OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only.
The appearance of this appliance may differ from the illustration.
Only use this appliance for its intended purpose, as described in this manual.
SHINE ENHANCING TECHNOLOGY - This appliance has ceramic plates.
Ceramic technology is preferred by professionals for its ability to reach high
temperatures whilst also preserving natural moisture in the hair and preventing “frizz”.
HEATING THE APPLIANCE - Plug the power supply cord into a mains socket.
To turn the appliance on, press the On/Off button ( ), the display will illuminate and
an audible ‘beep’ will indicate that the appliance is on and heating up. Adjust the
temperature by repeatedly tapping the Touch Control Temperature display until the
desired heating level is reached. The display will ash until the appliance reaches
the selected temperature. Do not, under any circumstances, leave the appliance
unattended when switched on. To turn the appliance off, press the On/Off button ( ),
the display will turn off, then unplug the appliance.
Allow the appliance approximately 60 seconds to heat up.
RECOMMENDED HAIR TYPE USAGE - For rst use it is recommended that you
start with the lowest heat setting and gradually increase temperature to nd a suitable
level. Only use as much heat as you need for effective styling. Fine hair will require a
low heat setting and thicker less manageable hair will usually require a medium-high
heat setting.
STYLING - To straighten, separate a two-inch section of hair, gently place the hair
between the hot smoothing plates, and clamp down rmly on the handles. You will
achieve the best results by working from the scalp to the ends of the hair. Leave in
ne hair for 5 to 8 seconds and for 10 to 15 seconds in thick hair. Once hair is heated,
slide the plates carefully down the isolated section, making sure the hair is heated and
straightened all the way to the ends. Hold ends of hair while smoothing the section.
To release hair, just release the pressure on the handles and allow the hair to gently
slip out from the plates.
Create a “ick” by using the rounded end of the plates to curl up or under at the
end of hair. To create a curl from the styler. Take a section of hair, placing the hair
between the plates. Simultaneously, roll and glide the styler down through the hair,
working from roots to ends. For dened curls take a smaller width of hair.
AUTOMATIC WORLDWIDE VOLTAGE - This appliance will automatically adjust
to the correct voltage.
AUTO SHUT OFF - The Automatic Shut off feature will automatically shut the styler
off within an hour should you forget to turn it off.
LOCKING SWITCH - This appliance has a lock which ensures that the product
remains in a closed position when placed down. The appliance can be locked by
sliding the locking switch towards the handle ( ). To unlock the appliance
slide the locking switch towards the cord ( ).
CLEANING - Always unplug the appliance from its power source after each use and
allow it to cool. To clean, wipe the styler and plates with a damp cloth. Make certain
the appliance is completely dry before using. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of
dust, dirt, styling sprays and gels.
STORAGE - Always unplug when not in use.
Allow the appliance to cool before storing. Always store in a dry location.
Do not pull or twist the cord. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance,
as this may cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Regularly check the power
cord for wear and damage (particularly where it enters the appliance and the plug).
