Follow steps 1 thru 10 under "Weld Procedures" for proper
installation of mold onto ground rod and how to place
weld metal into mold.

Follow Single Shot welding instructions included with
mold or follow instructions on the back of this sheet.

Replace step 11 under "Weld
Procedures" with the following;
11. Discard ceramic lid included
with mold. Slide EZ-Lite
Remote® Single Shot Adapter
over mold as shown.

Follow instruction steps 12 through 14 under "Weld
Procedures on the back of this sheet to complete weld.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Weld only items mold is designed for.
2. Do not use worn or broken molds which could cause leakage of molten weld metal.
3. Do not alter molds or accessories without factory authorization.
4. Avoid breathing concentrations of smoke, as it may be hazardous to your health.
5. Avoid contact with hot materials.
6. Removeorprotectrehazardsintheweldingarea.
7. Avoid moisture and contaminants in the mold and materials being welded. Contact of molten weld metal with moisture or contami
nants may cause porous welds or weld metal to spew out of mold.
8. Failure to abide by the above may result in improper welds, damage to the material being welded or be hazardous to the individual.
WELD PROCEDURES
1. Cable must be bright, clean and dry.
2.
Ends that are threaded, mushroomed from driving, or drilled and tapped, must be cut off.
Contact factory about ground rod
driving sleeves.
3. Endofgroundrodsmustbeclean.Useacoarseletoremoverustandoxide.
4. Whenremovingmoldfrombox,removelid,diskandweldmetalcartridgeandsave.(seegure1)
5. Rollmoldongroundrod.Donottwist.(seegure2)
6. Placecableintomoldsothattheendofthecableisatthecenterofthemold.(step1)
7. Pressmolddownongroundrodtillthecableisagainstthegroundrod.(step2)
8. Support wire to prevent pullout during welding.
9. Placediskinmoldbeingsureconcavesideisup.(step3)
10.Pourweldmetalfromcartridgeintomoldcrucible.(step4)
11. Place EZ-Lite Remote®SingleShotAdapteronmold.(step5)
12. Insert the EZ Lite®ignitor in the connector of thermOweld EZ Lite Remote®Unit. Place the ignitor in the top opening of the EZ Lite
Remote® Single Shot Adapter allowing the connector to rest on the top.
13. Turn the power button to the “ON” position on the EZ Lite Remote®Unitfollowedbythe“operate”buttonuntiltheexothermic 
reaction is initiated.
14. After 30 seconds, mold may be removed by breaking or left on.
NOTES:
• Refertotheaboveinstructionsandthe(MaterialSafetyDataSheet)forfullinformationandinstructionsonuse.
WARNING NOTES:
• Avoidbreathingsmoke,dustorfumes.Maycauseirritationordamagetorespiratorysystem.
• Avoid contact with hot molten metals. Contact will cause burns.
• Avoidcontactofhotmoltenmetalwithwater,oil,grease,etc.(Contactcouldcauseexcessivespatterandburns)
• Donotuseinareaswheredustorammablevaporsarepresent.Areorexplosioncouldresult.
CAUTION NOTES:
• Avoidriskofre.Storeindry,wellventilatedcontrolledacessarea.
• Avoidlookingdirectlyattheashofthereaction.Mayirritateeyes.
