BOUNCE™ is a very visual learning product. For best results refer to the “How To DVD” for better understanding or visit
www.bouncetutorial.com
Step 1:
For best results wash (optional) & dry hair thoroughly. Hair must be dry and clean for the BOUNCE™ to work at its best; there
is no need to use gels, conditioners, setting lotions or sprays to hold the volume.
Step 2:
Style your hair as you normally would. For example, curl or flat iron your hair to your liking. Do not add gels, or sprays
at the root’sof your hair.
Step 3:
Plug in the BOUNCE™ and set the temperature switch to the setting that best fits your hair type. The orange light will indicate your
BOUNCE™ is turned on; the bounce will take a few minutes to reach the optimal operating temperature. Use the “low” setting for thin,
fine hair types or color treated hair. Use the “hi” setting for thicker, coarse hair types, if you are unsure start in the low setting.

B) Start at your eyes and separate the hair back to the crown of
the head; clip up one side to start creating the volume you want.
Be aware of the hair you leave out, you do not want to use the
BOUNCE™ on hair that will show when you are finished. This
will be used to cover the waves created by the BOUNCE™.

Step 5:
A) Start working with two inch sections about 1/2 of an inch
thick at a time below the part line you just created. Remember
to keep the BOUNCE™ 1/4 inch from your scalp to avoid
contact with the hot tool.
A
B) Lift the section of hair upward at a right angle from the head
or higher and hold tightly. Place the hair in the BOUNCE™,
close, and hold for a couple of seconds, move the BOUNCE™
1/4 of an inch out and hold for a couple of seconds. You just
made two wave formations.

C) Release and angle BOUNCE™ down
to hold hair a third time, curve the
BOUNCE™ downward, creating an upside
down “U” shape with your hair; hold for
acouple seconds (please refer to the DVD
for a complete visual). Release the hair
and you have completed your first section.
You will see the volume you created
instantly. It is important to work in
small sections for optimal results.
C
D) Leave a 2 inch area to hide the wave
formation created by the BOUNCE™.
DO NOT BOUNCE™ this area.
D
Step 5: Step 6:
Continue working in small sections across
the hair, as described in Step 5 along the
part line until you have reached the crown.

A) Next, let down a small layer of hair
from the clip, maintaining the V section.
This section will cover the previous
Bounced section of hair. Continue with
the process described in Step 5 and
Step 6 for remainder of the hair.
A
B) Side is complete. Remember to leave
enough hair in the clip to cover the waves
from the BOUNCE™.
B
Step 8:
Move to the other side of the head and

TIPS / USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
BOUNCE™ has no user serviceable parts, and is virtually maintenance free. Do not
attempt to repair if any malfunction occurs.
No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair
spray. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
Cleaning Instructions:
1. Unplug the BOUNCE™ from the power source and let it cool off.
2. Clean all parts with slightly damp cloth.
3. Wipe all parts dry with a dry cloth.
Storage
When not in use, “unplug it”
Unplug the BOUNCE™ from the power outlet and allow it to cool before storing away.
Avoid contact between the iron and the power cord.
Store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the
BOUNCE™ since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord
carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord,
especially at plug connection.
Disposal
Appliance that has come to the end of its service life must undergo proper disposal in
accordance with the law. Plastics and electronic parts must be submitted for recycling.
Enquire with our municipal waste disposal authority for disposal directions.
TIPS:
• Watch the BOUNCE DVD and go to
www.bouncetutorial.com
• To create more volume and BOUNCE™
add more layers and BOUNCE™
more sections.
• For more lift at the root, lift each section
of hair as high as you can when using the
BOUNCE™ this will create more volume.
• Start with the low setting and if you want
more volume try the “HIGH” setting.
• Do not use the BOUNCE™ in an area
you do not want to see the markings.
• When you have achieved your desired
volume, run your hands through your
hair to loosen up and reshape your hair,
use your hands as your styling brush
massaging the area you have Bounced
at the scalp….miraculously you will
see the volume grow even more with
this technique.
