yLea detenidamente estas instrucciones de funcionamiento para conocer el modo de utilizar
correctamente el equipo. Una vez que haya terminado de leer el manual de instrucciones,
guárdelo en un lugar seguro por si hicieran falta en un futuro.

Discos que se pueden reproducir
Este sistema puede reproducir cualquier CD de audio digital, discos de audio digital
CD-Grabable (CD-R) finalizados, discos de audio digital CD-Regrabable (CD-RW) finalizados y
discos de audio digital CD/CD-R/CD-RW de formato CD-DA.
FUENTE DE ALIMENTACIÓN
Esta unidad está diseñada para utilizar CA/CC.
FUNCIONAMIENTO CON CA
Enchufe el extremo más pequeño del cable de alimentación de CA en la toma de CA de la
unidad, y el extremo más grande en una toma eléctrica de la pared de CA. Las pilas se
desconectarán automáticamente. En la versión de tensión doble, asegúrese de que el selector
de tensión de CA (situado en la parte inferior de la unidad) está colocado en su tensión local
(opcional).
FUNCIONAMIENTO CON CC
Abra la TAPA DEL COMPARTIMENTO DE LAS PILAS. Instale 6 pilas de tamaño UM-2/C (no
incluidas) en el compartimento. Cerciórese de colocar las pilas con la polaridad correcta, tal
como se indica.
PRECAUCIÓN
yExtraiga las pilassi están agotadas o no van a serutilizadas durante unlargo periodo de tiempo.
yLas pilas contienen sustancias químicas, por lo que deberán desecharse adecuadamente.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
ENCENDIDO DE LA UNIDAD
Coloque el selector de FUNCIÓN en CD/MP3 o RADIO.
PARA AJUSTAR EL VOLUMEN
Gire el CONTROL DE VOLUMEN hacia delante y hacia atrás para subir o bajar el volumen.
SISTEMA DE REFUERZO DE GRAVES
Si desea aumentar los graves, pulse el botón REFUERZO DE GRAVES para activar los graves.
Vuelva a pulsar el botón para desactivarlos.
AURICULARES
Para escuchar el aparato usted solo, conecte los auriculares/cascos (no incluidos) en la toma de
AURICULARES (3,5 mm de diámetro)
PRECAUCIÓN: Las escuchas prolongadas con auriculares/cascos a volúmenes elevados
pueden producir daños en los oídos de los usuarios.
UTILIZACIÓN DE LA RADIO
SINTONIZACIÓN DE EMISORAS DE RADIO
1. Mueva el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN a la posición RADIO. El indicador 'POWER' (energía)
se encenderá.
2. Accione el interruptor BANDA para seleccionar la banda de onda deseada: AM/FM/FM ST..
3. Sintonice la emisora que desee girando el CONTROL DE SINTONIZACIÓN.
4. Ajuste nivel de volumen deseado con el CONTROL DE VOLUMEN.
5. Extienda totalmente la ANTENA TELESCÓPICA si está escuchando una emisión en FM.

Balancee suavemente la unidad hacia delante y hacia atrás para mejorar la recepción
cuando escuche un programa enAM, o coloque la unidad en un lugar abierto.
Nota: Si el programa emitido presenta demasiado ruido cuando está escuchando una
emisora en FM estéreo, mueva el interruptor BANDA de FM ST. a FM. El indicador FM
ESTÉREO se iluminará cuando reciba un programa en FM estéreo.
6. Apague la radio moviendo el selector de FUNCIÓN a la posición “TAPE/OFF” (apagado).
FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL CASETE
Botones
Botón de GRABACIÓN (RECORD): Pulse este botón para grabar desde la radio o desde el
reproductor CD.
Botón de REPRODUCCIÓN (PLAY): Pulse este botón para reproducir casetes.
Botón de REBOBINADO (REWIND): En el modo de parada, pulse este botón para rebobinar la
cinta hasta el principio.
Botón de AVANCE RÁPIDO (F.FWD): En el modode parada, pulse este botón para que la cinta
avance hasta el final.
Botón de PARADA / EXPULSIÓN (STOP/EJ.): Pulse este botón para parar la función actual o
para abrir el compartimento de la casete cuando no haya ninguna función activada.
Botón de PAUSA (PAUSE): Pulse este botón para interrumpir la reproducción de la casete o la
grabación. Vuelva a pulsarlo para continuar con la reproducción de la cinta o la grabación.
REPRODUCCIÓN DE UNA CINTA DE CASETE
1. Sitúe el selector de FUNCIÓN en la posición de reproductor de casete (TAPE).
2. Para abrir el compartimento de la cinta, pulse el botón de parada / expulsión (STOP/EJ.).
3. Inserte la cinta en el compartimento con la parte abierta hacia arriba y el carrete lleno a la
derecha.
4. Cierre el compartimento correctamente.
5. Pulse el botón de rebobinado (REWIND) o el de avance rápido (F.FWD) para mover la cinta
hasta el punto deseado.
6. Pulse el botón de REPRODUCCIÓN para que ésta comience.
7. Ajuste el nivel del volumen a su gusto.
PARADAAUTOMÁTICA
En los modos de reproducción o de grabación si el casete esté funcionando y llega al final de la
cinta, el aparato se apagará automáticamente y todos los botones volverán a la posición de
apagado.
GRABACIÓN DESDE LA RADIO
1. Introduzca una cinta virgen en el compartimento y ciérrelo.
2. Sitúe el selector de FUNCIÓN en la posición de RADIO. Mediante el control de sintonización,
sintonice la emisora deseada.
3. Para comenzar la grabación pulse el botón de grabación (RECORD). El botón de grabación
(RECORD) y el de reproducción (PLAY) se activan simultáneamente.
4. Para finalizar la grabación, pulse el botón de parada / expulsión (STOP/EJ.).
5. Para escuchar la grabación realizada, siga las instrucciones de la sección
“REPRODUCCIÓN DE UNA CINTA DE CASETE”.
NOTA: PAUSA: para interrumpir momentáneamente la grabación pulse el botón de pausa
(PAUSE) del casete en vez del botón de parada / expulsión (STOP/EJ.). De esta forma,
la interrupción de la grabación será imperceptible.

SUGERENCIAS PARA GRABACIÓN DESDE LA RADIO
Para pausar temporalmente la grabación, pulse el botónde pausa (PAUSE) del casete. Vuelva a
pulsar el botón de pausa (PAUSE) para reanudar la grabación.
GRABACIÓN DESDE UN CD/MP3
1. Introduzca una cinta virgen en el compartimento.
2. Sitúe el selector de FUNCIÓN en la posición MP3/CD.
3. Cargue el CD y seleccione la pista que desee grabar.
4. Para iniciar la reproducción, pulse el botón de reproducción / pausa del CD (PLAY / PAUSE).
Para iniciar la grabación, pulse el botón RECORD. El botón de grabación (RECORD) y el de
reproducción (PLAY) se activan simultáneamente.
5. Para interrumpir o editar la grabación, pulse el botón de pausa (PAUSE). Vuelva a pulsar este
botón para continuar con la grabación.
Para finalizar la grabación, pulse el botón de parada / expulsión (STOP/EJ.). Para escuchar la
grabación realizada, siga las instrucciones de la sección “REPRODUCCIÓN DE UNACINTADE
CASETE”.
UTILIZAR EL CD/MP3
INTRODUCIR UN DISCO
1. Ponga el interruptor 'FUNCTION' en posición CD/MP3.
2. Abra la puerta para CD.
3. Coloque un CD en la bandeja con la cara de la etiqueta hacia arriba.
4. Cierre la puerta para CD. El número total de canciones aparecerá en la pantalla tras varios
segundos.
5. Para sacar el CD, presione CD 'DOOR OPEN/CLOSE' (abrir/cerrar puerta) para abrir el
compartimento para CD, coja el CD por los extremos, y sáquelo con cuidado.
Nota:
yPara asegurar un buen rendimiento del sistema; debe aguardar que la bandeja de disco lea
el disco completamente antes de continuar.
ySi ningún disco es cargado o el disco es ilegible, la pantalla mostrará “NOD”.
REPRODUCIR UN DISCO
1. Presione el botón 'PLAY/PAUSE' (reproducir/pausa) para iniciar la reproducción.
La reproducción empieza desde la canción 1, “ ” aparecerá en pantalla.
Para interrumpir la reproducción, presione el botón 'PLAY/PAUSE' (reproducir/pausa), “ ”
desaparecerá y el número de canción parpadeará en la pantalla.
Para continuar la reproducción, presione el botón 'PLAY/PAUSE' (reproducir/pausa) de nuevo.
2. Para detener la reproducción, presione el botón 'STOP' (parar), el número total de canciones
aparecerá en pantalla.
SELECCIONAR UNA CANCIÓN/FRAGMENTO DESEADO
Para seleccionar una canción deseada
yPresione repetidamente el botón 'CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD' (saltar
adelante/atrás) en el modo de parada ('stop') o durante la reproducción hasta que la canción
deseada aparezca en pantalla.
yPresione el botón 'PLAY/PAUSE' (reproducir/pausa) para iniciar la reproducción.

Para buscar por un cierto pasaje durante la reproducción (búsqueda de pista
en alta velocidad)
Presione y sostenga el botón SALTAR CD ATRÁS/ADELANTE & SINTONIZAR RADIO
ARRIBA/ABAJO para barrer la pista actual en alta velocidad hasta el punto deseado (pasaje),
luego suelte el botón para reanudar el modo normal de reproducción. La reproducción
continuará desde este punto.
PROGRAMAR CANCIONES
Usted puede reproducir las canciones ('tracks') del disco en el orden que desee. Es posible
programar canciones del disco cuando la reproducción está detenida. Hasta 20 canciones por
CD 99 canciones por MP3 pueden ser guardadas en la memoria en cualquier orden.
1. En el modo de parada ('stop'), presione el botón “PROG./P-MODE” para configurar la
programación, el “PROGRAM” titilará en la pantalla y P01 se mostará el la visualización.
2. Presione el botón FORWARD SKIP para seleccionar la primera canción (pista) que desea
programar.
3. Presione el botón “PROG./P-MODE” para acceder. La pantalla muestra P02 parpadeando.
4. Repita los pasos 2 & 3 para guardar otras canciones deseadas hasta que las haya
programado todas.
5. Presione el botón 'PLAY/PAUSE' (reproducir/pausa) para iniciar la reproducción desde la
primera canción programada.
6. Presione el botón 'STOP' (parar) para detener la reproducción programada.
Para Borrar la Memoria (Programa)
Para borrar el programa, usted tiene dos opciones:
1. Presione el botón 'STOP' (parar) cuando el disco esté parado, o
2. Abra la tapa del compartimento para CD, el programa se borrará.
REPETICION
Puede leer una pista o todas las pistas en el disco en forma repetida.
Para Repetir una Sola Pista
1. Oprima una vec el botón “PROG./P-MODE” en reproducción. “ ” se mostrará destellando
en la visualización.
La presente canción se reproducirá una y otra vez hasta que usted oprima el botón STOP.
2. To cancel repeat play, press PROG./P-MODE button until " " disappears from display.
Para Repetir Todas las Pistas
1. Oprima tres veces el botón “PROG./P-MODE” en reproducción. “ ” se mostrará firme en
la visualización, todas canciones en el disco se reproducirán una y otra vez hasta que usted
oprima el botón STOP.

Para repetir la carpeta (sólo es para disco MP3 que contenga MÁS de una carpeta)
1. Oprima dos veces el botón “PROG./P-MODE” en reproducción. “ ” “ FOLDER ” se
mostrarán firmes en la visualización. La presente carpeta se reproducirá una y otra vez hasta
que usted oprima el botón STOP.

LECTURA ALEATORIA
Oprima el botón “PROG./P-MODE” cuatro veces durante la reproducción(Para MP3),
“RANDOM” aparecerá en la visualización, el aparato parará a buscar una canción al azar y
empezará reproducción desde esra canción, y luego escoge otra canción al azar hasta
reproducir todas las canciones y parar. Oprima una vez el botón PROG./P-MODE para anularlo.
LECTURA GENERAL (sólo para disco CD)
Oprima el botón “PROG./P-MODE” cuatro veces durante la reproducción, la pantalla mostrará
“INTRO”. Oprima el botón LEER/PAUSAR CD, el aparato va a leer los primeros 10 segundos de
la música de cada pista hasta leer todas pistas y parar. Optima el botón MODE DE LECTURA
CD stra vez a cancelar la operación.
PARA ESCOGER UNA CANCIÓN CUYO NÚMERO EXCEDE A 10 (sólo para MP3)
Para escoger una canción cuyo número exceed a 10, utilice el botón FOLD+/+10 y el botón CD
SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD. Durante la reproducción, oprima el botón FOLD+/+10
cada vez para saltar hacia adelante/atrás 10 canciones, luego oprima el botón CD SKIP
/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD para escoger la canción que quiere.
BÚSQUEDA DE DIRECTORIO (sólo para MP3)
Para el disco MP3 que contiene más de un directorio.
Para saltar a la carpeta durante la reproducción, oprima y mantenga oprimido el botón
FOLD+/+10 durante unos 2 segundos para saltar a la carpeta próxima/anterior.
INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
MANTENIMIENTO
Tipos de casetes
yPara realizar grabaciones utilice solamente cintas de buena calidad (IEC TYPE 1). Para la
reproducción podrá utilizar otro tipo de casetes; no obstante, para realizar buenas
grabaciones es aconsejable utilizar cintas adecuadas.
yNo es recomendable utilizar en este aparato casetes de tipo C120.
Protección de la grabación
yCualquier grabación de casete se borra al efectuar una nueva grabación sobre la misma.
Podrá proteger sus grabaciones contra el borrado accidental quitando las lengüetas situadas
en la parte posterior de la cinta.
ySujetando la cinta de modo que la parte expuesta quede hacia arriba, la lengüeta protectora
se encontrará en la parte posterior izquierda.
yTodas las cintas comerciales previamente grabadas están protegidas de esta forma para
evitar el borrado accidental. La protección de la cinta previene contra el uso accidental del
botón de grabación (RECORD).
Limpieza de discos
yCuando los discos estén sucios, límpielos con un paño de limpieza desde el centro hacia
fuera. No los limpie haciendo movimientos circulares.
yNo use disolventes como el benceno, productos comerciales de limpieza, o sprays
antiestáticos para discos analógicos.
Limpieza de la lente
yDespués de un uso prolongado, la suciedad y el polvo se acumularán sobre la lente de
lectura. Para garantizar la calidad de la grabación, limpie la lente con un limpiador de lentes
CD o con un producto comercial de limpieza específico. Siga las instrucciones impresas en
dicho producto.

Limpieza de cabezales de la cinta
yPara garantizar lacalidad de grabación yreproducción, limpie los cabezales, el cabestrante y
los rodillos de presión cada 50 horas de funcionamiento.
yUtilice un algodón humedecido con un limpiador líquido o con alcohol.
Desimantación de cabezales
yUtilice una cinta desimantadora disponible en su proveedor.

10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs,

POWER SOURCE
This unit is designed to be operated onAC/DC.
AC OPERATION
Plug the smaller end of AC power cord into AC jack on unit and the other bigger end into AC
wall outlet. The batteries will be automatically disconnected. For dual voltage version, make
sure that the AC voltage selector (located on the bottom of the unit) is switched to your local
voltage. (optional)
DC OPERATION
Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR. Install 6 pcs UM-1/D size batteries (not included)
into compartment. Please follow correct polarities as indicated.
CAUTION
yRemove batteries if they are flat or not being used for a long period of time.
yBatteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.
BASIC FUNCTION
SWITCHING ON THE UNIT
Set the FUNCTION switch to CD/MP3 or RADIO.
TO ADJUST VOLUME
Rotate the VOLUME CONTROL back and forth to increase and decrease volume.
BASS BOOST SYSTEM
For more extra bass, press the BASS BOOST button. Press again to turn off bass.
HEADPHONES
For private listening, plug the headphones/earphones (not included) into PHONES jack (3.5 mm
diameter).
CAUTION: Long time listening with headphones/earphones at high volumes may cause harmful
damage to users’ ears.
USING THE RADIO
TUNING IN RADIO STATIONS
1. Move the FUNCTION switch to RADIO position, the POWER indicator will illuminate.
2. Slide the BAND switch to select the desired wave band: AM/FM/FM ST..
3. Tune to required station by rotating the TUNING KNOB.
4. Rotate the VOLUME CONTROL to comfortable volume level.
5. Extend the TELESCOPICANTENNA to its full length if you are listening to FM broadcasting.
Gently rock the unit back and forth to get the best reception when you are listening to AM
program, or place the unit in an open place.
Note: If the broadcasting program is too noisy when you are listening to FM stereo station,
please slide the BAND switch to FM. The FM STEREO indicator will be on if you are
receiving FM stereo program.
6. Turn off the radio by switching the FUNCTION switch to "TAPE/OFF" position

USING THE CASSETTE
UNDERSTANDING THE BUTTONS
RECORD - Press to record from the radio or CD player.
PLAY - Press to play cassettes.
REWIND - From stop mode, press to rewind the tape toward the beginning.
F.FWD - From stop mode, press to advance the tape toward the end.
STOP/EJ. - Press to stop current tape activity or to open the cassette compartment door when
no buttons are active.
PAUSE - Press to interrupt tape play or record mode. Press the second time to resume tape
play or tape record mode.
PLAYING A CASSETTE TAPE
1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to TAPE position.
2. Press STOP/EJ. key to open the cassette compartment door.
3. Insert cassette tape into the compartment with the open edge facing up and the full reel on
the right.
4. Close the door securely.
5. Press REWIND or F.FWD to move tape to the desired starting point.
6. Press PLAY key to begin playing the tape.
7. Adjust the volume to your desired listening level.
AUTOMATIC STOP FEATURE
When the cassette deck is operating in play or record mode and the end of the tape is reached,
the unit automatically shuts itself off and returns all buttons to the off position.
RECORDING FROM THE RADIO
1. Load a blank tape into the tape compartment and close the door.
2. Set the FUNCTION switch to RADIO; Tune to required station by rotating the TUNING
KNOB.
3. Press RECORD key to begin recording. RECORD key and PLAY key go down simultaneously.
4. Press STOP/EJ. key to end recording.
5. To hear what you recorded, follow instructions in PLAYING A CASSETTE TAPE.
NOTE: PAUSE FOR A MOMENT - Using the PAUSE key on the cassette deck instead of the
STOP/EJ. key to momentarily interrupt recording gives you a much clear recording.
RADIO RECORDING TIPS
To temporarily pause the recording, press PAUSE key on the cassette deck. Press PAUSE key
again to resume recording.
RECORDING FROM CD/MP3
1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the tape compartment.
2. Slide the FUNCTION switch to CD/MP3 position.
3. Load a CD and select the desired track you want to record.
4. Press CD PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. Press RECORD key to begin recording.

USING THE CD/MP3
LOADING A DISC
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to CD/MP3 position.
2. Open the CD door.
3. Place an audio CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD door.
The total number of tracks will appear on the display after several seconds.
5. To remove the CD, lifting CD door up to open CD compartment lid, grasp the CD by its edges,
and carefully take it out.
Note:
yTo ensure good system performance; wait until the disc tray completely reads the disc
before proceeding.
yIf no disc is loaded into the compartment, or the disc is placed upside down, the display will
show N0D.
PLAYING A DISC
1. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
The playback starts from track 1, the “ ” indicator is shown on the display.
To interrupt playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The “” indicator and the current
track will flash on the display.
To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
2. To stop playback, press the STOP button, the total number of tracks appears on the display.
SELECTING A DESIRED TRACK/PASSAGE
To select a desired track
yPress the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD button repeatedly in stop mode or
during play until the desired track appears on the display.
yPress the PLAY/PAUSE button to start play.
To search for a particular passage during playback (track scanning at high
speed)
Press and hold the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD button to scan the current
playing track at high speed until desired point passage, and then release the button.
Playback will start again from this point.
PROGRAM TRACKS
Programming tracks of disc are possible when playback is stopped. Up to CD 20 tracks /MP3 99
tracks can be stored in the memory in any order.
1. In stop mode, press the PROG./P-MODE button, the PROG will flash and the P01 indicator
will be on.
2. Press the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD button to select the first desired track to be
programmed.
3. Press the PROG./P-MODE button to enter. The display changes to show P02.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 to store other desired tracks until all tracks are programmed.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback from the first programmed track.
6. Press the STOP button to stop program playback.
To Erase the Memory (Program)
To clear the program, you have two options:
1. Press the STOP button when the disc is stopped, or
2. Open the CD compartment lid, program will be erased.

REPEAT
To Repeat a Single Track
1. Press the PROG./P-MODE button once in play mode, “ ” will flash on the display. The
current track will be played repeatedly until the STOP button is pressed
2. Press the PROG./P-MODE button once more to cancel.
To repeat all the Tracks
1. Press PROG./P-MODE button twice in play mode, “ ” shows steady on the display, all
tracks on the disc will be played repeatedly until the STOP button is pressed.
2. To cancel repeat play, press the PROG./P-MODE button once more.
To repeat current Directory (for MP3 only)
1. Press PROG./P-MODE button twice in play mode, “ ” and “ FOLDER ” shows steady on
the display, the current directory will be played repeatedly until the STOP button is pressed.
2. Press the PROG./P-MODE button once to cancel.
RANDOM PLAY
Press the PROG./P-MODE button in play mode till the “RANDOM ” shows steady on the display,
the random play will start from next track automatically(or press CD skip forward button), until all
tracks are played over and then stop. Press the PROG./P-MODE button once to cancel.
INTROSCAN PLAY（for CD disc only）
Press the PROG./P-MODE button in play mode till the “INTRO ” shows steady on the display,
the unit will start to play the first 10 seconds of music of each track , until all tracks are played
over and then stop. Press the PROG./P-MODE button once to cancel.
To select a song which track number exceeds 10 （for MP3 disc only）
To select a song/track which number exceeds 10, Press the FOLD+/+10 button each time to
skip forward/backward 10 tracks, then press the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARD
button to select desired track. For example: to select the 17th track, press FOLD+/+10 button,
and then the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD button six times immediately.
To Select A Desired Folder（for MP3 disc only）
(if the MP3 disc contains more than one folder)
To skip to the desired folder during playback, press and hold the FOLD+/+10 button for about 2
seconds to skip to next/previous folder.

GENERAL INFORMATION
MAINTENANCE
Types of Cassette
yUse only good quality cassettes (IEC TYPE 1) for making recordings. May be used to replay
other types of cassette but is unable to make proper recordings on these more specialized
tapes.
yThe use of C120 cassettes is NOT recommended in this machine.
Protecting Recording
yNormally, anything recorded on the tape is automatically erased when new recording is
made. It is possible to protect your recording from accidental erasure by removing the tabs
found on the rear of the cassette.
yWhen the cassette is held with the recorded side uppermost and exposed tape facing the
front, the protective tab will be found on the left rear of the cassette.
yAll prerecorded cassette are protected in this way to prevent accidental erasure of the
commercial recording. "Protected" cassette will prevent the record button from being
operated.
Cleaning discs
yWhen a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning cloth, wipe the disc from the center out.
Do not wipe in circular motion.
yDo not use solvents such as benzene, thinner commercially available cleaners, or antistatic
spray intended for analogue records.
Cleaning the disc lens
yAfter prolonged use, dirt or dust may accumulate at the disc lens. To ensure good playback
quality, clean the disc lens with CD lens cleaner or any commercially available cleaner:
Follow the instructions supplied with cleaner.
Cleaning the heads and tape path
yTo ensure good recording and playback quality, clean the heads, the capstan(s) and
pressure roller(s) after every 50 hours of tape operation.
yUse a cotton swab slight moistened with cleaning fluid or alcohol.
Demagnetizing the heads
yUse a demagnetizing tape available at your dealer.
