4. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
•If the handset is dirty, clean with a soft cloth and neutral detergent.
DO NOT USE ABRASIVE ADDITIVES OR SUBSTANCES.
• The cordless must be connected to an associated, homologated telephone.
• Do not use for long periods in very damp areas, especially when particularly hot or cold
and avoid direct exposure to the sun or sources of heat.
• Do not rest objects or furniture on wires or on the handset.
• PROTECT THE HANDSET FROM WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
• Do not use the handset and do not position the base in loose proximity to metallic objects
and working electrical handsets as this could cause interference and reduce the cordless
phone’s range.
• Always hold the cordless at a minimum distance of 50 cm from the other electronic
handsets to avoid interference.
• Stand the base on a flat surface.
• If you intend to install the handset in a building on several floors, connect the base on an
intermediate floor.
• The cordless cannot operate properly if it is too far away from the base.
USE THE CORDLESS WITHIN ITS RANGE: ABOUT 50m INDOORS, 300m OUTDOORS.
• Completely discharge the batteries once a month, then recharge them in order to keep
the charge for as long as possible and extend the life of the batteries.
CAUTION! ONLY USE AAA MINISTIL OR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
• Only use the power pack provided to supply power to the base of the handset; the use of
a non-original power pack could cause serious damage.

5. INSTALLATION
5.1 POWER SUPPLY TO THE HANDSET
CAUTION!
The electric socket must be fitted near the handset and must be easily acessible.
1. Insert the plug positioned at one end of the adapter cable provided into the appropriate
power socket at the back of the base.
2. Insert the adapter plug into the electric socket on the wall.
5.2 CONNECTION TO THE TELEPHONE LINE
1. Insert the plug positioned at one end of the telephone cable provided into the
appropriate socket at the back of the base.
2. Insert the tripolar telephone plug into the telephone socket on the wall.
5.3 FITTING THE BATTERIES
1. Position the cordless with the buttons facing down.
2. Unhook the cover of the battery compartment on the cordless, pressing the cover and
pulling it towards you.
3. Insert the 2 batteries (ministilo AAA) into the compartment, respecting the polarity
indicated inside.
4. Close the battery compartment, sliding the cover upwards.
CAUTION!
BEFORE USING THE HANDSET, WE RECOMMEND TO LETY THE CORDLESS UNDER CHARGE AT LEAST
DURING 15 HOURS IN THE APPROPRIATE COMPARTMENT OF THE BASE, TO ALLOW A COMPLETE
CHARGE OF THE BATTERIES.
5.4 RECHARGING THE BATTERIES
When the cordless batteries run down (i.and. you see on the display the symbol ) just rest
the cordless in the appropriate compartment of the base with the buttons facing you.
Recharge it for 15 hours to fully recharge the batteries.
5.5 REPLACING THE BATTERIES
CAUTION: Only use recyclable batteries dedicated to this model. When the cordless
autonomy time begins to drop, even if the batteries have been correctly recharged, the
batteries are running down and must be replaced: follow the instructions in paragraph
“5.3 Fitting the batteries”.

6. USING THE “PHONE” FUNCTION
Foreword.
When the cordless is waiting, i.and. when the line is not engaged and no operation is running,
the display shows:
•on the first line: “PT(1) BS(1)”
(numbers identify the cordless (HS) and the base (BS). Or the name you have selected.
• on the second line: “14/10 14:09”
(14=day; 10=month; 14:09=present time), if you have adjusted them previously.
6.1 ANSWERING A CALL
•Awhen a call comes in, the cordless will ring and the icon will flash on the display.
If the cordless is connected directly to the telephone line (not through a PABX) and the
caller identification service has been activated by your company, the caller’s telephone
number will appear on the display (if it is available), or the caller’s name, if it has been
previously stored in the number book.
• Press any button to answer, the display shows the icon .
• To end the conversation, press the button or place the cordless back on the base.
The icon wil disappear.
6.2 MAKE A CALL WITH MANUAL SELECTION
• Press the button to engag the line.
• With the line engaged, the display shows the icon .
• Check that there id a dialing tone and dial the number using the buttons.
• The number selected will appear on the display.
• At the end of the conversation, press the button again or place the cordless back on
the base, and the line will be disconnected.
6.3 CONVERSATION WITH SPEAKER
The loudspeaker function is activated and deactivated pressing the button
when the
line is engaged.
When the loudspeaker is activated, you hear the voice from the loudspeaker, and the
display shows the symbols and (press repeatedly the buttons VOL+ and VOL+ to adjust
the loudspeaker volume).
During the conversation with the loudspeaker you can return to standard mode, pressing
again the button
.
To end the conversation, press the button .
6.4 PRE-SELECTION
• Before engaging the line, dial the number using the buttons, using a maximum of 24
figures.
• The figures appear on the display, and you can check them before engaging the line.
• If you dial a wrong figure, press the button CH- to cancel the last figure; to cancel all the
number, keep the button CH-, pressed, the number will be cancelled, and the device
returns to stand-by.
• After checking the number on the display, press display, press to engag the line.
• The figures will be selected.
• At the end of the conversation, place the cordless on the base and press the button
again.
NOTE: if your handset is connected to a PABX switchboard, to use the pre-selection button it
is necessary ton insert a pause of some seconds between the switchboard code and
the telephone number. Insert the pause, press the
RP/P,
button, the display shows the
letter
“P”.
6.5 RP LIST: LAST NUMBERS CALLED
Your cordless stores the last 10 numbers dialled, and gives you the possibility of recalling
them.
Foreword: If your handset is connected to a PABX switchboard, to recall the numbers of the
list it is necessary, while dialling the number, to insert a pause (pressing the button RP/P)
between the code accessing the outside line and the telephone number.

With the handset in stand-by, press the button RP/P to access the list, the display shows on
the first line the progressive number from 0 (more recent call) to 9 (less recent call) and on the
second line the telephone number.
Scroll the list by means of the buttons CH+ and CH-.
Press the button , the line will be engaged, and the number selected.
6.6 ADJUSTMENT OF SPEAKER VOLUME
During a standard or loudspeaker telephone conversation, you can regulate the speaker
volume as follows: press repeatedly the button VOL+ o VOL-.
The volume levels appear on the display, as “Volume” followed by 1 (low), 2 (mid) or 3 (high).
6.7 VIBRACALL FUNCTION IN SILENT MODE
When the function is activated, the ring tone of the cordless is excluded and, upon arrival of
a call, the cordless vibrates.
To activate the Vibracall function, press and keep pressed the button , you feel the
cordless vibrating for some seconds, and the display shows the symbol .
To deactivate the function, press again and keep pressed the button , you hear a
confirmation tone, and the display shows the symbol .
6.8 MICROPHONE EXCLUSION
If you want, during a conversation you can exclude temporarily your partner pressing briefly
the button /MUTE, the displasy shows “Mute” and the microphone is excluded.
Press again /MUTE, to deactivate the function and continue the phone conversation.
6.9 CORDLESS SEARCH FUNCTION
This function is useful, when you cannot find your cordless.
•In standby mode, press and release the button on the base, the cordless will send an
acoustic signal.
• To stop the signal, press any button on the cordless.
6.10 BUTTON LOCK
To avoid accidentally pressing the buttons on the cordless, it is possible to temporarily lock
them, in this way no operation can be performed, the line cannot be engaged and no
number can be selected.
• To lock the board, with handset in stanbdby, press and keep pressed for some seconds
the button ; you will heat a long confirmation “beep”, and the display shows for a
moment “Key Lock”.
• To release the buttons, press the button , and hold it down, the display shows
“Buttons enabled”.
6.11 CORDLESS OPERATION UNDER PABX SWITCHBOARD: PAUSE FUNCTION
If your handset is connected to a PABX switchboard, during the number selection it is
necessary to insert a pause of some seconds between the switchboard code and the
telephone number.
To insert a pause, press the button RP/P, the display shows “P”.
NOTE: A pause can be inserted only during the pre-selection, i.and. when the selection is
made on the disengaged line.
6.12 R FUNCTION
This button is useful to access the Supplementary Telephone Services offered by your
company; it is also necessary on some kinds of switchboard: pressing the button CH- when
the line is engaged, you send the R signal to the line (letter “F” on the display).

7. FUNCTION MENU: PROGRAMMING AND USE
NOTE:
7.1 PHONE NUMBER BOOK
The number book can contain up to 20 alphanumeric memories (number= uo to 24 figures;
name= up to 12 letters).
STORAGE OF NUMBERS IN THE BOOK (FROM MENU)
1. Press the button MENU, number 1 corresponding to “Phonebook” flashed.
2. Press
to select “1 Phonebook”.
3. Scroll the list down (button CH-) up to “2 New” and press
to select it, the display
shows: “Enter number” (first line) and the progressive number (2 figures) corresponding
to the memory cell (second line).
4. Dial the phone number (max 24 figures). If your handset is connected to a PABX
switchboard, remember to insert a pause (button RP/P) between the access code to the
outside line and the telephone number. Press the button VOL-/C to cancel the figure left
of the slider.
5. Press the button
to confirm, the display shows “Enter name” (the first line) and the
progressive number (2 figures) corresponding to the memory cell (second line).
6. Use the alphanumeric keyboard to insert the name. Press the button VOL-/C to cancel the
figure left of the slider.
7. Press the button
to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep, and the display
returns to the Phone Book menu (1. Search; 2. New).
8. Press the button to leave Programming and to return to Stand-by.
QUICK STORAGE OF A DISPLAYED NUMBER
You can store quickly a number displayed in the Book as follows:
1. Press
, the display shows “Enter name” (first line) and the number (2 figures)
corresponding to the free memory cell, where the number shall be stored (second line).
2. Insert the name and press the button
to confirm; the cordless will return to Standby.
CHANGING OR CANCELLING A MEMORY
You can access to the Number Book as follows:
FROM MENU:
a. Press the button MENU.
b. Press
to select “1 Phonebook”.
c. Press again
to select “1 Search”; the display shows “Enter name”.
DIRECTLY FROM STANDBY:
Press the button VOL+/or CH-.
1. Now:
a.
press the button
and scroll the list using the buttons
CH+ and CH-;
or
b. press the button corresponding to the initial of the name you are searching, the
display shows the first name beginning by the letter selected, use the buttons CH+ and
CH- to scroll the list.
2. Press
to select the name and choose between:
a. “Change”:
1) press the button
and then change the number (press VOL-/C to cancel the
figure left of the slider);
2) press again
to change the name (press VOL-/C to cancel the figure left of
the slider);
3) press the button
to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep, and the
display returns to the Number Book menu (1. Search; 2. New).
To access the menu: press MENU
To scroll the Menu position: press CH+ (upwards) or CH- (down) (the number
corresponding to the selection flashes)
To confirm the selection of a
menu position or confirm: press

To leave programming and return

the display returns to the Number Book menu (1. Search; 2. New).

to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep, and
the display returns to stand-by;
3) press the button to leave Programming an to return to stand-by.
RECALLING A NUMBER FROM THE NUMBER BOOK
1. With your phone in stand-by press the button VOL+/or CH- to enter the Number Book.
2. Scroll the list using the buttons CH+ and CH-.
3. When the display shows th number you want to call, press the button , the number will
be selected.
7.2 LIST OF CALLS RECEIVED (CALL IDENTIFICATION)
If you activated the caller identification service at your telephone company, upon arrival of
a call, the display shows the caller’s name (if stored in the Number Book) or the telephone
number (if available).
The cordless stores in the “List of calls received” the numbers of the last 10 calls received
(answered and not answered). If the handset is connected to a standard analogue phone
line (PSTN), also the date and time of the call shall be stored; this does not apply to handsets
connected to an ISDN line.
In standby mode, all new calls received, not consulted, are indicated on the display by the
symbol .
NOTE:
•If your cordless is connected as “indoor” to a PABX switchboard, the caller’s identification
function is active only if the switchboard can support this function.
• The first 24 figures of the numbers of the calls received shall be stored.
CONSULT THE LIST OF CALLS RECEIVED
1. With your phone in standby, press the button MENU.
2. Press once the button CH-; to select “2. Call Log”.
3. Press the button
to access the list, the display shows the information of the most
recent call (identified by the progressive number “0”.. The information shall be displayed
on 2 different screenshots (appearing in alternating mode) as follows:

4. Use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list.
5. Press the button to leave Programming and to return to Stand-by.
RECALLING A LIST NUMBER
1. With your phone in standby, press the button MENU.
2. Press once the button CH- and then
, the display shows the information of the most
recent call.
3. Use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list.
4. Press the button to recall the displayed number.

SAVE IN THE NUMBER BOOK, CANCELLING A NUMBER OF THE LIST
1. With handset in stanbdby, press the button MENU.
2. Press once the button CH- and then
.
3. Use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list.
4. Press the button
and select between:
a. “Save”:
1) press the button
, the display shows “Enter name”: dial the name you want
to associate to the telephone number;
2) press
to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep, and the display returns
to stand-by.
b. “Delete”:
1) press the button
, the display shows “Delete”.
2) press again the button
to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep, and
the display shows a number of the list. Press the button to return to stand-by.
c. “Deletel all”:
1) press the button
, the display shows “Delete all ?”;
2) press again the button
to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep and the
display returns to stand-by.
NOTE: If there is no number in the list, the display shows “No Number”.
7.3 CORDLESS: ADJUSTMENTS
7.3.1 CUSTOMISATION OF CORDLESS NAME
1. Press MENU and then use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “3. HS
Setting”.
2. Press twice the button
,
the display shows
“
HS Name
”;
dial the name and then press
to confirm, the handset returns to stand-by.
7.3.2 OPERATOR’S CODE
This function allows you to program up to 3 codes of telephone companies, so that you can
pre-set them to the telephone number quickly, any time you want.
PROGRAMMING THE CODES AND THE COMPANY NAMES
1. Press MENU and then use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “3. HS
Setting”.
2. Press the button
, and scroll the menu up to select “Callbycall”, press
to confirm
the choice.
3. Select “1. Number 1” and press
if you want to adjust the first code, or select one of
the 2 other positions using the button CH-, before pressing
.
4. The display shows “Enter number”.
5. Dial the code of the telephone company (max 12 figures) and press
to confirm, the
display shows “Enter number”.
6. Insert the name of the telephone company and press
; the code shall be stored.
7. The display returns to the cordless menu, press the button to return to stand-by.
USE OF THE FUNCTION
If you want to make a call using one of the company codes previously programmed:
1. In stand-by press the button
, and scroll the list to choose the name of the telephone
company and, when it is selected, press again
;
2. Dial the telephone number, and press the button , the call will be made using the
company selected by you.
7.3.3 ACCESS CODE TO CALL THE NUMBER OF THE “CALLS RECEIVED” LIST (operation under
switchboard)
If your cordless is connected to a PABX switchboard and if this latter is fitted for the caller’s
identification service, in order to recall the number from the list of calls received, you must
adjust the access code of the switchboard.
NB:The cordless stores the numbers of calls received only if the caller’s identification service is
activated at your telephone company.
1. Press MENU and then use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “3. HS
Setting”.
2. Press the button
, and scroll the menu up to select “Access code”, press
to
confirm the choice.
3. Insert the code and press
to confirm. Press the button to return to stand-by.

7.4 TONES
1. Press MENU and then use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “4.
Tones”.

, now scroll the menu using the buttons CH+ and CH- and then
confirm using the button
to select between:
1) “1. Key Tone”: every time you press a button, the cordless sopunds (choose between
2 different sounds) or “Off” using the buttons CH+ and CH-. Press
to confirm.
2) “2. Ring type”: choose the type of melody for the cordless ring tone (1 to 10) using
the buttons CH+ and CH-. Press
to confirm.
3) “3. Volume”: choose the level of the cordless ring tone (1 to 3 or “Off”) using the
buttons CH+ and CH-. Press
to confirm.
4) “4. VIP ring”: you can associate to 2 telephone numbers two different melodies;
onde adjusted the melodies (if the caller’s identification service is activated at your
telephone company, asnd the switchboard supports this function is the cordless is

follow the procedure to register the cordless phones on the base.

Number Book shall be deleted, the ring volume shall be reset to level 2, melody to “Type

7.6 BASE SELECTION (MULTI-CORDLESS FUNCTION)
If your cordless has been registered to 2 or more bases (up to 4), you can choose on which
base the handset shall work.
1. Press MENU and then use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “6. BS
Settings”.
2. Press the button
, and choose between:
a. “Sel. Base Auto” (the cordless will be connected to the nearest base);
b. “Sel. Base Base n” with n=1…4: the cordless will be connected only to the selected
“n” base.

7.7 BASE ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the functions “7. BS Settings” you must insert the PIN code of the base (the default
adjustment is 0000).

of one as follows:

Settings”.
2. Press the button

followed by the numbers of all cordless phones registered on that base.
3. Press the number corresponding to the cordless you want to de-register (1 to 4).

7.7.3 SELECTION MODE
You can choose between two different selection modes: decade selection or multi-
frequency. The wrong programmation of the section will not allow to call any number.
If you do not know the type of switchboard to which you are connected, make a test
programming the selection on multi-frequency, if you do not cannot dial the number, then
program the selection on “decade”.

Once adjusted the number to be locked, every time you try to call any number, whose first
2 figures correspond to the locked ones, the display shows “Bar” and the cordless returns to
stand-by.
If, for example, you want to lock all international calls, then adjust the lock of the figures
“00”.

3. Dial the present day (2 figures), the month (2 figures), the time (2 figures 0-23) and the
minutes (0-59) using the numeric board (use the buttons VOL- and VOL+ to displace the
slider).
4. Press the button
to confirm, the cordless returns to stand-by and displays the time
adjusted.
7.7.8 AREA CODE
1. Press MENU and the use the buttons CH+ and CH- to scroll the list, up to select “7. BS

8. FUNCTION: INFRARED TV REMOTE CONTROL
Your cordless features an infra-red ray door (on the top side) that allows to use it as an infra-
red remote control.
To use this function, configure first of all your cordless. You have 2 possibilities:
• Make a programming on the cordless, that allows to store the code of the TV model you
want to control from your cordless.
• Perform the learning procedure through infra-red rays from the TV remote control to your
cordless.
8.1 STORING THE TV PROGRAMMING CODE
The package of your cordless contains a list of the main commercial trade marks, with
the corresponding programming codes (4 figures). For each trade mark, each 4 figures
code corresponds to a given model. Following the procedure described hereafter, you must
program on your cordless the first code corresponding to the TV trade mark, and then check
if your cordless controls your TV with this code. If this does not occur, repeat the procedure,
program the second code of the mark and check again the function of the cordless as a
remote control, and so on.
If none of the codes of that trade mark is valid, then proceed with the learning by means of
infra-red rays, as described in the following serction.
Storing procedure (on your cordless):
1. Press the button MENU.
2. Press once the button CH+ and then to enter the programming “8. Remote
Control”.
3. Press
to select “1. Code TV”.
4. The display shows “Ins. code“. Dial the 4 figures of your TV trade mark, and press
;
you will hear a confirmation beep.
5. Press the button to leave the programming and tor eturn to stand-by.
Now enter the TV mode (press the red button TV) and try to use the controls (see par. “7.3
REMOTE CONTROL MODE: TV CONTROLS”). If the inserted code does not allow the use of the
TV functions, repeat the procedure inserting other codes of the same trade mark.
8.2 LEARNING THROUGH INFRARED RAYS FROM TV CONTROL TO YOUR CORDLESS
With this procedure, the cordless learns each single command of the TV remote control.
•Switching on/off of TV (on the cordless: button )
• Channel UP (on the cordless: button CH+)
• Channel DOWN (on the cordless: button CH-)
• Volume UP (on the cordless: button VOL+)
• Volume DOWN (on the cordless: button VOL-)
• MUTE (on the cordless: button
)
•Selection of channels (on the cordless: buttons 0 to 9)
Learning can occur from the remote control of any commercial TV trade mark, if the control
operates with IR.
Before operating, find the IR door on the cordless as well as on the TYV remote control, and
position them in such a way that the 2 doors face each other at a distance of ab. 2 meters.
CAUTION: During the learning procedure, it is important that you hold both devices (cordless
and TV remote control) motionless. Position them both in a steady way onto a table, at a
distance of 2cm.
Learning procedure:
1. On your cordless:
a. Press the button MENU.
b. Press once the button CH+ and then
to enter the Programming “8. Remote
Control”.
c. Press once the button CH- and then
to select “2. Learn”.
d. The display shows “Press Button”.
e. On your cordless press the button corresponding to a command, f.ex. button CH+
(channel up).
2. On the TV remote control: press and hold pressed the button corresponding to the control
(ex. CHANNEL UP).

3. Wait some seconds:
a. if the display of the cordless shows “Success” and then “Press a key”, learning
was successful, and you can proceed with another control (repeat the procedure fron
step 1.and.);
b. otherwise, if the display shows “Fail” and then “Press a key”, learning was not
successful, and you must repeat the learning procedure for the same control that has
given an error, in our example CH+ (channel up).
c. if nothing occurs, check the remote control function and repeat the procedure from
step 1.e.
4. At the end of the procedure, press the button MENU to leave programming.
8.3 REMOTE CONTROL MODE: TV CONTROLS
After configuring the cordless, to use it as a TV remote control you must enter the mode
REMOTE CONTROL preswsing the red button TV.
In this mode, the display shows “TV Control” and the icon TV . When a callll arrives, the mode
shall be automatically deactivated, and you can answer.
See section 3. DESCRIPTION OF THE CORDLESS to see the TV controls to be activated through
the buttons of your cordless phone.
Pressing again the red button TV, lthe mode REMOTE CONTROL shall be deactivated, and
the cordless returns to stand-by.
9. WARRANTY
Like all Brondi products, this product has a 12-month warranty. The packing of the DC6010TR
contains a special warranty card. For the warranty to be valid:
• the card must be completely filled in;
the the card must be accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or invoice, etc.);
• the packaging must be undamaged.
To correctly fill in the card, print the name of the product purchased (DC6010TR) and the
serial number (SN) printed under the base of the phone (if this is not already printed on the
waranty card).
Brondi reserves the right of modifying without notice the specifications and performance of
the product.

The DC6010TR has been designed and constructed for use in connection with the Italian
PSTN analogue telephone network. Product conforming to EEC Directive 89/336/CEE related
to the electromagnetic compatibility and also conforming to EEC Directive 73/23/CEE (low
voltage) related to safety regulations.
