To boil water, follow operational instructions in manual.
When water has boiled, the power automaticaly turns off
unless the “keep warm” function is used.
Safety Overview
Before using the appliance
Perform the following procedure to clean the appliance.
1. Remove the spout cap and rinse out the inside.
2. Fill the appliance with 0.8 L of water (MAX level).
3. Boil the water.
4. Discard the boiled water.
While or shortly after using the appliance, it’s surface, and
spout, the area around the steam vent of the lid and the power
base is hot. Do not touch these parts. Doing so may cause
scalding (or burns). Hold the handle when using the appliance.
1. Read all instructions carefully and thoroughly.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Always hold the handle or knob.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons,
do not immerse the cord, plug, kettle itself, or power base in
water or other liquids.
4. Close supervision is nevessary when the appliance is used
by or near children.
5. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Let it cool down before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any applicance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in
any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by
Brod & Taylor may result in fire, electric shock or injury to
persons.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter,
or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place the appliance on or near hot gas or an
electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its
intended use.
12. Close the lid firmly until it clicks or the automatic OFF
function may not work.
13. Hold the handle when removing the lid. Be careful not to
touch the hot surface of the kettle body or the nozzle after
boiling water.
14. Do not remove the lid during the boiling cycle. Doing so
may result in scalding (or burns).
15. When unplugging the appliance, hold the power plug itself.
Do not pull the power cord.
16. Do not fill the appliance with water while it is on the power
base. Before placing it onto the power base, dry the bottom of
the kettle.
17. To prevent the risk of scalding (or burns), close the lid
firmly.
18. Take care not to scald yourself. Steam is emitted from the
steam vent or the spout during or after boiling. Steam is
emitted when opening the lid.
19. Use the appliance on a flat and heat-resistant surface. Do
not use it on top of other electrical products.
20. Do not wash the appliance or the power base in a
dishwasher. Never use detergent.
21. Do not insert any foreign objects in slots or gaps of the
appliance.
22. Do not try to disassemble or repair the appliance, or try to
replace the power cord yourself.
23. The appliance is for household use only.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safey precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the
wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove
plug from wall outlet.
Scaling may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing
cycles.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
If the SUPPLY CORD, is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualifiied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.

7. In standby mode, if there is no operation for 3 minutes, the kettle will go into sleep mode. All the indicator
lights will turn off, and the digital display will show (---). Removing and then replacing the kettle on the base
will automatically transition the kettle from sleep mode to standby mode.
6. To Mute: press and hold the celsius/farenheit toggle button for 2 seconds. The beep will sound 2 times to
indicate that the sound is now turned off.
5. When setting the temperature, press and hold + or – for 2s to set the temperature to the original setting of
100°C / 212°F.
2. Press the ON/OFF " " button to enter working mode. Press + or – to set the temperature. The tempera-
ture range can be set from 40 to 100°C (104 to 212°F). The default temperature is 100°C / 212°F. Then press the
ON/OFF " " button to start heating. The display shows the current temperature of the water. When the
ON/OFF button is in working mode, the button is the color red " ". After the water temperature is heated
from the current temperature to the set temperature, it will stop heating and return to the standby mode. When
the kettle is running, Press " " again to exit the heating state and return to the standby state.
1. After power on, all the indicators will be on for 5 seconds, and the digital display will show " "; after
being on for 5 seconds, the kettle will beep once and enter the standby mode. In standby mode, the ON/OFF
button is blue “ ” and the Temperature Display will show the internal temperature of the kettle. Removing
the kettle from the base will cause the display to show “- - -”.
4. Press °C/°F button once to switch the display temperature between Fahrenheit(°F)and Celsius(°C).
3. Press + or – to set the temperature in standby mode. If desired, the ‘Hold’ button can be pressed to keep
the water temperture at the set point for a maximum of 2.5 hours. If ‘Hold’ is not active, the kettle will keep the
temperature at the set point for 5 minutes by default.

For “HOLD” function
Plug in kettle. Wait 5 seconds until beep. Kettle is now at the
ready to work.
Press Power to start ‘work’ mode and
set target temperature.
Press + or — to set target temperature. 100°C / 212°F is default.
Then press ON/OFF to start heating fuction. ON/OFF indicator
will turn RED to indicate kettle is heating.
THREE BEEPS indicates that kettle
has reached target temperature.
Press HOLD button. Indicator will turn RED to confirm HOLD
feature is engaged.
Kettle will keep target temperature for 2.5 hours, or until other
action is taken.
