This User Guide provides you with all the information
you need to get the most from your BT eFrame 1000.
You must rst set up your BT eFrame 1000 before you
can use it. This doesn’t take long as it is easy to do.
Just follow the simple instructions on the next
few pages.

Press to select functions

Pull out to replace the battery.
Use battery type CR2025.

Use the and buttons to scroll up and down the menu.
Press to select options.
Press repeatedly to return to the main menu at any time.
Remote control
Please remove the protective tab
covering the battery compartment
before use.

Setting up
1. Set up the eFrame.
Loosen the knob on the back of the frame and move the stand
to adjust the angle of the display. You can position the stand in
portrait or landscape format. Make sure you tighten the knob
securely after adjustment.

Getting started
Plug the mains power adaptor into the side of the BT eFrame, then
plug the other end into the wall socket and switch the power on.
Only use the cables provided.
The Welcome screen is displayed.
2. Set up Wizard
On the remote, press to start the Setup Wizard.

3. Set the time and date
The Hour box is highlighted. Press or to set the hour.
Press to highlight the Minute box. Press or to set
the Minute.
Press to highlight and set the Year, Month and Day.
Press to Save.

4. Scan for wireless networks
Press to search for available wireless connections.
Alternatively if you already know the details of your wireless
connection and prefer to enter manually press the button
and follow the on screen instructions.
The screen lists all available hubs or routers. The strongest signal
is shown at the top. Password protected hubs are indicated by
a symbol.

Scroll or to highlight the hub or router you want to
connect to.
Press .
If you have selected a router that requires you to enter an
encryption key or wireless key (one with a locked symbol), you will
be prompted to enter that key now.
If you use a BT Home Hub or router, then the wireless key is usually
shown on the back.
Press / / / to select a character and press .
When you have entered the full code, scroll to OK on the screen
and select .

WARNING
Do not locate your BT eFrame 1000 in
the bathroom or other humid areas.
5. Install BT eFrame 1000 Manager software
Insert the software CD provided into your computer. The program
will start automatically.
The wizard will then prompt you to install the BT eFrame 1000
Manger from the CD-ROM.
The software lets you:
• copy photos and music from your PC to your BT eFrame 1000.
• display photos stored on your PC.
• display photos from the Flickr™ website on your BT eFrame 1000.
• upgrade your BT eFrame 1000 rmware.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install.
When installation is completed, the BT eFrame 1000 Manager icon
will appear on your desktop.

When you install and run the software you may be prompted with
the following screen below. If this happens, just click Unblock.
Your BT eFrame 1000 is now ready for use.

Once the BT eFrame 1000 Manager software has been installed, you
can use your PC to add new photos or music to your frame.
Copy photos from your computer
You can copy photos from your computer either wirelessly or via the
USB cable connected to your BT eFrame 1000.
1. Click on the BT eFrame 1000 icon to open the BT eFrame
1000 Manager.
2. Click Copy Photos.
3. Click Browse and select the folder or photo you want to copy.
Or
Drag and drop photos or folders to the screen.
4. If necessary, select which eFrame you want to copy your photos to.
5. From your photo folder, drag and drop photos to the BT eFrame
1000 copy screen.

6. Click Copy. Your BT eFrame 1000 shows the copying progress then
displays the picture.
7. Click Cancel to stop copying.
Add or remove access to photos from My Computer
1. On your PC, click BT eFrame 1000 Manager.
2. Click on Photos on My Computers. Make sure the box ‘Enable my
eFrame to display pictures from my Computers wirelessly’ is ticked.
3. Click on Add, and select the photo folder you want to access.
4. Click Add to add another folder to the access list or Remove to
delete a folder from the access list.
Copy music
You can copy music wirelessly or when the USB cable is connected to
your BT eFrame 1000.

1. Click on the BT eFrame 1000 icon to open the BT eFrame
1000 Manager.
2. Click Copy Music.
3. Click Browse and select the folder or track you want to copy.

4. Click Copy. Your BT eFrame 1000 shows the copying progress then
displays the track.
Flickr™ RSS feeds
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and enables you to
publish your photos online for sharing and downloading to your
BT eFrame 1000.
Set up and use Flickr™ RSS feeds
From your PC
1. Click on the BT eFrame 1000 icon on the desktop to open the BT
eFrame 1000 Manager software.
2. Click on Manage Flickr ™ Albums (this will open the internet
browser on the Flickr™ homepage).
3. Log into your account.
4. Locate the and drag into the BT eFrame 1000 Manager.
(Note: photos must be set to “Public” to allow them to be
streamed to your frame).

5. Select the BT eFrame you want to copy to (if you have more than
one) by clicking the drop-down box and selecting from the list.
6. Press Update. A progress bar will indicate that the link is succesful.
7. Press Menu to return to main menu.
From the BT eFrame 1000
1. Click on Photos from the main menu.
2. Select Flickr™.
3. Press .
4. All of the folders that have been selected in the eFrame 1000
Manager software are shown and when highlighted the folder
name is displayed.
5. Scroll to the folder that you want to stream to your eFrame and
press .
6. Thumbnails of the les on the folder are shown and you have the
option to copy these to the
internal memory or press slideshow and the images will now be
displayed as a slideshow.

Using BT eFrame 1000 Manager
Software Update
As new features become available, you can receive software upgrades
for your BT eFrame 1000.
1. At your computer, click on the BT eFrame 1000 Manager.
2. Click Software Update. You are taken to the BT eFrame update
page. Follow the onscreen prompts to update your software.
Uninstall
You can safely remove your BT eFrame 1000 software from
your computer.
1. At your computer, press Start, Control Panel then
Add/Remove programs.
2. Scroll to BT eFrame then click Uninstall.
