity of:
- the current laws prescription;
- the laws in force about gas domestic installation;
- the direction for exhaust gases;
- the national and municipal laws.
Before installing the device check if it received in proper condition; in case of defects please contact the supplier.
The packaging must be kept away from children as they may be very dangerous. These parts have to be disposed
according to the local laws.
The place for the installation must respect all the condition listed in the laws in force about gas plants for domestic use
supplied by a distributing net - Projecting, installation and maintenance. A correct aeration must be guaranteed through
permanent right-dimensioned hole.
Wall fixing
It’s important to respect the general safety regulations required by current laws.
The wall must be of a non flammable material, otherwise is required a proper insulation.
Apply and anchor to the wall two wall-fixing element that must be correctly sized computing an adequate safety margin.
Then, hang the water heater on the wall hooking the support bracket on the previously installed fixing-wall elements. It
is recommended to carefully check the solidity of wall and place the water heater in a level with the aid of a level tool.

Gas connection
The inlet gas pipe may be flexible or rigid and must have a diameter of R 1/2 or even more.
In case of flexible pipes it must be an homologated product approved by local norm.
Between the device and the supply gas network must be installed a proper homologated valve as settle in the current
laws.
Before connection you have to check if the gas available in the place corresponds to the type fixed in the device (see plat
serial number). If the gas type is different you have to change the injector according to the instruction (see paragraph
transformation).
Before switch on the device check if the connection is properly tightened. To check the eventual leakages use of any
kind of flame is strictly forbidden.

Hydraulic connection
Before installing the water heater, check the pressure of the inlet water pipe, (see the proper values reported in the
schemes pag.3-4). If the pressure is higher than the highest value, we suggest the interposition of a pressure reducer
valve between the water heater of the inlet pipe which has to be placed as far as possible from the device. The ideal
position is near the meter.
The overpressure valve provided with the heater must be screwed on the entry hitch of cold water heater. Avoid any
tampering as the valve is set in the factory according to the characteristic functions of the water heater (intervention in
the stages of water temperature’s variation). In the heating stage a light leakage of the valve is normal; for this reasons
we suggest the connection of the valve with a drain. If the dripping persists:
1) check or install a pressure reducer as far as possible from the water heater (near the meter);
2) install in the sanitary circuit an expansion tank for alimentary use, whose capacity have to be at least a 10% of the
total one of the product.
The connection for water exit is placed on the opposite side of cold water entry. The water connection must be carried
out with pipes a suitable for drinking water conduction.
Note: use a proper overpressure valve connection system. Follow the correct direction, fixed by regulations in force and
with any possibles rules of the local authority responsible for water supply.
Note: The water drain from the overpressure valve may take place even without notice. Therefore we advise to connect
the valve with a drain.
Note: If the water is particulary hard and in the system there is a water softener, it is compulsory to the warrenty: 1) To
check that the hardness values aren’t lower than 22° F and higher than 28° F. 2) Install a polyphosphates doser.
Treatments have to be in keeping with UN CTI 8065 regulations. Please contact a qualified company to this aim.
Note: Only valid for countries which have enacted EN 1487: Between the appliance and the hydraulic network the
installer must install a hydraulic safety unit in conformity with EN 1487, not supplied with the appliance.
IMPORTANT: The overpressure safety device supplied with the water heater is an overpressure valve, not a hydraulic
safety unit.

The Termo version water heaters are equipped with a fixed double-walled heat exchanger and can be powered by
alternative thermal sources through the connection to the domestic heating system or other alternative energy
production system. For this purpose, thermo flow and thermo return have to be connected (see following draw).
Connection’s dimensions (see technical data scheme) must be strictly respected.
Maximum operating pressure of the heating fluid Thermo: 3 bar.

Exhaust connection
The device belongs to B11BS, therefore the exhaust gases must be evacuated outside with the interposition of a
draftdamper and smokes sensor. The first thing to do is to mount the draftdamper; insert the little tongues in the
suitable referance buttonholes on the upper cover of the water heater.
Afterwards, connect the fastons which are fixed on cables’ limbs on the tongues of the sensor placed on draftdamper’s
backside. The cross connection to the fire-tube must have a diameter according to the technical data schemes.
The laws in force on the matter must be followed.
The smokes sensor is a thermostat with a fixed setting. If the draftdamper overheats the smokes sensor opens the
contacts by interrupting the themocouple’s circuit and in this way it closes the gas flux to the valve.
The smokes sensor is an obligatory security which stops the water heater in case of bad draft. The burner turn off to
avoids that the exhaust gases propagate outside and provoke even deadly damages on person.

Check list before ignition
After the installation, which has to be carried out by an authorized technician in order with the rules in force, and before
burner’s lighting which has to be carried out by a qualified technician, you have to do the following check:
Injectors’ check
First of all you have to compare the data on the plat serial number and on the supplementary one about device category
and predisposition to gas type with the characteristic data of the local gas (gas type and pressure). If these data do not
correspond, it is necessary to do a transformation of the device (see paragraph transformation).
Tank filling
To do these check operations it is necessary to fill the water tank. To fill it with the net water you have to:
- open the cold water discharge cock;
- open the warm water exit cock.
We suggest to open a warm water tap of the domestic system so that air in pipe evacuates.
The necessary time for the filling is strictly connected with tank’s capacity.
Control pressure inlet gas (Pn)
This check must be carried out with an U-shaped pressure meter (lowest resolution 0,1 mbar).
The pressure meter must be connected with the pressure tap indicate in picture 7.
Turn on the device by following the instructions for use, and after some minutes check the pressure. The pression must
have the following values:
IT - II2H3P - 20; 37 mbar
for natural gas: entry gas pressure (Pn) 20 mbar; if it’s lower than (Pmin) 17 mbar or higher than (Pmax) 25 mbar, turn
off completely the device and contact the gas distribution company to solve the problem.
for LPG (G31): entry gas pressure (Pn) 37mbar; if it’s lower than (Pmin) 25 mbar or higher than (Pmax) 45 mbar, turn off
the device and the contact the installer to solve the problem.

Rated thermal capacity check
After have checked the proper injectors installation and the inlet gas pressure, check the thermal capacity. With the
volumetric method with a chronmeter and a gas counter. The check consist in calculating the consumption in a
determinate time unit. The result must be compared with technical data schemes.
Flame check
You can check both the main burner’s flame and the pilot burner‘s flame with a sight examination through the peephole
on the front of the cover burner as indicated in picture 8. Their aspect must be a steady flame and not return to ignition.
Note: the water heater is not provided with primary air setting.
Control evacuation of combustion gases and the smoke detector
To check the right working of the smokes sensor switch off the burn gas circuit. The simulation must be carried out by
inserting a pipe 50 cm long of a suitable diameter which must be plugged with a sheet metal.
The burner and the pilot must go out in two minutes from the moment in which the pipe has been plugged.
If this does not happen check again the connection of the fastons. It may be also necessary to change the piece.
Delivery to the user
The product is ready to be used only when all the operations describes in the manual have been carried out and
checked.
Explanation to the user how the device work both for security and economicity is compoulsary with the help of this
manual.
Remember to the user that variations of the installation place can influence the combustion air’s contribution. Therefore
when changes are carried out it is necessary to call the qualified technician to check the working.
It is advisable to suggest the user a maintenance contract, as gas devices must be checked annualy.
It is strictly forbidden to give to the user a water heater with working defects.

Transformation
For the transformation into a different gas type, for example from natural gas to LPG or vice versa, it is necessary to
change the injectors of the main burner and of the pilot burner. All the injectors for the different gas types are reported
on the injectors scheme (see page 4).
For the transformation from natural gas to LPG must be applied the mask for burner tube. For the transformation from
LPG to natural gas the mask for burner tube must be removed.
Every transformation implies the setting of the safety gas valve.
Note: After every transformation the device must be subjected to a functions’ examination and you have to update the
supplementary plat according to the transformation which has been carried out.
Burner's injector replacement
This operation must be carried out only by a qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- dismount the burner’s cover and the burner's protection mask;
- remove the cover for gas valve and unscrew the related fixing screws;
- loose the valve-burner's gas tube;
- remove the locknut;
- dissamble with a suitable key the injector of the main burner and replace it with the right one fixing the connection;
- set the pressure to the injectors according to technical data scheme (see page 4).

Pilot’s injector replacement
This operation must be carried out only by a qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- dismount the burner’s cover and the burner's protection mask;
- loose the fitting of the valve-pilot's gas tube;
- take away the injector by slipping off the valve-pilot's gas tube;
- set the new injector in the pilot burner and fix correctly the connection.
Application/removal of the mask for burner tube
For the transformation from natural gas to LPG must be applied the mask for burner tube. This operation must be
carried out only by a qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- dismount the burner’s cover and the burner's protection mask;
- unscrew the burner fixing screw;
- apply the mask for burner tube on the burner support bracket as indicated in picture 11;
- fix with the burner fixing screw.
Note: for the transformation from LPG to natural gas the mask for burner tube must be removed.

Safety gas valve setting
Remove the plastic cover and the handle of the gas valve. Unscrew the red protection (pic. 12 - pos. A). Set the screw
which is visible after remove the protection. To transform natural gas into LPG screw clockwise for seven or eight times;
to transform LPG into natural gas unscrew the screw anticlockwise untill the complete closing. Measure the injectors
pressure through the pressure tap (see pic. 12 - pos. B).
Note: After the transformation seal up again the safety gas valve.

Maintenance
It is advisable to carry out at least once a year by a qualified staff a check on the working of devices, the combustion, the
lighting and device‘s safety.
If it is necessary to replace an accessory or device, it is advisable to request the spare part from the manufacturer (see
the exploded drawing with the spare part list in the next page).
Before starting any work it is necessary to disconnect the device from the gas network.
Cleaning of the evacuation system of combustion
gases
Once a year it is necessary to clean the burnt gas
evacuation system. This operation must be carried out by
a qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- Dismount the burner’s cover and the burner's protection
mask;
- dismount the whole burner;
- take away the draftdamper;
- take away the baffles of the exhaust gases pipe;
- clean the smokes system;
- remount the same parts and check the tightness and the
working performance.
Smokes sensor replacement
The smokes sensor replacement can be carried out only
by a qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- take out the cables connected with the fastons;
- loose the screws which fix the smokes sensor to the
antiwind;
- mount the screws on the new piece;
- fix the screws.
To carry out the check of smokes sensor, see the
correspondent paragraph.
Safety gas valve replacement
The replacement of a defected gas valve must be carried
out only by a qualified staff. You have to follows these
directions:
- Remove the cover for gas valve and unscrew the related
fixing screws;
- loose the gas connection (pilot burner and main burner);
- take out the smokes sensor‘s cable;
- empty the water tank;
- remove the safety gas valve and replace it with a new
one;
- set all the parts and the connections by following the
inverse procedure and connect them respectively.
Piezoelectric ignitor replacement
The replacement of a piezoelectric ignitor must be carried
out only by a qualified staff. You have to follows these
directions:
- Remove the cover for gas valve and unscrew the related
fixing screws;
- remove the piezoelectric ignitor and replace it with a
new one;
- Remount the cover for gas valve and fix the related
screws.
Thermocouple and pilot burner replacement
The replacement of these parts must be carrieed out by a
qualified staff. You have to follows these directions:
- Dismount the burner’s cover and the burner's protection
mask;
- Remove the cover for gas valve and unscrew the related
fixing screws;
- loose all gas conduits (pilot burner, main burner);
- remove the thermocouple or the pilot burner and
replace the part;
- set all the parts by following the opposite procedure.

Instructions for use
General warnings
Both for the maintenance and the reparation charge qualified and authorized technicians. The installation as well as
possible transformations into another gas type, maintenance and reparations must be carried out according to the
directions in force and only by a qualified and authorized staff. Otherwise the warranty and the responsability of the
constructor are no longer valid.
The device must be checked at least once a year by a qualified staff. About this a maintenance contract as advisable.
The water heater is thought to heat drinking and sanitary water, any different use is not allowed.
Children must be kept away from gas devices.
Before turning on the device read carefully all the directions reported on this manual.
Do not let the device come into contact with inflammable material.
Water tank filling
Before carrying out this operation, it is recommended to carry out the hydraulic connection in according to the
instructions at the specific paragraph on page 7.
The water tank filling must be carried out as follows:
- open the cold water tap (pic. 15 - pos. B);
- open the warm water tap (pic. 15 - pos. A).
It is advisable to open a warm water tap of the domestic plant so that the air in the pipe evacuates. The necessary time
for tank filling depends on the device‘s rated capacity.

Burner’s ignition
First of all open the gas shutoff cock uphill
Push the button (pic. 16 - pos. A) and turn it contemporaneously anticlockwise untill the position (spark) is reached.
Push the button (pic. 16 - pos. A) and start more than once the piezoelectric ignitor (pic. 16 - pos. B) untill the pilot
burner lights up.
Keep the button pushed (pic. 16 - pos. A) for 10-20 seconds, than let it and check if the burner has lighted up.
When the burner is alight, push the button again and turn it anticlockwise untill to the position corresponding with the
symbol “ I”. On release, the button returns to the position (flame ).
Note: If the burner does not light up, repeat the operation again; a new attempt can carried out only after 2-3 minutes.
Temperature setting
Set the thermostat as you please (pic. 16 - pos. T). For this purpose consult the following scheme:
Note: For an economic working and a long endurance of the device, it is advisable to keep the thermostat on the
position 4.
Note: The temperatures indicated in the table are approximate. There may be margins on the indicated temperature of
± 7 °C.
Off burner
Turn the thermostat to position 1 (pic. 16 - pos. T). Push the button (pic. 16 - pos. A) and contemporaneously turn it
untill the position (full disk) is reached. Close the gas shoutoff cock uphill.

Cleaning and care
The device does not need special attention for cleaning and care. The external surfaces can be cleaned with a damp
cloth, if necessary with some detergents, then they have to be dry up. Do not use scratching, abrasive or corrosive
products, as the surfaces could be damaged. Do not wash the water heater with direct or under pressure water jets.
Water tank’s drain
To drain the water tank close the tap of cold water entry, and then open the appropriate tap knob for the drain (see
pag.7 Pic. 4 - pos. E) and proceed until the tank is emptied.
Precautionary measures to be followed in case of a long prolonged inactivity of the device or in case of
frost
After long inactivity period of the device, especially in cold places with under 0 temperature freezes, it is better to
discharge the device.
The discharge procedure must be carried out as explained above. The cold water feed and the gas feed must be closed
carefully.
Precautionary measures in case of device‘s troubles
When there are working troubles, turn off the storage water heater, close all water and gas connections and call the
clients assistance center or qualified technicians.
-The most common trouble is on the smokes sensor. If the device does not work because of this part, turn on
the device again. In case of no resalt call a technician.
-The pilot burner lights up but the main burner does not: only in this case the injector may be obstructed. Call
a technician to carry out a proper maintenance.
Other faulty lightings may be provoked by a pressure oscillation in the feeder system or a gas lack in network.
It is strictly forbidden to turn on the device without have followed these safety directions.
