formationconcerningtheBYEBIKEwarranty.
Youmustensurethatwarrantyanddelivery
filesareproperlycompleted.Keepyourvehi-
cleinperfectconditionandgetmaximumpro-
tectionunderwarrantybyensuringthatyour
vehiclereceivesregularcareinaccordance
withtheBYEBIKErecommendations.
BYE BIKE Warranty
TECNIGASPARTSS.L.(HereinafterTG)as
manufacturerofBYEBIKEvehicles(herein-
afterBB)herebywarrantstotheconsumer,
thepurchaserofavehiclemanufacturedby
TG,boththematerialsandthemanufacturing
arefreeofdefectsinaccordancewiththe
highestqualitystandards.Consequently,TG,
herebyguaranteestheconsumer(hereafter,
the"buyer"),inaccordancewiththeconditions
statedbelow,repairingdefectsinmaterials
andworkmanshipdetectedonanewvehicle
withoutcharge,withintheperiodofwarranty
withoutanylimitationinthenumberofkilo-
metresornumberofoperatinghours.
ThisWarrantyandServiceRecordmust
beavailabletothedealerwhenrequesting
revisions,repairsorwarranty.
Keepthismanual,asitwillberequestedto
benefitfromthewarranty,aswellasforfuture
referencesyoumayneed.Thismanualshould
beconsideredpartofthevehicleandshould
remainwithhimincaseoftransmission.
Warranty Period
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedate
ofregistrationofthevehicleor,ifthevehicle
remainswithoutregistering,fromthedateof
sale.
Thesellerisresponsiblefornonconformi-
tiesthatbecomeapparentwithintherequire-
mentsofLaw23/2003July10ofGuarantees
SalesofConsumerGoodsandwithDirective
1999/44/ECforMemberStatesoftheEuro-
peanCommunity.Forcountriesoutsidethe
EuropeanCommunity,thewarrantyperiod
shallbegovernedbytheregulationsthereof.
However,ifthenonconformitybecomes
apparentduringthefirstsixmonthsafterthe
saleofthevehicle,itisassumedthatthefault
existedwhenthevehiclewasdelivered;from
thesixthmonth,theconsumermustprove
thatthenonconformityexistedwhenthevehi-
clewasdelivered.Duringthefirstsixmonths
afterthedeliveryoftherepairedvehicle,the
sellerisliableagainstforthenonconformity
whichledtherepair.
Anydefectsdetectedintheproductmust
bebroughttotheattentionofanauthorized
BYEBIKEdealerduringthewarrantyperiod.
IfthelastdayofthewarrantyperiodisaSun-
dayorpublicholiday,thewarrantyperiodwill
beextendeduntilthenextbusinessday.
Warrantyclaimsfornonconformitiesnot
broughttotheattentionofanauthorizedBYE
BIKEdealerbeforetheendofthewarranty
periodwillbeexcluded.
Buyer obligations
TGisentitledtodenyanywarrantyif:
1.Thebuyerhasfailedtosubmitthevehicle
toanyoftheinspectionsand/orservicework
requiredintheuser'smanualand/orexceed-
edthedatesetforsuchinspectionsorservice
work.Italsobeexcludedfromthewarranty
anynonconformitythatappearedbeforethe
datesetforaninspectionorservicework
andthisinspectionorserviceworkwasnot
carriedoutoritwascarriedoutafterthedate
setbyTG.
2.Whenaninspection,serviceworkand/
orrepairofthevehiclehavebeenexecutedby
thirdpartiesnotrecognizedbyTG.
3.Anyserviceworkand/orrepairhas
beenexecutedinviolationofthetechnical
requirements,specificationsandinstructions
ofthemanufacturer.
4.SparepartsnotauthorizedbyTGhave

beenusedinserviceworksand/orrepairs
orwhenfuels,lubricantsandotherliquids
(includingcleaningproducts)thatwerenotex-
presslymentionedbythemanufacturerhave
beenusedinthevehicle.
5.Thevehiclehasbeeninanywayaltered,
modifiedorfittedwithcomponentsthatnot
havebeenspecificallyauthorizedbyTG.
6.Thevehiclehasbeenstoredortrans-
portednotinagreementwiththetechnical
requirements.
7.Thevehiclehasbeenusedforaspecial
useotherthantheordinaryone,likeraces.
8.Thevehiclehassufferedanaccident.
Warranty Exclusions
Thefollowingitemsareexcludedfromthe
warranty:
1.Wearpartsincluding,withoutlimitation,
sparkplugs,batteries,fuelfilters,airfilter
elements,chain,engineoutputpinions,
sprockets,airfilters,brakediscsordrums,
padsorbrakeshoes,clutchdiscs,bulbs,fus-
es,footrestrubbers,tyres,tubes,cablesand
otherrubbercomponents.
2.Lubricants(suchasoil,grease,...)and
workingfluids(batteryliquid,coolant...).
3.Inspection,adjustmentandothermainte-
nanceaswellasallkindofcleaningjobs.
4.Paintdamageandconsequentcorro-
sionduetoexternalfactors(suchasstones,
salt,exhaustgasesandotherenvironmental
impacts),impropercleaningorunsuitable
productinfluences.
5.Damagecausedbynonconformities
anddirectlyorindirectlyexpenses(commu-
nicationcosts,accommodationexpenses,
carhirecosts,publictransportcosts,courier
costs...)andotherdamages(causedbythe
lossofuseofavehicle,lossofrevenue,loss
oftime...).
6.Acousticoraestheticphenomenathatdo
notsignificantlyaffecttheuseofthevehicle
(forexample,smallorhiddenimperfections,
noiseorvibrations).
7.Nonconformitiesduetoageofthevehicle
(forexample,discolouringofpainting).
Notes
1.Iftherepairofthenonconformityor
replacementoftheaffectedpartisoutofpro-
portion,TGcandecideinitssolediscretion
whethertorepairortoreplacedefectiveparts.
2.Theownershipofthereplacedpartsshall
passtoTGwithoutanyotherconsideration.
TheauthorizedBYEBIKEdealerentrusted
torepairthevehicleisnotauthorizedtodo
bindingdeclarationsonbehalfofBYEBIKE
orTG.
3.Incaseofdoubtregardingtheexistence
ofadefectorifainspectionisrequired,TG
reservestherighttorequestthereturnofthe
affectedpartsortoarrangeaninspectionof
thedefectbyanTGexpert.Anyadditional
warrantyobligationsforpartsreplacedfree
ofchargeorforanyserviceprovidedwithout
chargeunderthiswarrantyshallbeexcluded.
Warrantyofthereplacedpartsunderwarran-
typeriodwillendonthedateofexpiryofthe
warrantyperiodoftheproductconcerned.
4.Ifadefectcannotberepairedandthe
replacinghasadisproportionatecosttothe
manufacturer,buyerwillbeentitledtocancel
thecontract(compensationpayment)ora
partialrefundofthepurchaseprice(discount)
insteadofrepairingthevehicle.
5.Warrantyclaimsbythepurchaserunder
thecontractofsalewiththecorresponding
authorizedBYEBIKEdealershallnotbe
affectedbythiswarranty.Thiswarrantydoes
notaffectanyadditionalcontractualrightsof
thepurchaserunderthegeneralconditionsof
theauthorizedBYEBIKEdealer.
6.Ifthepurchaserresellstheproductwithin
thewarrantyperiod,thetermsandconditions
ofthiswarrantywillbetransferredtothenew
ownerofthevehicle.

1.2. Practice
Evenifyouhaveriddenothermotorbikes,
practiceridinginasafeplacetobecome
familiarwithhowthisvehicleworksand
handles,andtobecomeaccustomedtothe
vehicle'ssizeandweight.Donotrideifyou
arenotqualifiedandonlylendyourvehicle

Makesurethatyouarephysicallyfit,

drugs.Checkthatyouandyourpassenger
arebothwearinganapprovedmotorcycle

iness,nausea,confusion,andeventually
death.

Carbon monoxide is toxic.
Do not run engine indoors.
Donotrunengineinpoorlyventilatedor
partiallyenclosedareas,carbonmonoxide
canrapidlyreachdangerouslevels.

Maintenanceistheownersresponsibil-
ity.Allmaintenanceoperationsmustbe
doneinordertokeepthevehicleingood
condition.

andspecificationsbyproperlytrainedand

equippedtechnicians.Yourauthorised
dealermeetsalloftheserequirementsand
canextendtothemaximumyourvehicle's

1.7. After-market parts, ac-
cessories and modifications
Addingaccessoriesorcargotoyour
vehiclecanadverselyaffectstabilityand
handling.Westronglyadvisethatyoudo
notaddanyaccessoriesthatwerenotspe-
cificallydesignedforyourvehiclebyBYE
BIKEormakemodificationstoyourscooter
fromitsoriginaldesign.Doingsocanmake
itunsafe.Modifyingyourvehiclemayalso
voidyourwarrantyandmakeyourvehicle
illegaltooperateonpublicroads.Before
decidingtoinstallaccessoriesonyourve-
hiclebecertainthemodificationissafeand
legal.Donotpullatrailerwith,orattacha

• Drivermusttakeanaturalposture,
